The optimal window for this surgery is within 3 weeks of the injury, but because of the MRI delay, Dr. Nuccion wasn't able to do the surgery until 6 weeks after. 5 1/2 months later, I am still not fully recovered, but I am well on my way doing light pushups and resuming tennis. I don't know what full recovery looks like a couple of months from now in terms of my strength and athletic capacity compared to before, but it's 100% guaranteed to be far better than the massive limitations I would've had to live with for the rest of my life had Dr Nuccion not been able to pull off the surgery despite the delay. After 2 days unable to reach anyone my wife chose to walk in to get an appointment. She was told that Dr. G. could see her in a little more than an hour. He didn't. Only with a little cage rattling was she seen 11/4 hours later. We were told that the MD was way behind. So, that day, over a little more than an hour he got behind by 1 1/4 hours. Staff gave excuses right out of a paint by numbers PR book. They eventually revealed that the patients were Guinea pigs. Rather planning a seamless transition BCOS went for pin the tail on the donkey as a strategy. If you have unlimited time and unlimited patience, they're OK.

They even have an underwater treadmill in the pool and underwater video cameras, so that I can see what I am doing in real time and improve my technique. The whole team works together very well and my physical therapist, Emily, is excellent. The therapy aids are also great. The front office staff has been responsive as well and made scheduling and changing the visits seamless (I always did this in person rather than via phone). I also saw Dr Huber who did a great job. He was able to quickly get to the root cause of my issues and come up with a good plan. He answered my questions and helped me come up with the least invasive plan possible to address my issues. People complain about waiting in the other reviews and the short visits. These people need to keep in mind that the reason people are waiting is because these doctors are trying to help get patients in when they urgently need to be seen, even when space is not available. They are putting people in appointment slots that may not exist and if that person complaining was to have an urgent issue, they would be happy to be seen. They only have so many hours in the day they can work and if they didn't squeeze people in, then patients will suffer. Don't forget that there is more work that happens after you leave the room. Trust me, they don't want to stay late at the end of the day any more than you don't want to wait. Overall, I have had a great experience here and would recommend anyone come here if they have an issue that needs orthopedic eval, especially if therapy will be needed afterwards. You can only see these therapists after being seen by the doctors here.

Initially, he told me he would remove the screws/hardware. Later, he changed his opinion and essentially told me I should just live with my arm the way it was. After continuing to struggle with the limitation, I went back for a third appointment. At that visit, he finally agreed to proceed with hardware removal and a capsular release, but the entire interaction made me feel as though he was reluctantly doing me a favor rather than helping a patient who had been dealing with this problem for months. I also felt rushed, interrupted, and unable to fully explain my concerns or ask questions. His attitude toward me felt dismissive and condescending, and I left the appointments feeling that I had not been given the same patience or respect I would expect from a physician. I completely understand that no doctor can guarantee the outcome of a surgery, and I never expected a guarantee. What bothered me was the inconsistency, the dismissive attitude toward my concerns, and the lack of follow-through. I was told that authorization for the surgery had been submitted, but after that I never received any follow-up from the office. After multiple appointments and months of trying to find a solution for my elbow, I expected much better communication, consistency, and compassion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I would not recommend this doctor.
