If you need someone to painstakingly go thru house that has been lived in by one person for 60…read moreyears Mark and his team are your guys. It started out with a phone call by me to him to see if he could come by the property to decide if an estate sale was even feasible. Look, let's be real, when a parent is less than discerning about what they are randomly dumping at Goodwill and you have no say in what is being given away, when the time comes, you will wonder if what's left is all just a quick garage sale so you can move on to other pressing matters regarding that parent's life. Mark came and saw a lot of treasure (much to my surprise)! He quickly scheduled one month of toiling thru box after box, closet after closet, room after room and did an incredible amount of research on family items that were REALLY worth quite a bit. He scheduled THREE FULL weekends of estate sales, all perfectly executed, even thru some unexpected cold days. He's been doing this along time. He know his stuff and yours. But what's really special about him and his team is their listening skills. I was (and TMI, still am) extremely appreciative of the afternoons we spent combing thru the house talking about pieces and their history and his shoulder and ear to vent a bit (ok a lot) when the family drama was overwhelming. He's not fancy. But he's GOOOD. And I will take GOOOD over fancy anytime there's money involved. He'll tear down a house filled with tchotchke and spend his nights playing mental Tetris to get it all in the best possible order to make you the most money. AND HE WILL. Don't let some of those negative reviews work against him. Those are buyers who are put out because he cares about the number of people in one house at a time. I mean think about it.. how many people DO you want traipsing through your parent's house without supervision? He IS militant about the number of people shopping in a house at one time and that is important when you have valuables and or high break items. He is guarding your merchandise to make you money folks, don't get it twisted! Because of the number of items in the house, I think start to finish took a little less that two months. His clean up, collection and donation routine was really fast and complete. There were only a few pieces left that were decided early on would remain for house staging if not purchased. It was a a very good experience considering the circumstances that these contracts occur under. Mark and Javier and their team were nothing but friendly and professional and I will readily recommend them and their services to any friends who will need their services in the future.

We had been receiving private lessons and the instructor himself (Jorge) is great, the rest of the store is blah. Staff will generally not speak to you unless they have to. Management is non-existent. No voice mail, no email address, and the contact form only accepts a couple hundred characters. It's almost like they go out of their way to tell the client "We don't want to hear from you." Your lessons have an expiration date that they try to claim is to encourage people to stay current, which I don't buy. They also will charge you for about a month's worth of lessons at a time, so when you cancel, you're still on the hook for a bit longer. No business owner worth their salt accepts money for service they don't provide, or for poor service. Do better. We cancelled our private lessons and will drive past it to continue because of the apathetic service. Hard pass.

My family financed a flute from this company and for 3 years I never had a problem with my payments. When it came to MY LAST PAYMENT I needed a few days extension (due to an unforseen expense) and the company couldn't do that. There was only one card I could use for the payment and that resulted in me incurring an overdraft fee. Even though I have not work for 1 year I still made my payments on time and there was nothing that customer service could do for me. I had never asked for an extension the entire time I had "a contract" with them. When you call customer service it takes 30 mins - 3+ hours for a representative to pick up the call. When I called about getting an extension I had 2 representatives disconnect my call. DO NOT DO ANY FINANCING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

He said he goes by the name Ricky Ortiz. Just had to come on here and say whatever he's getting paid he's not getting enough! He was kind enough to go out of his way to close a chair that had been stuck in my car forever taking up so much space. He saved me so much time and irritation. I normally hate having to interact with people when I'm dropping things off because I'm antisocial lol but I really appreciated the help and needed to make sure it was recognized by his management.

The setup is a bit uncoordinated in the clothing and it can be chaotic when checking out because anyone trying to look at the jewelry wall will keep bumping into to you. Would have been better if there was a bit of inches away from the counter that you don't keep bumping into the checkout poles. Overall, very overpriced, yet suggest only buying when clothes are 50% off. Lately, all Goodwill stores have been more over inflated in prices and ironic since all is freely donated. Almost forced to go back to shopping mainstream retail for they have been offering more sales and affordable prices (without some unique variety at times). It is al frustrating when items are not marked and then getting a higher price than expected. Not one I myself would return to and there was a small boutique next door, but just as overpriced.

STORAGE BUYERS BEWARE!!!!…read more I won a storage unit thru an auction on Friday (10/3/25). I was able to review the pictures online before making my bid & and I didn't see anything that concerned me. When I arrived at the Storage Mart (1575 Thousand Oaks Dr), the attendant was quick to open the unit and walk away. One step in I noticed syringes laying around the unit. There was drug paraphernalia scattered around in multiple spots. There were even a few open syringes still filled with drugs in them. I am sure there was more. We just stopped searching the unit for our safety. It's strange how none of the pictures taken showed any of this. I talked to the 1st attendant as soon as I noticed all this, and he stated he was just filling in, but he would make a note of it. The next day (10/4/25), I spoke with a different employee working, and she refused to go look at the unit and even refused to look at the pictures I took. (She did mention the owners of the unit would go early every morning & leave late in the evening. She said that she thought they were running a bike repair shop out of the unit) Storage Mart refused to hear what I have to say, even refused to look into the matter & even refused to offer a refund. I was still required to clean the unit in order to get back my cleaning fees. I would recommend anyone trying to do business with this location be cautious.
