came by to get dinner before my work shift. small place, but I do like its charm. so i ordered the volcano rolls, spicy scallop hand roll and shu mai soup. my whole order was made very quickly and glad they had everything in bag, when i was unsure if I got chopsticks for the sushi. The volcano roll was yummy, but wish it was spicier, it seemed mild, same goes for the spicy scallop hand roll. otherwise, pretty good, now the shu mai soup, defiantly was different for sure, but the dumplings were very flavorful and loved the chicken broth, got to say, i think I like shu mai in soup now rather than without it. staff was friendly and quick to point with my order. read more

We had visited this restaurant twice, and on both occasions, we noticed that the sushi chef did not wash his hands after using the bathroom. During our first visit a few months ago, the food was decent with a rating of 3 out of 5, but we had concerns about the hygiene of the establishment, including dirty tables, floors, and cups, and unpleasant service. Last week, we decided to give the place another chance and were shocked by what we experienced. After 10 minutes of waiting for someone to come from the back, a lady appeared and asked for our drink order. It was at this point that the chef entered the bathroom, used it, opened the door, flushed the toilet, and left without washing his hands. Although the walls were thin, we did not hear the sound of running water, and were left quite surprised by his behavior. (And yes! He started making a call-in order after that) We left after that! read more

Just was here trying to pick up a part of a missing order - even had my GF call ahead to let them know and instead of making it right, they argued they already packed it and tried to say to bring it back after I already drove all the way back to pick it up? I definitely was not a Karen so I just left... My husband and I have been going to eat there for at least 4 plus years. Service was great and so was the food. Food continues to taste good . The Service not so much anymore. It seems like they don't care for customer. Keep an eye on your itemized receipt for extra hidden taxes charges if you don't pay cash. Normally the food is very good but buyer beware- they make mistakes when putting things in the bag and then when you ask for a correction, they want to charge. For example- we ordered some sushi and a shrimp tempura appetizer. They made shrimp tempura sushi. When it wasn't in the bag we went back to get the shrimp and they wanted to charge us even though we had to go all the way back! And we are talking $6 here. The guy also tried to tell me I should have brought the sushi back.. but we didn't realize what had happened, we just thought they forgot to put it in the bag (because they often do forget to put items in the bag). Overall, will never eat there again because we spend a lot of money there (they are our local place) but wouldn't honor it. Happened one too many times. My daughter and I popped in for some Chinese. We took a table and once seated, realized ALL the people in the restaurant were wearing their coats and NOT eating... uh, ahem. It became obvious this was a take out place and the tables were props. I have enjoyed Sakura for the past year or so. The food has been good, tasty and proper portions. Recently I ordered barbecue spareribs and they were served burned black and overdone. What surprised me was that they were even served at all. When I called this to the attention of the owner, the response was "next time they will be done correctly". At once admitting the mistake, but no apology, etc. I will continue to patronize them but will be more careful in the future. read more

The staff were very friendly and our orders (including special requests) were perfect. They have a standard Chinese menu plus a number of Thai selections. Started out well. We had a party of 6 and ordered a good amount of food. Everything was good except my mother in-law didn't eat any of her teriyaki chicken. So we all had a taste and it had so much black pepper it was inedible. I called server over and explained to her the problem. She told me that is the way they make it! I asked her to taste and to have the chef taste it and she refused. She gave us a huge attitude and we had children with us so we didn't want to make a big scene. The female server took it upon herself to bring us the check which included the inedible chicken. The tip she didn't get covered the cost of the chicken. We will not be returning to this place. New in town and wanted to try a sampling of their foods from different countries. After just having moved here from three years in Asia, we had high standards and this place missed the mark. We ordered a sushi roll with shrimp tempura in it and the shrimp was definitely not fresh, the batter was chewy like it had been sitting out for quite a while. The pad thai seemed like it had been cooked in red sweet and sour sauce. It was dripping with pink liquid and tasted nothing like pad thai. The fried rice was lacking authenticity as well. Sadly, the only dish we would return for was the beef with broccoli as there was a good amount of fresh broccoli that was cooked nicely as well as decent cuts of beef with a tasty sauce. The people who work there were all very kind and the atmosphere was nice but the food just didn't measure up unfortunately. read more

Come here a lot with my girlfriend. The Thai chicken is good, and the Lunchtime Sushi specials are some of the best prices in the area. Service is okay, but on the slow side. We usually come in when it's empty though. They charge for refills when dining in, so keep that in mind. read more

It is a great place to stop in and maybe enjoy lunch with a couple of friends, the food is alright, it isn`t great, but it is at least the best that you can get in cornwall. they tend to charge for refills if you dine in, so watch the amount of drinks you are getting, and they do push on refills a lot. i do like that they offer food from three different cuisine. if you do come here, bring someone that is asian, who speaks chinese, because they tend to treat groups with a chinese speaking asian in it, better than those who don`t read more

This is the best Chinese takeout in the Cornwall area. Everything I have ever ordered has been tasty. I have had Chinese food from many restaurants and as far as takeout goes.... This place is pretty good. If you like spicy food give the salt and pepper shrimp on the Thai menu a try... I thinks it's AWESOME!!!!! I'm not a sushi aficionado; but the shrimp tempura roll and the California rolls are good also. Their prices are very reasonable. If your trying to eat on the cheap... Try one of the combination plates... Good portions for the $$$$$. Never had an issue with this place and my family has gotten take out from Sakura many, many, times over the years.
