Wife and I loved what we got. She said this was her favorite queso. Only complaint for me would be that the steak taco had two big pieces of gristle that I couldn't chew. It had to have been half the taco meat. The server was super friendly. I thought this place looked small from the outside but it opens up once inside the front door. I am not sure if its just me or if everyone feels this way but tonight will be our last night here. The service and food were terrible. The server was okay, she would come by every now and then and did not ask about refilling our drinks at all. She was not hospitable. Our food came out late, I would say we waited for at least 20 minutes almost 30 minutes and it was just us and another family so I dont know what happened there. The tortillas were stale. Then when we were ready to leave and get the check everyone disappeared to the back. It was about 8:20pm so they were going to close in about 40 minutes so my husband went to go look for our server and you could see her and the other server and two cooks in the back making drinks. Overall it was a horrible experience and it felt like our presence was a bother. read more

We love to eat at Don Taco. Their street tacos are so good and the corn tortillas are home made. The grilled bacon wrapped shrimp is also excellent as well as the cheese dip with chorizo. The prices cannot be beat! I'd you love a salsa bar, they have that as well. read more

I've been to this establishment many times but the last 3 times I've ordered to pick up through drive thru, I've had bad service and this last time was the last straw. The food is great but their customer service is horrible. I ordered and picked up through the drive thru and when I asked for sides that they offer inside for free, they said that I had to pay extra for those items. I asked for extra hot sauce because I had 3 items and only one hot sauce for all of them and they said that that would be extra. I know about prices going up but why charge for free items that you offer inside! Why have a drive thru if you don't want to service people? I was going almost every Friday to get food there but I guess they don't mind losing a customer. Also, yes, I always tip for drive thru orders, so I know that wasn't the case. read more

Service is good !salsa is good and they have habanero salsa at the salsa bar so you can just add a little, to spice up the house salsa! Sopes are good ,tacos are good the guacamole is good ! Also they have Spanish version of credence clear water revival playing !! (Awesome) read more

In Alabama good mexican food is hard to find, this place proves at least someone knows how to prepare good authentic mexican food. Anything on the menu is a good choice. The salsa bar allows you to add that true mexican flavor to your dish. For the most part service is very good, sometimes someone new works and they stumble a bit but other servers help out. read more
