My girlfriends wanted to visit Don Patrons and this was my first visit. We arrived at 5pm and were immediately seated. The waiter was very efficient servicing ships and salsa, and getting our drink orders. He came back minutes later witih drinks and took our orders. The seating was generour and we were in a comfortable booth; LOVED the glass lights and wall decorations. The order arrived very quickly hot, steaming, and aromatic! I love any Mexican place that has brisk but not pushy service, serves a delicious margarita and has vegetarian options! I got the veggie combo with spinach quesadilla, potato burrito, and cheese enchilada. Yumtastic. That potato burrito is such an unexpected taste party! Not like "LAStyle" with french fries and whatnot, this sucker has small, thin bits of potato that are crispy and goooeeeed!!! I thought it was just slightly dry, and I also thought that if they combined the filling of the spinach quesadilla with the potato filling and rolled THAT into a burrito, they could change the World!!! Lol. But what do I know? They created it and I liked it! Maybe some enchilada sauce on the side would do the trick, because that sauce was so killer! Loved the trio in this combo. Wow, I can't really say much good. The beans tasted like they came from a can, the chicken was tough and under seasoned. The salsa was decent but nothing special. My chili relano on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. It looked like some sort of soggy tempura batter covering it and there was nothing inside, no trace of cheese at all. The pepper looked like it had been cooked days ago and microwaved. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

Atmosphere- B Service - A Food - A This newly opened restaurant is located near the UHC hospital and White Oaks hotels and businesses. Seating was comfortable with large booths in both areas. The main area also has a small bar area and large windows. We are fortunate to have other good Mexican restaurants in the vicinity- but we count this as the first choice. Welll we tried this place because our favorite place was toooo busy. Our server barely spoke English and didn't know what the Mexican ranch dip they give you with the chips was for? (I didn't either) our fajitas didn't come out sizzling and came out about 5 minutes before our tortillas, beans rice etc. and when that did come out it was like warm - it had obviously sat in the window a while before getting to us. The margaritas were really good! The queso was good too but would have been better if it had been hot- it was warm at best. I doubt we'll come back but it was good to get out and try something new. read more

I came with a group of four. When we walked in the door and the 9 year son of the manager was seating people. It was very chaotic. We decided to go ahead and stay and give it a try. We got seated finally after waiting about 30 minutes. After being seated we were brought our chips and salsa. After it all went down hill. Our server was very rude. He didn't get us drinks until our food was brought out. We didn't have silverware and when we asked for silverware he got angry and came back with plastic silverware and threw it on our table. Every single order was wrong. When we asked for it to be corrected we were told no and they gave us our food back. Finally after the server got a manager they refused to take the food back or take it off our bill. The manager came back and asked what we wanted and the server spoke over her and said I'll just bring a burrito with cheese on it and got nasty. They came back with a plate with a tortilla with just cheese and steak and water all over the plate. I will never be back!!! read more

It's unnecessary to add an "s" to the end of Patron, much like it's improper to add an "s" to Kroger. When we paid our bill, my husband also paid the bill of one of his employees -- a single mother who came in for dinner with her two children -- as a gesture. After seeing her a few times and her not saying anything (which would have been very uncharacteristic), he questioned whether this restaurant actually paid her bill or took his $40. He finally, reluctantly inquired. Sure enough, they gave her her bill, she paid, and they took his money too. We obviously won't be back after this type of dishonesty. read more

Ate here tonight with 3 other people. I would not recommend at all. We waited over 20 minutes before our drink orders were taken. Waited another 20 minutes for our drinks. Waited over and hour and 15 minutes for our food. We all ordered almost the same thing and all of them were made wrong. My friend told the waiter her food was wrong and he said "ok" and then walked away. She hadn't even taken one bite of hers because it was wrong so she asked him to take it back and take it off of her bill and he said no. He called a woman over and she explained the situation to her and asked her to take it off the bill and she said no pick something else. She ordered something very simple and it was also wrong. Service was awful and so was the food. There was like a 10 year old kid seating people and taking payment afterward. We literally waited over 20 minutes at the counter at the front just to pay. I have worked in food so i understand that things happen and things go wrong but I don't have anything positive to say about this experience at all. Would recommend if you're in the mood for great Mexican food and near the area. Only problem is its expensive. This is one of the better Mexican restaurants we have found here...we moved here to WV roughly 2 years ago and just could not find the Mexican food we were used to...We just did. The service was great, the food has life to it which the other Mexican restaurants we have been to do not, one even just has their food in warmers and you get it very quickly. This place the food looked and tasted fresh had good color and was delicious! Not as fast as that other place but within a reasonable amount of time so you know it was freshly made. The food is only slightly better than Taco Bell. The best thing in the house is the chips. The "beef" dishes are made with under-seasoned hamburger. The combo didn't even include the standard beans and rice. The margaritas are over-priced and the Pitcher used is a tiny little thing.
