So very disappointing to walk into the funeral home expecting to see a beautiful bouquet of ALL ROSES - see picture attached. What was sent was not all roses. We even paid the premium price so that the best version was sent. See pictures attached of what was sent, the bow takes up a 3rd of arrangement. I was in a pinch for a last minute gift for my niece. Being a "guy" we don't plan things in advance lol. She has a ton of toys so I decided to give her something she's never had before. This place is a decent florist shop, but not too many options. I believe the location and the low foot traffic is to blame for this. Nonetheless, they were helpful and courteous when I walked in looking to make something up for my her birthday. Her eyes lit up and she liked the flowers and teddy bear. FYI: Google maps did not work in finding this location. I switched to Apple maps and it took me there with no issues. read more

The shop is throwback to what small respectable businesses used to be and they still are. They did a spectacular job matching a photo of an arrangement I saw online. It's the equivalent of going to a salon and asking for a specific style or color and the stylist hitting it right on the nose. Two stars because they are very friendly. I will never bring business here again. I will never purchase anything from here either. This place is EXTREMELY over priced , and outdated. The flowers are not fresh at all. I have so many issues with this place I don't even know where to start. I didn't want to say anything because my boyfriend purchased the flowers and I did not want him to feel bad. But the quality is unacceptable. $100 plus tax and the flowers don't last a few hours. The arrangement was beautiful until I noticed they gave less than 12 flowers and the rest was a bunch of stems and leaves. I was so pissed off that we wasted money. We could have went to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods Market or even went online to any other floral shop and got our flowers. I understand that this is a mom and pop shop and I love to shop small business. But this is not what I expected at all. read more

I received the most beautiful arrangement of roses from my husband. I was in a rehabilitation center for a broken leg and the flowers made my day. They were exquisite. They actually looked fake. People walking by would stop and compliment me on the flowers. Each individual flower looked like they were just picked. There was baby breath throughout the arrangement and a big bow wrapped around the vase. I would definitely recommend Donato's for your floral needs. They get 5 stars+ from me. read more

The worst experience ever had the owners. They are very rude. The prices are triple from the other places. Not recommend it.

My boyfriend bought me flowers for my birthday on Saturday. They were gorgeous and he's always a perfectionist when it comes to the flowers. On Sunday I noticed they started loosing color & drying. I was concerned because I just received them yesterday. Monday I woke up and they were "dying." Flowers from Acme don't even die this quick. I felt so bad telling my boyfriend and he called Donato on Tuesday. You would think for someone who's a loyal customer and giving the town business you would hear some sympathy or concern but no. They expressed no concern instead asked if the steams were cut and if the food was in the water. And said to add lemon or orange juice to revive the flowers. There's no reviving for these trust me. I got to see NOTHING bloom. Horrible for someone who purchases flowers here consistently. read more

I'm so disappointed in this florist. I chose a simple arrangement of red roses for my in-law's 60th Anniversary. The arrangement I chose showed red roses with elegant greenery only. What was delivered was an arrangement stuffed with Babies Breath. It looked like an arrangement from 1986, when that cheap filler was all the rage! No one with any taste uses that garbage filler anymore. This wasn't at all what I wanted & I was embarrassed by the arrangement. I understand that flowers sometimes have to be substituted, but there was no reason to add Babies Breath. I seriously doubt they were out of greenery. I expected more. When I called, she wasn't concerned in the least, not rude but no apology. She asked if I told them to leave that out; it wasn't in the picture and I thought they were a quality florist; apparently I was mistaken. Grateful for the kindness and beautiful arrangement for a dear Aunt's funeral last week. My emotional phone call to Donato's was met with "we will do our best to create an arrangement as vibrant as your Aunt, for your Aunt." And they did! I asked them to use seasonal flowers rather than match a picture online. The wreath was beautiful Fall colors, full of orange roses and vibrant pink accents. We were more than pleased and I will always be grateful for the understanding and kindness during a sad phone call. read more

Trying to place an order for a wedding - Was greeted as if it was a bother to help us, after standing 30 minutes to try to put order together - we were not offer a chair, shown a picture of their work , a picture of what they can do, or a flower of what they would use. Went back the second time thinking maybe employee was having a bad day. lol Was greeted the same. Your wedding is the most special day and that's how people your paying should treat it !! Don't go here if your looking for an good experience in planning your special day - they wont help you !! After speaking to owner he didn't even offer any help. What do you expect from a flower shop with a treadmill in the middle of it. Get rid of the treadmill - put a table and chairs and photo books take care of customers and you might do more business. read more

The first 2 florists I called didn't answer their phones, instead transferring me a 1-800 # or requesting that I order from their website. I wanted to talk to a person. On a whim I called Donato Florist in Roselle Park. My uncle's wake was in Linden. David was super professional and friendly. Having already looked at the website, I wanted to order the "Sacred Duty Spray" as my uncle took great pride in being a veteran. Three price choices are offered. Being hesitate about ordering the lowest choice, I asked if the delivery would look like the picture. "Better" was David answer. If I had the opportunity in the funeral home I would have taken a picture to show you. The arrangement looked like the higher priced website picture. David told me he has been in the flower business for over 45 years. We also had a short conversation about things other than flowers. I had a great experience here. I needed flowers for a last minute event and was on a very tight budget. The owner was very nice and helped guide me. He even had extra flowers from a wedding and added it to my arrangement. That doesn't happen now a days so therefore I was very impressed. This will be my go to place from now on. read more
