I did not expect them to look brand new when they were finished. I was at home for a little while finishing up some stuff when the crew started to work. Curious, I watched for a few minutes - one guy was using a big sander, one guy was using a hand sander bent over like a hairpin, and one guy on his hands and knees was using this hand tool to get into every nook and corner of the floor. They worked so hard to get it done quickly and beautifully. They started Monday, and I was back in the house Wednesday. My ONLY complaint, and it's really nothing they had any control over, is the smell of the stain/varnish. It's overwhelming, even after airing out the house for over 24 hours. Then again, the people who came over to help me move my furniture back into place said they liked the smell... Anyway, for what my opinion is worth, I HIGHLY recommend A&F Flooring! Larry Jr was great to work with during the project. He informed of us of all progress and milestones daily. When we ordered a washer and dryer that would not fit he found other parts of the project to work on until we could get what would fit. From start to finish they took three weeks. Our project was definitely a large task in our eyes as they rerouted all the plumbing within a concrete slab. As you can see the finished project is beautiful and we are no longer embarrassed when someone requests to use our bathroom.
