I was hopeful when first visiting him that he would help my pain. My insurance accepted his treatments which made it a low cost option. Unfortunately, after four treatments, I experienced no pain reduction, Potentially even a slight increase in pain. I think I am just a bad candidate for acupuncture. Dr. Jee told me that he had a hard time feeling my pulse and determining which body type I fell into. He tried two different body types. Maybe if I kept going he would have found the right one. But it just started to feel helpless. So I elected to have a microdiscetomy procedure to fix the underlying issues medically. If you are looking for an acupuncturist, he may be a reasonable option. But his treatments last just a few minutes compared to the normal 30-60 min procedures of a traditional acupuncturist. Has he figured out some new secret to a several thousand year old art? Or is he just trying to maximize the patients he can see and charge within his working hours? I can't answer that question. Just know it didn't help with my condition.

The follow up sessions would be needles on my neck and shoulders according to him. He also explained that cupping is more for increasing blood flow while acupuncture is geared towards tightness of the muscle, which is what I needed for my treatment. They used to really care about your health and wellbeing. Everyone there is nice but my most recent visit they only put 4 needles, which is not standard for them nor any other acupuncturist I have visited. There may have been a miscommunication but my understanding was that I would be receiving more needles than that but my practitioner never returned. I believe I was forgotten about but I could not talk to my practitioner and my concerns were waved away at checkout. My symptoms did not improve and I waited several days after treatment to be sure. I was also supposed to receive some follow-up recommendations for teas to drink and never heard back. I reached out privately as a courtesy to them considering years of positive experiences and have not heard back now after several days. They are usually very responsive so I believe they are choosing to ignore my concerns. I do feel a bit scammed. What I paid for was not at all worth it and I feel cheated, which is an icky way to feel, especially at a business you previously trusted.
