We were able to grab a booth in the front window to eat at the restaurant. I tried the classic Mad Dog and then tried two specialty dogs, the Don Ho and the Mac Daddy. The classic Mad dog was probably my favorite but the specialties were unique and delicious as well. The dogs have so many toppings piled on them that it gets quite messy but so worth it. My daughter enjoyed her plain corn dog and the side of mac and cheese. We will definitely be coming back.

It was a bit pricey for what it was - it was a 12" pizza, and each topping an additional $3. $21 just seems high to me for a thin crust pepperoni mushroom pizza. I had draft beer and my cousin had a mixed drink. She had no complaints about hers, and mine was quite good! So many places draft beer tastes a little soapy, whether it's the way the clean their lines or how they wash their glasses, but I didn't taste any of that here. There aren't many choices on draft but was a good variety. They also have a full bar and lots of canned beverage choices. They don't have the healthiest menu, but that's not surprising since they're known for Chicago hot dogs, Italian beef, and pizza. If you know what you're going for it's perfect! The vibe is good. The space is pretty open, gets a decent amount of light, is clean, and there is parking! The restrooms are tiny, but clean, and I appreciate that after you wash your hands the door opens out so you don't have to touch a handle. We went on a Monday after work, which does turn into karaoke night, but we had time for a couple drinks and food before that really got going. It also wasn't crazy in there and we could still carry on a conversation at the bar without having to yell. I'm glad I finally made it in, and fully appreciate having them in the North Monroe area. Dam Dogs is in a great spot with access from dam side or on Squires. There are benches on the dam side and a table on the street side. Since we wanted to people watch and look at the lights, we sat on the benches near the door that faced the dam. They have a decent selection of hot dogs as well as a few other items, corn dogs especially! Our kids loved them. Our order was packaged well for us to eat outside with everything we needed. Food was hot and fresh and came out in a quick turnaround. We would come in again!

It took her a minute to stop what she was doing, and when she finally got around to taking my order she acted like I was a big inconvenience. Plus, her boobs were hanging out the whole time--very unprofessional! And when she finally handed me my food she curtly said "here you go" and was back at her computer before I even walked outside. Sometimes when I stop in somewhere late at night the people act like they are mad you come in but not here. My server was named Melissa and she was very friendly and very helpful.
