8th and Atlantic, tucked next to the Pavilion Motor Lodge front office.

Stopped by the lovely Brenda's Cafe in Ocean City for a late breakfast. Wow! If you weren't staying in the Pavilion Hotel (or maybe the Forum across the street) you could easily miss it, and that would be a shame. It's literally part of the Pavilion at 8th and Atlantic, beach block. Hard to imagine a better location for foot traffic. There's a covered patio with AstroTurf that was perfect on the sunny, breezy Friday morning. Brenda's is billed as authentic Mexican cuisine and a neon sign out front reinforces "Breakfast." Therefore we settled on huevos rancheros and the breakfast tacos. Wow! again. Everything is cooked to order and was crazy fresh. I mean garden fresh. The onions were sweet and crunchy. The tomatoes were firm and juicy. The black beans were delicious. For both dishes the street taco sized tortillas were freshly grilled, crispy edges and delicate centers that didn't break despite being generously filled. We also got a side order of home fries that were kind of magical. No ads-ins, onions or pepper. No additional salt to be detected. Just small potatoes cut in halves and wedges, subtle, even seasoning throughout. Simple. Absolutely delicious. Our only regret was finding Brenda's on the last morning of our stay but we come down a couple times a summer and will absolutely put this on top rotation! Loved everything about our visit. Kudos to Brenda and her family.

Service was amazing and food was so good. Went for breakfast and got the waffle which was perfect and simple and the quesadilla was so delicious and the sauces were perfect. They gave a homemade hot sauce and it was amazing. Def recc esp over augie's.

Best breakfast in OC! I highly recommend the French toast with fruit. The ice coffee is perfect too!

The coffee has no natural coffee flavor, and it took 20 minutes to place an order. Unfortunately, the food was also quite disappointing

There was a difficult language barrier while speaking on the phone as it was strictly spanish. Not only that, but staff seems to be very negligent and distracted while on duty having their backs turned seemingly doing nothing as it was not busy. I could not understand/hear what they were saying behind the counter, they need to speak up. They were very unfriendly and raised their voice at me. Pt2/update; I was debating whether or not to post the last review as i have gone to Rojos for a long time standing and as far as i knew them it had been a respectable and very friendly business. I've had a little bit of everything on their menu and today i settled for a Quesadilla Al Pastor as it has always been one of my favorites or had been. For starters the meat was very smell and oily and i thought it was Choriza, not pork. Not only did it lack the correct meat it also lacked pineapple i could not find many pineapple pieces and it looked like onions. I called back to try and make sense of the confusion and the lady was very hostile and aggressive she raised her voice at me and did not offer any type of solution or apology for the whatever mistake had happened, she assured me it was pastor although it was appeared NOT to be. I understand it is the end of the day and the only other reason i could see the meat could be this minute and mutilated was if only it had been the leftovers from the day. Again, i understand the day is coming to an end but if the staff or cooks see that the chosen food is running low, id rather them be transparent about it than give me garbage leftovers from the bottom of the bin. At the very end of the day it brings me a lot of shame to have to post this about what i once believed to be a hidden gem in OC i hope they hire friendlier and more competent staff, the customer is ALMOST always right.

Once we were sat we waited around 15 min for our waitress. She took our order but here's where everything turned for the worse. Someone suggested we try this place out since it has Mexican food and Italian food (Italian food being the easier option for someone who is picky about food). A couple owns the restaurant, the wife is Italian and the husband is Mexican. So, they serve both in their restaurant. The reason I'm giving this place three stars is because my friend, who is a picky eater asked for bread for the table since she saw other tables with it. The waitress told her that she had to have an Italian meal to get the bread. However, my friend got pizza and a salad so we were super confused. The waitress wasn't too happy with us either. I got the fajitas and they were just okay, I probably won't be back honestly. There also weren't many people in the restaurant on a Friday night and I feel like that goes to show the quality for the place.
