My new home insurance company sent an inspector to look at the house and the company was concerned about some moss on the roof they saw in the inspector's pictures. The company was possibly going to cancel my home insurance. I needed to have the roof cleaned and get a roof inspection report from a licensed roofer and did not have much time to get this done. We hired Jacob and his team twice now. Once for a traditional roofing job, with new gutters and skylights. They did a wonderful job, did it quickly and were extremely fair priced. We asked them to return and fix our garage roof, which had been leaking extensively. In order to get to the roof, they had to remove a large deck, which they did. They outfitted that roof with professional grade EDPM materials and then replaced the deck (and it looked better than it did in the first place). Jacob was kind enough to take preventive measures and add a sophisticate drainage system around the work area as well. Overall, they are quick and provide high quality solutions for shingled and flat roofs, and they provide a robust warrantee as well. read more

I did not ultimately receive a roofing service from JI Roofing, so please bear in mind that my negative review does not reflect the quality of their work, as I have not personally experienced it. My review is based on this company's poor communication strategy- communicating with this company was a logistical nightmare. As a result, I was never able to get the free estimate they tout, hence why I cannot review their actual work, which for all I know may be stellar. I initially sent a message on yelp, to which they responded requesting I reach out to a listed phone number. I reached out to that number and mentioned that I cannot receive calls, just texts, since they insisted on communicating via phone and not yelp/email. No response (THEY wanted me to reach out?? They asked me to reach out to this number??) The following day, I sent a follow-up message. Eventually, I got a call (despite requesting I not be called) requesting that the visit to the location needing a roof repair be planned for April 5, between 11-11:30 AM. This was spoken verbally. Friday rolls around and no one shows up at this time. I sent a message asking if they still planned on coming by, and they offered me a 3 pm time slot, without any regard for the fact that I made time to meet them at 11 AM. I explained that 3 PM would not work, and offered an alternate meeting time. No response for some time, until I get a message stating that the roofer will make plans to arrive on a Saturday. Never showed up on that day either, never called. Absolutely zero idea how this company operates- setting up an appointment with them is like nothing I have ever seen in my life. The weirdest part is, they never showed up during time slots *they suggested*. I didn't offer an 11 AM, April 5 meeting, THEY did. I didn't offer a Saturday morning meeting, THEY did. I find this absolutely bizarre? Wouldn't you know whether or not you are busy? Why would you tell me you will be arriving during a date and time you know you aren't available? Do they just not check their calendars? And then we are left as the customer to take an educated guess on whether or not they plan to show up- they don't actually communicate this. For example, by noon of the initial meeting day, I figured that no one would be showing up because it had been over a half hour since they said they would come over. No one actually called or texted me to cancel- I just had to figure this out independently. The Saturday morning they mentioned they would call and come over, I similarly didn't get a call or text canceling- I just figured out that they wouldn't be arriving independently after they never showed. It seems like other customers have similar experiences, so I don't feel like I am the sole person who has noticed this lack of communication. read more

The owner Jacob is the man, delivered every thing promised. Nice and clean. I found him through Yelp. He showed up the same day for a quote. (I had 5 other quotes.) He followed up to make sure everything was done to high standard. Upon final inspection, he replaced two shingles that had manufactured defects on them. His crew is very punctual. The job was finished on time. He went extra miles to resolve issues. Price was fair. I received warranty info from manufacturer within one week after the roof was completed.
