Bent the propellor shaft and thought the entire outdrive was spent (that was the info I gathered after speaking to another marina). After hearing good things about Riegel Marine, I decided to bring it to Eric. Instead of trying to take my money, he informed me that the outdrive is fine, just needed a new shaft which saved me thousands. His crew got it done way faster than I expected and even fixed a gouge in my hull. Boat looks brand new, I can't even tell where the gouge in the fiberglass was. Excellent work. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

When she tried to contact the marina in the spring, she got no response to multiple phone calls and emails. After driving out to the marina and finding no one there and a for sale sign, she contacted the realtor and was told the business was foreclosing. She was finally able to get out to get her boat this past weekend. The boat had never been shrink wrapped, and her cover was ripped. Everything she paid for was not even done, and she is afraid the motor/engine may have suffered damage from being exposed to the elements all winter. She is struggling for what recourse she may have to this lack of storage service that she paid for. I would never work with this business for boat storage in the future.

I found the setting open and expansive, with clear sightlines across the water that changed character depending on the weather and season. The shoreline offered a mix of natural overlooks, parks, marinas, and small developed areas, giving me multiple ways to experience the lake rather than a single central viewpoint. The main highlight for me was the lake itself and the variety of ways to interact with it. The water felt calm and clean in many areas, and the region is especially known for boating, cruising, and lakeside relaxation. Along the surrounding shores, vineyards and wineries are a major part of the identity, and I stopped at a few for tastings with scenic views over the water. The small towns around the lake added to the experience, giving me access to picnic areas, walking paths, and casual waterfront spots where I could take in the lake at a slower pace. The experience around Seneca Lake was generally relaxed and spread out, with no single concentrated entry point or structured route. I took a boat tour from one of the marinas, which gave me a more immersive perspective on the water, and I also pulled over at roadside overlooks and shoreline parks for simpler, quieter moments. Crowds varied by season, with summer being more active and the time I visited feeling much quieter.

We rented the 10 person pontoon and a tube. There was a detailed (but not overwhelming) orientation to the boat with safety features and some no-nos all explained. We did pull into the wrong marina at first, so beware as there are a few rental spots right in a row. I see some other reviewers talking about the sand bar. Maybe they have changed how they explain this, but this was covered extensively in our orientation to the boat. We had to do a practice in and out of the marina to ensure we understood where to go and how to avoid the sand bar. So...to us, no biggy. The tube was a ton of fun as well so do add that to your reservation if possible! Our boat was in great shape and we experience no issues throughout the entirety of our ride. Enjoy the water!
