If you are looking for any kind of home repair and if quality and service are your priority, look no further. They have done work for me numerous times over the years and I have never been anything but completely satisfied. Recently, after an exceptionally stormy winter season, there was multiple sites of damage on my roof (we are on the water and get beat up quite a bit). Seeing the futility of constant repairs I swallowed my financial fears of a new roof and decided to just go with it. I was shocked that it was about half of what I thought I would need to pay. Not only was there no sacrifice in the quality of the materials, but they were superior to what I had been looking into. I was given a 50 year guarantee which I am confident that Done Right will be there to honor if necessary. The crew was there within 2 days after I got the estimate, and right at the start of the morning. The job was completed by 2 PM on the second day. It was a hard job for them as my home is about 30 feet tall and very scary to be up on. (The wind was blowing pretty strongly). They completely removed the old roof and underlayment and installed materials with modern technology that will wear much better than the ones they built the house with (20 years ago). They left the surrounding area cleaner than when they got there. You may find someone offering a cheaper price, but it is highly unlikely that the job will use the same quality materials and good workmanship that i experienced. Should be called done wrong roofing. I had them come out 4 years ago to fix a leak and replace some cedar shingles. The cedar shingles curved and bent and look horrible. I had them back to quote a new roof and they said there was a 10 year warranty on labor. So I asked if they would fix the cedar shingles and they said no. So no warranty, its supposed to look bad. I have read the other reviews and I think they are talking about another company honestly. I bought my house 4 years ago and it had a leaky flat roof in the back. Done Right roofing was the 1st and only company I had to call. The estimate was a little high at the time because I was making all sorts of repairs. They arrived on time the day of the repair. They were very organized, professional and courteous. I will submit some photos tomorrow of the completed work. I had a great experience with Done Right recently. I had a new roof, windows and siding done and my garage roof was literally falling down, so they fixed the structure on that. Professional, knowledgeable, took pride in their work, thought of things I wouldn't have, and they even helped me fix a closet door that wasn't part of the job and helped my elderly neighbor with something to do with her window and wouldn't take her money. Just a great group both out in the field and those in the office. My neighbors all commented about how clean and professional they were. Done Right Roofing has not completely done right by me. They replace my old roof with a new roof, but did not put flashing on the sides where the gutters are. Unfortunately, due to a snow recent snow storm, my gutters were filled with snow that turned to ice. When the ice began to melt, the water travel towards the least resistance, under the roof, by the fascia board. This turned into Niagara Falls inside my home, in turn destroying my basement walls and ceiling. I contacted them to correct the problem. The came without calling. Fortunately, I was home. They removed the gutter, where the damage was and placed flashing where the fascia board meets the roof. However, the fascia board was damage from the melting ice. They refused to repair the fascia board. Now a section of the fascia board has a gaping hole. Water, insects and other creatures can get into that hole. Done Right Roofing does not stand behind their work. And they will leave you with more problems, than what you started with. Before considering them, please for you own piece of mind, do the homework. Interview other roofing companies. read more

Do not use this company. $435 to clean gutters and hammer nails back into place. Customer service does not call back, person who I spoke to said that I don't understand how much roof insurance costs. So I'm paying their roof insurance. Tech left crap from the gutters on the lawn and all over my car. I brought up BBB and they said we will give you money off charge. After hurricane sandy my fireplace chimney was damaged from a tree. Done right came to give me an estimate and said only the top few feet were damaged of the fireplace pipe. I hired them to do the work. A few months later my house went on fire due to their negligence. Unknown to me, but should have been discovered by them, the whole inside of the chimney and fireplace was crushed. Luckily, my dog and I got out safe and my daughters were not home. Their insurance company is still refusing to pay for the damages with hard proof of their negligence. In addition, they kept my money from the original repair. Oh and FYI the owner said "oh well that's what I have insurance for". Do not use this company. You could be taking yours and your families life in your hands. read more

Done Right is a very reliable and honest company. We needed a new roof and from the first phone call everything went smoothly. Lumi, the main overseer of the job came right on time, measured the roof, and wrote up a very reasonable estimate compared to others we had received. After Lumi explained all the work that would be covered in the contract, we signed it and paid a portion of the bill. The day of the work, a good sized crew arrived right on time and began tearing down the old roof and putting on the new roof. The crew was here all day with Lumi, and they finished the job just before dark. This was amazing because we do not have a simple roof. The next morning we were able to see our beautiful new roof. Ripoff!!!! I called them for a chimney cleaning and they said that the starting cost is $24.95. They will charge more depending on the condition. I have a gas heater and boiler and chimney was already in a good condition. When the guy came, he quoted $100 and he had no answer when I asked why he is charging more. This is like tricking people. I don't mind paying more as long as there is work needed. They didn't even spend 10 minutes in cleaning and they were gone. Not the company I recommend for sure! read more

I called this company for estimate for a skylight with broken glass. The technician first tell me the glass cannot be replaced and quoted me a four figure price to replace the entire skylight. Then I complained that's too expensive. He proceeds to ask me what if he just replaced the glass for half the price. I asked him, you just told me you cannot just replace the glass. He didn't have a response. I got another company to just replace the glass for three figure price. This company estimate is really way off with skylight. read more

Wow... I'm really surprised at the two negative reviews... I buy, fix, sell houses for a living. I just hired them to do a roof in Brookhaven and they did a really good job, The estimate was low so I was skeptical of the quality but I watched every step and was really impressed with the craftsmanship... there are a lot of ways roofers can cut corners to increase their profit but these guys really didn't ... Everything was done the correct way. I think it's a family business? I'm really glad to have discovered these guys, will use them on every Long Island project I have. Horrible customer service. They call me on the day of the scheduled service to cancel after I traveled 2 hours. I reiterate to them that I traveled far and they then decide to keep my appointment. They call me back again to say that the employee will arrive at 3:45pm. My original appointment was between the range of 1pm to 4pm. Why do I have to waste the whole day waiting on them just to clean gutters? Then when I say, you guys need to hire more people, the female working for the company begins to defend their actions. How is this company still in business? Now I recall why I hadn't called this company to perform any gutter cleaning service for a while. We had issues with a leaking roof in our small Montauk cottage after a few bad storms. We tried patching it ourselves but it still leaked. Joe at Done Right came out and gave us a fair quote and was actually able to do the job later that day with his crew. They were nice and professional and left the area very clean. So where do I begin? First off, after I received the quote, that was twice all the others I received, they show up the next day to do the job without telling me(I told them I would get back to them). I was not home, and received a call from my neighbor informing me there was a man on my roof doing repairs. I finally get in touch with the guy, and he tells me the job is almost finished. He "cannot stop or use the materials I requested". At that time he tells me I need to pay an additional $600 for some sealant that he could not explain what it was, but was required for him to "ensure" the leak would come back. 3 months later, the leak is back. I call and ask them to come out to repair. I also ask them not to send the same guy who did the first repair. Well...the same guy shows up and wants another $600 to fix it again. Few months go by and the leak is back, and worse than ever. I call again and ask them to send someone else out to repair. They cancel two weeks in a row, then don't respond to my calls for the third week. Very disappointed in this company and the work they do. read more

I used this company back in 2012 for a leak I was having. They suggested I do a ripoff and redo of a large section of the back of my house. Many thousands of dollars later, the roof still leaked and in fact, had two new leaks. They came and repaired the three leaks but the original leak still persisted. The owner Kismet came down and after careful inspection, found that the leak wasn't my roof but instead the J-channel of my siding. He caulked it with silicone and the original leak stopped. Sadly, I spend thousands for a roof that I didn't need. Now, on to my mother in law, an elderly widow on a budget. She also used this company around the same time as me and they told her the same thing...can't repair leak but instead suggested a ripoff and redo of the back of her house. After her job (circa $6000) she still to this day has several leaks. She's called them back multiple times and they've patched and sealed but the leaks persist. I had called done right to clean my mom's gutters. They came on time. I told them I just wanted my mom's gutters cleaned and they said $185.00. I told them that was a rip off and the guy said that's our price. I turned them away and did the gutters myself in 40 minutes including bagging the debris. First I'd like to say that this company is probably as honest as they come. Their office staff is polite and very helpful. I contacted them to do my roof which included a dormer off the back. I dealt primarily with Kizmet who is the owner. Also very polite and courteous. The price was fair. The work was good. They damaged my siding which they came back and took care of immediately. The dormer off the back required roll roofing instead of shingles because of the low pitch. My advice to potential customers who might need roll roofing is to ask to see pictures of what your getting. In my case they used a torch down product. While it might be a great waterproofing product it is hideous to look at. If I had known that it would've looked like that I would of went with another product. In the end I had to spend 600 dollars to cover it up with a more visually pleasing product myself. Also in the middle of the installation I got a call from the owner that he needed more money to do the flashing around the chimney. Which I had no choice but to agree to pay. I don't mind paying a fair price to have work done but dont come into my home and lie to me. I am very disappointed in this company. Alright, I have not had the best luck with contractors on long island. After a leak this winter around my skylights I called in Done Right. Joe came by, seemed very knowledgeable and gave me a price. I had two more roofers come in and give me quotes. Both exceeded Done Rights quote and did not even include as much work as DoneRight was willing to do. I gave them a shot and in addition to fixing my skylights I had them add a cricket to my chimney. Very happy with the work, they did a great job. This alone is not enough for me to write them a yelp review. A few weeks later I woke up to THREE leaks coming from the roof around my house. I called them at about 5am and left a message. I got a call back as soon as they opened and they had Joe come by THAT morning to take a look. Not only did he fix it but before that he went up on the roof with a shovel and cleared all the ice off, chipping away at the 7 inch blocks of ice in my gutters, and fixed it that day. Their customer service was exceptional and I could not be more appreciative of them. I figured the best way to thank them is to write a yelp review and let people know what they can expect. I only wish I knew them before I completely re-did my siding. Instead I went with a large well known contractor (rhymes with Abhor) which did a terrible job and has been nothing but a nightmare. This company we found to be excellent to work with, truly. We had a leaking chimney. We live in Montauk, getting service guys to come out is a pain. This company had no problems with coming over (we saw their van in our neighborhood, and asked them if they could swing over) and going up the chimney and giving us a fair quote. Once we were scheduled by their friendly phone staff, they showed up on time, did the job clean & quickly. No grumbling about traffic and how long it took them... just smiles. The 2 gentleman that did the job couldn't have been more professional. They even took pictures for me so when my husband came home he could see exactly what they did (our chimney is up really high) and took time to make sure that they answered all the questions I had. I didn't feel they rushed the job, nor did I feel they took too long. We no longer have leaks and the chimney wrap looks great! HIGHLY recommend "Done Right"!
