The meat was sliced very inconsistently, with some pieces cut thick and others cut extremely thin. This made the sandwich difficult to eat and took away from the overall experience. The pork ribs were okay, but nothing memorable. The side dishes were also underwhelming--very small portions and average in flavor. For the price, I expected larger sides and better attention to detail with the meat preparation. The restaurant has potential, but consistency is important when serving BBQ. Unfortunately, the uneven tri-tip cuts and small side portions left me feeling unsatisfied. This review refers to Best Bar-BQ in Santa Paula, which is known for its tri-tip sandwiches and ribs. Good luck with parking. The most memorable part was the spicy bbq sauce.

For $13 bucks you get a personal pizza with two toppings, a small salad and a drink. After placing my order I was told my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I got there in 12 minutes and they were pulling it out of the oven as I was walking in. Service here was on point. Good portion of food considering the lunch special. The pizza was of good quality and tasty. Very thin pizza crust. Salad was also good and fresh. Overall I really did like this place and would definitely come back again. We settled down for a couple of drinks- With the recommendation of the bartender's top drink choices- I choose to get a lemon drop. The lemon drop was a perfect ending to my night. Great for a warm night. Dillon, the bartender, also suggested a spritz and margarita. I will be back for a bloody Mary with stuffed olives, but maybe for brunch. On the brunch menu, I am looking forward to trying an eggs benedict with my drink. As for ambiance- Parque 1055 is a great space. The restaurant has an event space- on the night we were visting they were doing painting. It's an old automotive repair shop that's been transformed into a beautiful restaurant, with what was once the parking lot now serving as a massive outdoor dining patio. It's a great blend of history and modern design. We came during happy hour, which was a great value. My wife enjoyed a glass of wine, I had a beer, and both were discounted. We shared the surf and turf (ahi and filet), which was excellent, along with the flatbread pizza. The clam chowder was one of the highlights--a huge bowl loaded with real clams. We finished the evening with fried ice cream and an espresso, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding. Every person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great food, great drinks, outstanding service, and one of the best outdoor dining atmospheres in Ventura County. We'll definitely be back.

I was happy to see the non meat options they have available. I was a bit bummed out they didn't have their hummus but it's just another excuse for me to go back. I did end up getting their cauliflower tacos. My friend got their avocado fries and their devil eggs. I had never had devil eggs, and tried those and were so good. I wanted more but I had already had all my tacos. I did appreciate the owner coming to greet us and finding out I was pescatarian. He was nice, mentioned that even though they are a BBQ spot, they still want to value those customers that don't eat, and asked if there's anything I think of to let him know to see if they can add it to the menu.
