    Chicken burrito without sour cream
    Emily L.

Went here for my first time in the 2022 season and it did not disappoint! The place was swamped as usual but the owner has a great system to try to keep as many customers happy as possible. Instead of rushing orders out, I appreciate that he takes the time to make each order correctly and the best they can be. I got the steak burrito and my mom got a chicken burrito (we both get sour cream on the side). They come with chips and salsa on the side. Happy to say that, that these are still the best burritos I have ever had. Check this place out, but try to give yourself time because he gets so busy.

Called for take out Saturday after Labor Day for lunch. It was crazy busy. Ordered one burrito and nachos which came to $23. On the bright side it was a ton of food. On the downside the food wasn't good. Most of the ingredients tasted like it comes out of a can. Evidence of that was the large cans of ingredients behind the counter. I was taken back a bit to find sliced carrots on the nachos (not lower right hand corner of pic). The steak burrito was just meh. I would rate Qdoba higher which is a baseline for Tex Mex. There are better options to eat in this town. I know the shore commands a premium price on food but was expecting it to be good.

    So good!

Outstanding authentic Mexican in OCNJ. Coming from a California native - the tacos, burritos, chips and salsa were all

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon before heading to the boardwalk. A few tables outside and inside. I ordered the Baja Fish Taco which came with chips and salsa. We paid at the counter and waited at a table outside. The taco was excellent. However, listening to the owner's/manager's kids ride back and forth on their scooters for the full time I was there was not excellent. Thus, four stars instead of five. I would have thought they were just random kids, however a man from inside the store came out and told them to be careful riding.

A picture is worth a thousand words!! Baja fish taco

Rojo's Baja fish tacos are the BEST!! The homemade tortilla chips are an added bonus!! Once you are done ordering inside, take a seat at a picnic table and your order will be delivered to you with a smile!!

The service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes for tacos that weren't even good. Don't waste your time.

*Excellent* tacos, specifically the fried fish and chorizo. Husband loved his burrito. Don't miss this place!

Love this place. Great food. Kind of atmosphere I want for mexican food. Not your typical "big Mexican restaurant" food.

Once we were sat we waited around 15 min for our waitress. She took our order but here's where everything turned for the worse. We have been waiting for our food since 7:40 it has now been almost an hour and still no food in sight. 8:45 we received bread and a salad. The place closes in 30min maybe we will receive our food before they shut the lights off. You have been warned.

Someone suggested we try this place out since it has Mexican food and Italian food (Italian food being the easier option for someone who is picky about food). A couple owns the restaurant, the wife is Italian and the husband is Mexican. So, they serve both in their restaurant. The reason I'm giving this place three stars is because my friend, who is a picky eater asked for bread for the table since she saw other tables with it. The waitress told her that she had to have an Italian meal to get the bread. However, my friend got pizza and a salad so we were super confused. The waitress wasn't too happy with us either. I got the fajitas and they were just okay, I probably won't be back honestly. There also weren't many people in the restaurant on a Friday night and I feel like that goes to show the quality for the place.
