So disappointed in the follow-up for my landscape projects. The nursery stock, when delivered, was beautiful. The paver patio was installed perfectly, but the follow-up stunk! I had materials replaced in my front and rear yards. In the back they installed 3 tall yews. After a few days 2 of the 3 started leaning. I notified my project manager and salesperson and they asked me to send photos. Also a small plant in the back started coming out of the ground which made me inspect and realize the holes really weren't prepared correctly. Just dug to accomodate the new plant and filled around the sides. That's not how I was told to do it properly years ago. A river rock area in the back was also not contained to the area it was designed to cover and the rock had slid into the yard and adjacent mulch. I notified them on April 12 and finally someone came April 30th. By then there were dead limbs on the yews that they staked. They did not replant the other small plant. And as to the rock issues, "There is nothing on the drawing about any kind of edge getting put in. Even a shovel edge. It is laid according to the drawing you signed." REALLY??? I depended on them to adequetly design the project and paid well for it. On May 1 I send a letter to Adam the owner and no response. Fantastic! Amazing! We just had these guys put in a large retaining wall project in our back yard. Very professional organization. The crew was amazing not only with the craftsmanship and quality, but they were super nice and did an amazing job cleaning up every day and after completion. I can't say enough nice words. We could not be more excited to leave positive feedback for Done Right Landscapes. Adam Callison and his team are top shelf in both attitude and performance. In a day and age when everyone rushes to leave a bad review, I wanted to leave my honest feedback. Especially considering how rarely I leave reviews. Nonetheless, due to their outstanding service I am compelled to spend a little bit of time saying thank you and recommending them without hesitation. 1st Contact: When we called Done Right in late December to discuss doing this project they came out quickly to look at the backyard and listen to what we were attempting to have accomplished. We also called two other companies. One never called back and the other quoted this project much higher. Yes, WAY higher for the same scope of work. In other words, APPLES TO APPLES. Proposal: The quoted proposal was for exactly what we asked. In addition, Adam put up with our many phone calls, questions and switching ideas a few times only to end up back where we started. He was great at listening, suggesting and reminding us of budget, etc. Pre-Work (Preparation): To no one's fault weather was awful and did set back the initial startup date back, but Done Right did a great job communicating the delay and keeping us updated. Prior to our startup, we did require approval from our HOA and Done Right Assisted us in getting them what they needed. In addition, during our obtaining required city permits, it was discovered part of our retaining wall project was going to be partially in the utility easement. Not wanting to lose yard space, the Done Right Landscapes team helped navigate a written rental contract from the city for $20 to have the right to put the structure in the easement. This is a big deal for resell, etc. This was all notarized and coordinated by both parties thanks to the Done Right team. The Work: It was a daily joy to watch the Done Right Landscapes team take over our backyard and cul-de-sac. We had concerns about upsetting the neighbors with the mess, dirt, etc. Their team cleaned up the street daily and kept the mess manageable. We received many compliments from our neighbors about how professional the crew appeared and how much they cleaned up. All our neighbors were quite impressed and pleased with our choice in Done Right Landscapes. There were so many days where it rained and I was sure there was no way they would be working. NOPE! They were right out there plugging away in the elements. It was truly impressive. Our crew was led by Jerry Ruiz (The Interpreter and Bad Ass). Jerry greeted us daily, kept us updated, and led the crew. Any time we had a concern or a change, he and his crew never gave long looks or ever had any sign of a temper. Instead, the always said no problem and made the entire process an absolute joy. I have joked with Adam Callison that if I ever started a landscape company (which I never would) I would steal Jerry. HE WAS THAT IMPRESSIVE AND GREAT. At times when the project felt like it was falling behind due to weather, etc. The team would show up with all hands-on deck and get back on schedule. One day we had 2 bobcats and a Mini X all slaying away on our project. In total over 40 truckloads of topsoil were removed from our backyard, 8 tree stumps, and somehow it all came together and the results have the neighbors in awe. Upgrades: We did have a few upgrades mid project like, adding hardscape lighting to the wall (best decision ever), irrigation system upgrade (don't want to water all those new plants), and changes to the actual landscape design and landscaping plants and/or rocks. All of this seamlessly took place quickly without crazy headaches or unneeded tension. Final Thoughts: My wife and I cannot recommend Done Right Landscapes enough. We are missing not having their team around working (but we won't miss the extra expense, ha.) We cannot wait to use them to landscape our front yard and all future projects and year to year maintenance. So many people say landscaping is a waste of money or you never get it all back. We argue they are crazy. We get to enjoy a yard like no others, we can feel the love put into it and it becomes a sanctuary that is the envy of everyone in the subdivision. If it ever came time to sell our house it would no doubt bring a little more and sell much faster. Done Right Landscapes took curb appeal to our backyard! read more

I was having problem with water run off making a "river" in the back yard. Done Right came and graded the area and laid sod. it looks great. The entire team is so easy to work with, probably because they actually like their customers! Let me start by saying I LIVE in Chicago and had them do a job for me in Chesterfield MO...do you know how hard that is?...but they made it seem so easy. So let me tell you how amazing these people are, Tyler, whom I probably called no less than twice a day, always answered my calls in a timely manner. Told me it was no problem to install the steps I wanted within the time frame I wanted AND he sent photos!...because remember, I don't live in town. Can you find nicer people? I called several places, Big Name places, before choosing "Done Right Landscaping," no one would help me. Always remember people, Bigger isn't better. I didn't need a lot of work done to refresh our landscaping. Adam came out and I asked him to do what he could for about $3000. He told me they were the most expensive of the companies in St. Charles, but that he would give us an estimate. He said he would take some measurements and get a bid to me that afternoon. He did not take the measurements. As soon I went inside, he left. I never heard another word from him. So, I guess they don't really want small jobs. I did, however, think it was extremely unprofessional to tell me he would give me a bid and then just turned around and left. I even wrote an email to the company and I heard NOTHING from them either. read more

Done Right Landscapes is "top notch" in dealing with both drainage and landscaping. I've had significant water drainage issues in my backyard pool area for years and I've tried small things to correct it to no avail. Adam came out and gave an honest opinion as to what it was going to take to fix the issue once and for all. He also gave options for smaller jobs that would improve, but not correct the issue. Adam prepared a comprehensive and timely quote and the quote is the final number. Unlike with other landscapers I have used in the past, with Done Right Landscapes you don't have to worry about "nickel and dime" changes on the job. I can't say enough great things about the Done Right Landscaping crew that actually did the work, they were simply fantastic! The crew was meticulous on all aspects of the job, taking their time to get everything just right and address any questions I had along they way. Done Right was fantastic to work with. From the beginning, Adam was professional and patient with us as he took our vision and made it a reality. He provided suggestions that we never thought of and loved! They started right on time with the project which was helpful with planning for the project. Antonio's crew that worked on the project was so nice, professional, and hardworking. They worked the entire time they were at the house. They took the time to explain what they were doing and answered any questions along the way. They would clean up every night and made it look very nice before they would leave. From the front of the house, you would have not known we were having landscaping work done in the backyard. Christian was extremely helpful through the process as well. He would come by multiple times during the week to make sure we were happy and that the project was going as planned. They completed the project in the time frame they said they would. Waited a week to get someone to come out, then they didn't even show during scheduled time - despite the fact that we called two days prior to confirm. No call, no nothing.
