Claimed it was my fault for not some how booking the appointment for the alignment. Not shure how else to book an appointment only for tires when I stated I wanted all new tires and an alignment. Perhaps there is some secret smoke signal that allows one to include a booking for an alignment. Will be waisting another day off to finish the incompleted work.

Chet Paxson owns this garage. I thought he was a good friend and mechanic…read more I caught him trying to rip me off red-handed. I finally saved up enough money to get my rear brakes done. I called and made an appointment (you will never be able to make an appointment in the morning hours cause Chet just won't do it.) for around 1:00 p.m.. He put my car up on the rack and after checking my brakes closely, he came and told me that my brakes would cost me $220.00. I kind of balked at the price because I just saw another local place advertising brakes for $75.00 per axle. I told Chet that $220.00 was a little more than I had to spend. Chet knows my situation because of our previous conversations. He knew I lived on Veterans Disability. After about 3 or 4 minutes of me thinking about it I told him to put it back together and get it off of the rack. I just could NOT see spending that much money on rear brakes. About 2 days later a friend of a friend looked at my brakes and said that they were almost new and that all they needed was an adjuster! A $10.00 part. I went over to look at them and he was right. The pads looked like they WERE new. Side by side with the ones that the friend was going to put on proved to me that yes, Paxson WAS trying to rip me off. He did it with a straight face to!! My advice to all who read this is to by-pass Paxons Village Service on Park in Columbiana. You will save money going elsewhere. Always check the work that your mechanic says your car needs. Does anyone know where I could find an honest mechanic??

Tried to get my vehicle aligned on 9/4, and coming around 2 hours it was announced the tech was was…read morehaving issues with rear toe but was newer to alignments so to come back when master tech would be there, so we rescheduled to 9/6. Took it in again and they worked on it for close to couple hours but again only started with rear. They couldn't get it in, and made a suggestion of throwing parts at it to try because they couldn't get it in spec, or some work around possibilities to not fix the issue but be "corrected". They didn't even touch the front or have anything corrected otherwise but wanted to charge for full alignment being done "because I ate up their time and my vehicle should un-drivable with the current alignment". Well to charge for alignment then should've at least aligned the front. There was no talking to them once I said about the front not even being done, and how can you charge for an alignment without even touching the front, which was just told you can go.
