We were seated and noticed a large ad for a free Veteran's meal on November 11th. More about that later. We had heard about the "award winning wings", so I decided to try them as I enjoy good wings. BAD choice! When my wings were delivered, I had to send them back as they were burnt and charred on the bottom and looked basically inedible. I showed them to the server and she said she was sorry and the wings and fries were replaced about 15 minutes later. At least the wings were - there were no fries so she was sent back for more and they were served another ten minutes later. The second order of "award winning wings" were only marginally better than the first, but I ate part of them anyway as I was very hungry by then. To make a long story short, as I am a 36-year veteran of the CAF, I will forego this place on Remembrance Day and future occasions and vote with my feet, as we have dozens of other places to eat, free or not, in Kingston.
