I should have posted this years ago! I tore my Patella Tendon in my right knee and Dr. Striplin was the Orthopaedic Surgeon on call that weekend. My knee was so badly repaired that I had to have the surgery again 5 months later by a more qualified surgeon. Nine years later it looks like a total knee replacement is my next option, because I can hardly walk now. read more

My first experience with Dr. Striplin was a joy. He is straight and to the point. Totally has your best interest at heart and wants to avoid surgery when it may not be necessary. I really like that. Dr. Striplin was great. I had my left knee worked on... torn miniscus and mircrofracture. Took about a year to recover 100%, old person here. Office staff is very blunt and not service oriented. Come in and expect brisk and cold service and you will be fine... no coddling here. read more

Checked in at 3:45 for my 4pm appt. the receptionist was very nice, with a sunny disposition. At 4:15, my name is as called by an assistant & I was taken to an exam room. Once there, was told the Dr. would've right with me. The assistant was, as the receptionist was, very nice & warm. Ok, so far alls ok. So there I am sitting in the exam room, expecting the Dr. to walk in any moment, but instead at 4:52, just as I was going to find someone to assist, the Dr. with hand out, going to open the door. He apologized for keeping me waiting. Btw, lesson to most, a well placed & heartfelt apology goes a long way. After this, we got down to why I was there & that being the most important part, found him most professional, explaining everything & listened to what I had to say. All I can say is, we were headed towards a 2 Star, maybe? Yet, after looking back on all that transpired, I have to say a 4 out of 5 Star. I had surgery on Wednesday the 25th of September 2019. Dr. Striplin is a wonderful doctor! I was so nerves because the shoulder surgery was on my dominant arm. He is so understanding and just an all around wonderful doctor!!! Once the surgery was done. He talked to my husband and let him know everything went well gave us pictures and to my surprise my shoulder and my range of motion was amazing. The pain was your regular after surgery pain but not the same pain I was living with. I wasn't expecting to move my arm for weeks but a day after my shoulder was mobile!!! amazed just amazed!! I have had 3 surgeries from Dr. Striplin, and have seen him countless times. When you are an athlete and/or your body is integral to your work you become hypersensitive about who you trust with your health. He has my confidence 100% Highly recommended. Dr. Striplin is a great doctor but his staff is not. My surgery got cancelled the 2 days before only because we are waiting for the authorization from the insurance. They had my InsurNce for a long time and didn't even bOther to get an authorization first before they scheduled my surgery. The worst thing also is that Patti told me to come the next day for pre-OP. I got in the office and they told m that they can't do the pre OP because we don't have the schedule for surgery which I totally understand but your staff told me to come anyway. I called them and told that I'm done with you guys. They can't even process a simple paperwork. Time to look for a other doctor. read more

If you are looking for a surgeon who makes you wait over an hour in an overcrowded waiting room, and another 10-20 minutes in the exam room to spend all of maybe 2-5 minutes with you, then here's your guy! So rude! I get that he's busy, but so are your patients who pay for your services! I was told he was an excellent surgeon, but the way his office is run, and his disregard to his patients time, is appalling! I will be looking for a new surgeon read more

You have an owie and you want it fixed. This man will fix you, rebuild you, and send you on your merry little way. People complained about his sarcasm or personality... whatever. I personally thought he was cool, but it seems nowadays people need to be coddled. I ruptured my pectoral tendon that's attached to the shoulder bone. It's been about two and a half to three years and I'm now incline pressing over 80 lb dumbbells with that shoulder. This doctor knows what the heck he is doing and deserves a better rating. read more

Dr.Striplin performed my ACL reconstruction surgery. In first meeting me before the surgery, he took the time to ask me questions to determine if surgery was the correct decision for my lifestyle, and after agreeing that it was, he took the time to explain the surgery and really came across as genuinely caring about my experience and my road to rehabilitation. He even took the time to share his personal story of going through the same experience (twice). I could not say enough good things about Dr.Striplin. Finding out you have a knee injury is the scariest thing for an athlete, and this doctor allowed me to go from broken not able to run, all the way back to being on the soccer field in record time (4 months to the day!). read more

I tore my ACL and Miniscus skiing in Feb. They were able to get me into surgery the following week. Dr Stripland is great to work with, very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to educate me on exactly what happened to my knee, how he would fix it, and what I would need to do afterwards to get me back to 100%. almost 6 months after the surgery and I am about 80%-85%. The expectations were 8 months to a year so I am very happy with progress and his continued follow up and advice on this. I recommend him to anyone who injures themselves and wants the best chance of getting back to 100% possible. Dr Stripland tells it as it is and is no BS. Follow his advice closely and you will be back to physical activity in no time! read more

I am so disappointed with Dr. Striplin! I would seriously look elsewhere for a different Ortho Dr. Not only does he not give u much opportunity to discuss your concerns but will walk out during your visit with him and he is very sarcastic. I should have had physical therapy after surgery but he told me that l would not need to. I have suffered with so much pain since surgery and had to get another Dr. I am now doing physical therapy and am on disability too. Don't make the mistake that l did by using Striplin! read more

Dr. Striplin did my wife's total hip replacement this past Friday April 6, 2018. He spoke to use so we would know what to except and took his time answering any questions. After the operation he saw my wife twice that day and the day after. He also has one of his associate stop in to check on her. If she ever needs to have her other hip done he would be the doctor again. read more

Dr Striplin has done 2 biceps tendon reattachment surgeries for me and made me good as new. He is the only person I trust with my, as well as my family's, bodies. I would not go to anyone else and encourage anyone, especially athletes to see him! read more

I had surgery on my knee and now it is SIGNIFICANTLY worse. When I explained to him that I was very unhappy with the outcome he just shrugged and said "oh well." He had no explanation of what may have happened and pretty much rushed me out of the office. read more

I had arthroscopic knee surgery 2 weeks ago. Because I had polio as a child, I have had MANY orthopedic surgeries. My experience with Dr. Striplin was amazing. I did not even have to take any pain medication after surgery--even though it was available. The day before surgery, Dr. Striplin met with me at his office to make sure all my questions were answered and that I knew what to expect. I saw him a week after surgery where he showed me pictures of what he had done to correct my meniscus tear, asked if I had any questions, and scheduled another appointment in a month to make sure everything continued to go well and to answer any further questions I might have. My daughter, who has her own practice as a nurse practitioner in another state could not believe that the Dr. had taken time to see me the day before my surgery.
