I got there in 12 minutes and they were pulling it out of the oven as I was walking in. Service here was on point. Good portion of food considering the lunch special. The pizza was of good quality and tasty. Very thin pizza crust. Salad was also good and fresh. Overall I really did like this place and would definitely come back again. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich "wet," covered in their homemade buffalo sauce with bacon and lettuce. You can customize it with cheese, tomato, or any toppings you like. It came with a generous serving of perfectly crispy fries that paired perfectly with the sandwich. My wife ordered the wings and chose half traditional buffalo and half garlic lemon pepper. They were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Her meal came with celery, carrots, ranch, extra buffalo sauce, ketchup, and she couldn't resist adding an order of their delicious fries as well. The food arrived quickly, was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and, as always, we had an amazing time. Their red sauce is spicy and distinctive with just a little more vinegar than I would consider optimal. Bare bones presentation with sauce and grated cheese and nothing else. Nice paper container (not styrofoam). See pictures. The chocolate shake was also well made and satisfying. This beloved local institution has been here for a couple generations. It's clean, well run and friendly. The owner was kind and friendly to my dog. I'd come back any time. And they have a new location on Main Street in midtown Ventura now.

We shared the surf and turf (ahi and filet), which was excellent, along with the flatbread pizza. The clam chowder was one of the highlights--a huge bowl loaded with real clams. We finished the evening with fried ice cream and an espresso, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding.
