Unfortunately the online detective work he did in advance produced the wrong address, one that hadn't been updated to reflect my company's recent move from Northville, MI to downtown Detroit. Rather than cancel the order, they went above and beyond to identify the issue and go out of their way to deliver the flowers to me at my new office in Detroit. *Edit* My original review was posted prior to the delivery of the flowers for my mom. Today my mom received her bouquet. The flowers arrived around 6pm. I was under the impression that they would have arrived earlier in the day. I called the shop twice to find out why they had not been delivered and was told they were extremely busy and that their flower truck was delayed because of Labor Day. I paid $121 for the flowers, a balloon, delivery tax etc. The flowers were delivered without the balloon. The shop asked if I wanted them to come back with a balloon but I declined. After waiting all day for them to deliver the flowers, I didn't want my mom to have to wait for them to come back with a balloon. It should have been included like I had asked and paid for. I have attached a picture of the arrangement. When I told the owner I wasn't happy about how it looked in the pictures she told me there were "high end" flowers in the arrangement and it was a bad picture. You decide for yourself. I have attached a photo. They also charged my credit card twice. Check your credit card statement. This appears to be a common practice. ******** I have to admit that, at first, I selected Donna and Larry's Flowers solely because I saw a picture of their Golden Retriever on the website. After speaking with Donna, I knew I made the right choice. I live in Florida and was looking for a local shop to put together an arrangement for my mom's 70th birthday. I was so pleased with my conversation and the "can do" attitude of making my idea for my mom's flowers come to life. With the big box stores and online flower delivery, finding someone that can take an idea and make something beautiful is a dying art. I wanted to have a good experience with Donna & Larry's Flowers as their flower selection was beautiful but it was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. 1) I paid $350+ for flowers for Mother's Day and was guaranteed a Sunday delivery. I got a call at 9pm on Sunday night saying they would deliver one that night and the rest on Monday. There was no apology, no offer for refund, just said they were using a "skeleton crew". 2) I asked for a refund and said there was no need to deliver the flowers as I had already ordered replacements. After giving me attitude and excuses, she agreed. I then was notified by my mother the next day that flowers had been delivered. I called Donna and Larry's and they said they had been delivered by mistake. I reiterated that I had asked for a refund and for the flowers to not be delivered and she still demanded I pay for it or they would go and pick it up. PICK UP FLOWERS THAT THEY HAD DROPPED OFF AS THEIR MISTAKE. It was so insane I couldn't believe it was happening. Again, no apologies. 3) A month after this debacle, I checked my credit card statement and still had not been issued a refund. I had to contact Donna and Larry's over three times to finally be issued my refund. Again, the "skeleton crew" was blamed for this horrific customer service. I am very understanding of small businesses trying to survive during this time but the treatment of me (the customer) was inexcusable and there was no accountability for their mistakes. I would not order from them if I were you! read more
