Pizza was not made how I ordered it. They could have easily remade the pizza to add the 2 toppings that were missed, instead they had me wait while I had to call the call center to replace the order I had ordered originally. They never received the order and had to manually take the order all over again just to charge me the 2 missing toppings. While waiting through that inconvenience, my ordered appetizers got cold. They could have just charged me for the missing toppings. Such a hassle, I would not recommend coming to this location. Their incompetence is a disgrace to PizzaMan Dan's reputation. Their women's restroom was so disgusting. I understand it's a restroom but they could at least had a spray to make it tolerable and clean. read more

Always had a great experience here except this time. I placed an order through their call center at 9:50 and they told me to pick up in 15 minutes which meant 1005 five minutes after closing . As I stood at the front door knocking there was three ladies inside who paid no attention to the fact that I was there. I stood at the front for about 10 minutes knocking while they all ignored me so I decided to go around where I met this lovely girl named Natalie. She had a smile on her face apologized and said it'll be about 10 to 15 minutes. so obviously what happened was whoever was working the orders ignored my order and and just decided to close down but Natalie came to the rescue and made my order happen so I may be giving this establishment a one star, but Natalie definitely gets five stars. Service was great went in just for Drinks and to watch the Dodgers game. It was during the week so it was very nice and calm very friendly people. Usually it will be packed on a Friday night. We meant to stop into the draft bar and grill next door but after a very unwelcome greeting with 4 kiddos (and 4 adults) we decided to move next door to this little gem. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. The staff were very accommodating and sweet. They were patient and kind to our kiddos. They have a wonderful kiddy meal that made them feel special, which included toy cars, a pizza box for coloring etc. One of the servers noticed our kiddos wearing dias de la muertes face paint and she was excited to show us a display they had set up for them to take pictures in front of. (Pictured below). The place was clean, had video game options for the kids and lots of TVs. The food was delicious (wings nachos and pizza! GETTING HERE: Pizza Man Dan's is located in the old Garman's Pub on Main Street in Santa Paula. RIP to Garman's. An icon. :( REVIEW: Not too bad! Santa Paula is moving up in the world. For what it's worth, I've only been to 1 other PMD prior to this visit. But that is no matter as it's now added to my fave go-to's. I placed a pick-up order via phone (which was pretty seamless...think Toppers ordering) and unfortunately, I arrived late to pick up my food. Service was great; the young man who rang up my order was sincere and friendly. Sadly, I did experience a hiccup as I had called back to add on a pizza cookie to the rest of my order. It was on my receipt (which I didn't notice) but the young man didn't have the cookie with the rest of my food. I asked him about it, but he was as confused as I was. People were lining up behind me (and scowling at me) and I did the absolute thing I ^never do...I let it go. The young man was pretty sure (as was I) that it was a small hiccup on the ordering side and it didn't process to the location. We both (wrongly) assumed that all was well. Eeek. I did get charged. I didn't receive my pizza cookie. I called the next day (after 24 hours) and was informed that my order is no longer visible to them after 24 hours. Food for thought for next time. :) But, yes. Enthusiastic welcome as I entered. It was very hot inside. I asked the waitress/hostess if the AC was working? She said she thought they forgot to turn it on & the box was locked and she didn't have the key. Tried to eat & get out quickly, as it seemed to get hotter inside. The pizza was pretty good. And the potato wedges were fresh & very crispy. The salad bar was good, with the exception of the imitation bacon bits. Yuck. And the lowest quality croutons made. The soda machine had little flies swarming around it. Based on this particular visit with the AC not working, I probably wouldn't dine in again- but would order pizza for delivery. read more

I decided to give this place another chance after my burnt pizza incident and this time pizza man dan didn't let me down. I got a veggie pizza on gf crust individual size as I wasn't that hungry and it came out crispy but not burnt. It also came with mushrooms but I asked without them, the veggies on this pizza were really good and wasn't over saturated with sauce which I liked. My friends got some cheese pizzas and a buffalo chicken pizza. We came in around 2:30 and it wasn't that busy inside, pizza came out hot, fresh and quickly. They also have a full bar as well as a soda fountain and a salad bar with many options on the menu to choose from besides pizza. I've been here several times for family parties and every single time the bar is understaffed. On busy Friday and Saturday nights there needs to be a barback pouring beers. It shouldn't take 10-15 min to get 3-4 drinks every single time, especially when they're all beer. Don't even get me started on ordering mixed drinks. The salad bar also needs to be checked more often. There have been rotten and expired toppings and dressings. The pizza is always on point and the staff is very nice. Rubbish. No wait staff. Must get your own soft drinks like QSR. Bar is a separate tab and you have to get your own drinks, which interupts the meal. Pizza is decent, but pricey. Lots of fruit flys over the olives at the salad bar. These guys charged me $10 for All You Can Eat salad bar and $1 for dressing. Nickel and dime is the reputation here. Complete rip off, bad music, small TVs, dirty bathrooms, hot inside (no AC?), STAY AWAY. Last time here, smelled like sewage, at least that was fixed this time. Only came back b/c Hanger Bar was closed for private event. Get this regional chain out of SP, we deserve better. read more

Pizza Man Dans! I was so happy to finally find a Pizza Man Dans out here in Santa Paula!!! I have been waiting!!! Okay, my excitement is overwhelming. Yummy pizza! Great location! I wish they had the back door open for guests all the time because everyone wants to park out back. Last time I went I was told by one of the guys who was delivering pizza that it was for employees only. Well.. that's upsetting! That means every customer has to walk all the way around the block unless they get a front parking spot which is not easy especially for groups. I love their Pizza! Dan is great! So happy! read more

Great new addition to downtown Santa Paula. Awesome clean and well decorated environment. Salad bar was super fresh (albeit I ate within the first hour of the first day). Staff are super friendly and my pizza was great. I was surprised when I saw tacos coming out, but this location also has some Mexican dishes. Will definitely try them next visit.
