Though very aesthetically pleasing, I didn't think that was enough to make up for the mediocre offering. Cannoli Donut (5/5) - This was the best of our experience. Cream was light and airy, donut was fluffy as well, flavor combination all together was perfection. Apple Crumb Donut (2/5) - I know cake donuts lean on the drier side but this felt like I was eating cardboard with apple flavor. There was a little pipette of liquid to inject into the donut, but that nowhere near salvaged the donut. Coffee (3/5) - Sadly, I can't even remember the name of the specialty coffee I ordered because that's how average it was. Hard to say more since there really wasn't much to write home about. Cute spot we stopped at on our trip to Jim Thorpe! Although it was just two of us we decided to indulge ourselves in multiple donuts: The Homer, Glaze, Boston Cream and Berry Cheesecake. All delicious! Our favorite by far was The Homer, cant go wrong with a strawberry donut! I also ordered a breakfast burrito to balance the sweetness. I got bacon, egg and cheese, which was great! Only reason I didn't automatically give it 5 stars was because they were out of matcha. The service was very friendly and there was plenty of seating area to enjoy our donuts. They're planning on opening a second shop in Bethlehem so i'm very excited to have these donuts more often! read more

It might be safe to say, the best donuts I've ever had in my life! They are so thick, rich and delicious. They're a bit pricey but completely worth it. Every time I think about them, I want them. The Oreo donut was ridiculous. My wife got the pistachio one, and even that was amazing. The cinnamon sugar was just piled on that one, as you can see. This is such a fun donut shop in Jim Thorpe. They have a wide variety of different kinds of donuts. They also had macaroons. The prices are a little higher than your average donut shop but this isn't your average donut shop. They also offered a 30% discount if you ordered 6 or more. So it actually was reasonable. We tried the apple fritter, lemon blueberry cake, regular glazed, cannoli, fluffernutter, and a berry one. All fresh ingredients and a good tasting donut. Unlike a lot of these places we stopped in, they DID have a restroom we could use. There was a cute patio for outside enjoyment of your treats and it connected to a wine/cider tasting room. We stopped over there and enjoyed a cup of dandelion wine which I was surprised at how nice it was. That was pricey, but the staff was so nice and we were able to take it outside to walk around with so I appreciated that. read more

I was so excited to try this new place in Bethlehem. I came away very dissatisfied and disappointed. For the price I paid for the donuts, I would have thought it was going to be the best donut. I did not even finish my donut. It was bland. I got Boston creme, cannoli, homer, fruity pebbles and something I can't even remember. (What does that say) I have never had a Boston creme so bland. The cannoli donut tasted like butter. My wife liked the fruity pebbles, the cereal, not the actually donut. So, she liked the part they didn't make. I also tried the macarons. Save your money. Something about the filling is wrong. It barely has flavor. The shells are wrong too. They are flat, bland, and just not right. For what I paid for all this, I won't come back. MaryAnn's donut kitchen has the. Eat Boston creme around and for half the price too. Their is dolce patisserie in Hellertown that has much better and cheaper macarons. I really like what they have going on here but OMG too sweet! These donuts are drowning in sugar, and you can barely enjoy the flavors intended. Im really into French (Paul Bakery) and Japanese-style (Hidemi Sugino) pastries, where there is minimal sugar used, and plays with flavors and textures instead of piling sugar on top of sugar. Coffee was old and didn't even taste like coffee. It was mostly sugar and flavoring. Tried it because the reviews seemed to say everything was good. The donuts were not terrible but I think a bit overpriced for a dozen +$30. I can get a dozen for about $15-$20 in Lancaster. read more

We always hit up Donerds when we are in Jim Thorpe, their donuts are amazing! Saturday my husband went into town to get donuts for the house. We were disappointed that they didn't have the Unicorn donuts that my son loves. He was very upset. I saw on their website that there was an option to contact Donerds. So I wrote a message saying that if possible, could they make the Unicorn donuts for Sunday or Monday. The owner emailed me back within 4 hours saying they would! My son was SO happy eating his Unicorn donut this morning. And a bonus - I got some delicious macarons to indulge in. Their food is very good, but their customer service is even better! read more

I was there after lunch and the display case was almost 80% empty. While waiting in (a long) line, I saw someone taking the last chocolate one. Sigh. I guess they were popular. I grabbed a (the last??) creme brulee donut. It had a nice sheen. When I bit into it, it was soft and squishy but not overly sweet. The filling was custard and no overflow happened. My only complaint would be that the space is too tiny and when it rains (like today) there's not enough space inside to just sit and enjoy the goodies. I was in the mood for a good donut on a Saturday morning, knowing there wasn't anywhere in this area, I decided to search donuts with a anticipation of traveling. Well, even though I only live a few minutes from Jim Thorpe, I rarely go there to shop.....parking!! But I had no where to be and really wanted to try these donuts after seeing the pictures. I picked up 6 donuts and an iced coffee. Glad I did. Everything was delicious. The service was friendly , the store was very clean and there was a nice variety of sweets. They also have macarons.....maybe next time. I, myself, have been told that I am a fantastic baker, so I tend to be a little more critical of baked goods. These did not disappoint. The donut had a very good texture and the flavors were perfect. I tried a Caramel Macchiato donut, expecting it to be a tad too sweet. But I was surprised. The filling had a light coffee sweetness to it with pieces of chewy caramel in it. It was the perfect balance. The Cannoli donut was also amazing. The Black Forest also has a perfect texture and just the right amount of sweet as well. I am soooooo happy that there is now a good place to get a "good" donut in the area. First time here and it was amazing. I got the nitro on tap which was very good and refreshing. I also got 6 macaroons. These were the best macaroons I've ever had....and I've had a lot. The inside is very clean and there is even a clean bathroom. Out back is a patio area with tables and chairs. When we went it was just out our back. Very nice workers. This is a Jim Thorpe staple.
