We ordered 1/2 roast duck. There was barely 1/3 of a duck on the plate - they added cooked broccoli to cover the rest of the plate. The duck was a bit over-cooked, a little dry. Owners don't seem to care much. Seem burnt out cause lady was kinda grumpy. Arrived at 8pm for first time eating there. They closed at 9 so we did takeout to be courteous. Ordered a special with 3 different meats for around $15. When we got back to hotel, we discovered they gave us a breaded chicken and broccoli dish. It was ok but not what we wanted. It would have been less money too. The rest of the order was correct and was not bad but not really that good either. I do think they just gave us what they had and said screw it because they could tell we were visitors and would not be back again anyway. Ambiance is not that great. This place was pretty mixed on. First they had no small sizes for menu items other then the soups. So no small beef and broccoli, only large. Plus the prices were high, so another off put. When I went inside was so confused, I mean I thought it was antique store and clock place til I saw the counter with menus, sauces and plastic wear, to which they soup laden for soup but no actual plastic spoons? So I placed my order and honestly the counter person was pretty friendly and though with my order, but afterwards they just seem to chill. So on to the food, the sesame chicken had a lot flavor and was not bland, but was overcooked and very chewy. The sauce was good for chicken. Now seafood portion, definitely could used more shrimp and a large ones at that. Way too much broccoli. The lobster chopped up was pretty fair, felt like more of it was present then the shrimp itself. Both seafood were cooked just right, unlike the chicken, plus the white sauce was good. Also not disappointed on the white rice, it was not fresh and tasted like spent a way then longer stay in the rice cooker then needed. After the West Point tour we decided on the Chinese restaurant across the street. The other restaurants are more for adult tastes. Mickie D's was out as well as pizza. Nothing wrong with them but.... Dong Fong (Oriental Restaurant) is typical Chinese American dining. There are more appetizers and soup selections than the usual Chinese neighborhood restaurants. The dumplings and wonton soup noodles have a thick dough shell. The hot & sour soup had an oddly sweet taste. Rather than the hot, spicy and sour flavor. It wasn't bad but not what we're used to having. The 6 of us, ranging in age from 8 to almost 70 were satisfied. read more

I had a friend that ate here once. All he ate was a single eggroll. He spent the entire next day on the toilet due to food poisoning. Word has it that if you show up at the hospital with food poisoning symptoms, the first thing they'll ask is if you've eaten at Dong Fong. We are looking for Lucky Corner Chinese Restaurant, Google directed us to a residence building. The information is out of date. We have to go to this one. It is about 1:30 PM. This is the First time to try it. We have five people. Foods are served in plastic plates and bowls. Bean Curd, Sichuan Style is served not hot, not warm. When we want to order Sauteed string beans, we were told they don't have string beans. Instead, we have to order two Vegetarian Delight. The hot and sour soup is very hot and I can not take a single bite.The amount of food foreach order is small. This restaurant needs to improve their service! I don't know what the other two reviews are talking about. I've been there several times and the food was actually quite good IMO. The portions were large and the prices pretty reasonable. The aesthetics weren't superb, but the place was clean and the service was friendly. What disappoints me as I write this, is that I can't give this place a triple negative star. What should be expected from a business in a small town, is good food . When you fail to meet this criteria, you not only let yourself down, but the people who supported your establishment as well. Chicken lo mein shouldn't taste like I want to lock it up and throw away the key. My chicken wings shouldn't taste like you cooked them in a microwave, then tied them to the back of your car and dragged them across town. It was like, I was on that tv show and I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come out and say, "You Been Punked". But no, there was no one there to save me. There are really no more words to describe how disgusting their food is. Coming from a person who is passionate about what he eats, you rank triple zero. Quite honestly, this the worst chinese takeout I've ever had. I've ordered from this establishment twice. The first time I ordered, I had the house special soup. Nothing to write home about, but there definitely wasn't any flavor. The main problem I had with this visit was walking into their restaurant. The place had a funny smell, the decorum was atrocious, and the service was not welcoming. The second time I ordered, I asked for a BBQ spare rib combo platter. This was at the end of the night, and I received the dish (to go), in about 5 minutes. It does not take 5 minutes to cook ribs. I'm only going to assume there was a microwave involved. The sauce used for the ribs had a weird tangy taste, and I could not finish it. The rice was nothing special, but the eggroll was unbelievably greasy. I could not get halfway through this dish before just tossing it in the trash. I will not return here, and I definitely would not recommend anyone to either. These guys are either hemorrhaging money, or the clientele keeps coming back because there are no other Chinese places in the area. read more

Hands down the worst "Chinese" food I've ever looked at. I say looked at because it sure as heck didn't taste like it either. Service is below sub-par, the fountain drinks were pure carbonated water, everything during the lunch hour was so old. I have no idea what the pork fried rice was made with. Avoid! If you are a tourist you may see bus loads of Asian tourists going to this Chinese Buffet. It gives the impression that this restaurant is busy and therefore a great place to eat. Do not be fooled. As a West Point employee Dong Fong is on the avoid list. The quality of the food is sub par, greasy and doesn't make you feel very good an hour or two after. It took about 35 minutes but was freezing outside but they delivered in a timely manner. The house wonton soup was great n fresh. The beef n broccoli was great and a lot of food. The Dong was adaquete. Fong, who delivered our food, spoke very quietly, and I couldn't quite make eye contact with him. I noticed a distinct lack of sesame and an excess of broccoli in our Wonton soup. The napkins, which were much needed after guzzling my soup, were disappointingly only one-ply, like some cheap paper kite you buy in Chinatown.
