Chips, guac, marg, vegetarian combo with spinach quesadilla, potato burrito, cheese enchilada.

I love any Mexican place that has brisk but not pushy service, serves a delicious margarita and has vegetarian options! I got the veggie combo with spinach quesadilla, potato burrito, and cheese enchilada. Yumtastic. That potato burrito is such an unexpected taste party! Not like "LAStyle" with french fries and whatnot, this sucker has small, thin bits of potato that are crispy and goooeeeed!!! I thought it was just slightly dry, and I also thought that if they combined the filling of the spinach quesadilla with the potato filling and rolled THAT into a burrito, they could change the World!!! Lol. But what do I know? They created it and I liked it! Maybe some enchilada sauce on the side would do the trick, because that sauce was so killer! Loved the trio in this combo. Highly recommend this place to vegetarians in Clarksburg/Bridgeport area.

Supposed to be a Chili Relleno, it came out pretty much looking like a pile of green mush.

Wow, I can't really say much good. The beans tasted like they came from a can, the chicken was tough and under seasoned. The salsa was decent but nothing special. My chili relano on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. It looked like some sort of soggy tempura batter covering it and there was nothing inside, no trace of cheese at all. The pepper looked like it had been cooked days ago and microwaved. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Atmosphere- B Service - A Food - A This newly opened restaurant is located near the UHC hospital and White Oaks hotels and businesses. Seating was comfortable with large booths in both areas. The main area also has a small bar area and large windows. We are fortunate to have other good Mexican restaurants in the vicinity- but we count this as the first choice. Have not eaten at the other locations, but this one was extremely good.

Great food and good service! The most unique item is the Mexi-ranch. Glad to have this place around.

**Restaurant Review: El Rey, Bridgeport, WV**…read more El Rey in Bridgeport, WV, is the kind of place that sneaks up on you. Tucked away in a strip mall, it doesn't scream for attention, but once you step inside, the buzz of conversation and the scent of something sizzling on the grill hits you like a freight train. It's clear you're about to experience something real. I ordered the "Fajita Canada," and damn, what a plate. It arrives at your table like a scene from a movie--seafood and vegetables still crackling on the hot skillet, steam rising, the promise of a meal that's about to wreck your sense of what dinner should be. The seafood was fresh, plucked from wherever it could be found, and the vegetables had that crispness you only get from knowing your way around a flame. The flavors are bold, unapologetic, and honest--exactly what you want from a place like this. It's not about presentation or pretense; it's about the food and the people who make it. The service is no-nonsense, and the space feels like a refuge from the bland sameness you find in so many places these days. If you're in Bridgeport and looking for something that's more than just a meal, head to El Rey. Order the Fajita Canada. Let it take you somewhere far from the ordinary.
