Had front door lock replaced. Did a very unprofessional job. Plate not set properly. Didn't tell us till after he finished, that our keys are stamped with "DO NOT REPLICATE" on them. Because of that, you MUST bring the keys to them to have copies made. They give you a card with ID#s on it. If you don't keep the card, they won't replace your keys. They will offer to RE-KEY your door. - A HUGE and UNNECESSARY expense! And if you do have the card, copies of your keys cost MORE THAN $15.00 Each. The exact same key costs $3.99 at Walmart or $4.99 at ACE Hardware. Horribly overpriced but being rude to you is FREE! I've never left a bad YELP review - till now. Go ANYWHERE else! read more

We have a Browning Gun Safe that we had forgotten the code. Luckily, we could still close the door but never locked it. We sold our house and had them scheduled to come out to reset the code for the new owners. Instead, the technician LOCKED the mechanism (with the safe door open) and said there was nothing he could do - our only option is to completely replace the mechanism which is quite expensive. He said he locked it so that it wouldn't get closed with items inside it. I am thoroughly upset and called to make a complaint. Not sure now what we will have to do but this was not what I was expecting and wish he had consulted me before he locked it. I was not charged for the service call. The office then called me trying to explain that this is normal procedure and blamed me for NOT telling the technician that I didn't want the door locked while left open. Then I was told he had entered the master code but it hadn't worked and that indicated a bad mechanism. She was happy to send them back out to work on and repair. I declined her offer and told her I would contact Browning myself. Then I was told to take down this review since they didn't charge me. I refused. She kept getting louder and louder insisting I was wrong and talking over me. I hung up. But to be clear - I WAS NOT CHARGED. But my review still stands. read more

Had a appointment with Austin to fix the ignition switch on my Ridgeline this technician was polite respectful and very knowledgeable on the issue I was having he explained the problem and showed me the parts that was cousin the problem quoted me a price and went to work on it repaired the switch and went to install it and ran into a problem that doesn't happen often but did this time so the job took 30 minutes or more to fix old truck more problem fixed the problem and wouldn't take any more than he quoted Austin went above and beyond what was expected highly recommend thanks Austin the work force needs more like you great job read more

WOW I just got off the phone with this business after reading the reviews that mentioned good service and honesty. Unfortunately I won't know about their service because the receptionist was ridiculously rude! She kept sighing heavily and cutting me off before I could explain what I needed. She told me to bring my car in because she didn't know if they could fix it. Ma'am if you had let me finish my sentence you would have known that I can't even get into my car. Once I explained she sighed for about the 3,000th time and said they couldn't even get to me til next Monday. Which wouldn't have been a problem for me since I'm working from home but since she wanted to make it clear I was bothering her and they didn't want my business, I'll go ahead and do them the favor of taking my business elsewhere. I stupidly locked my keys in my truck with it still running on a stormy night and I was not able to get into my apartment either because my keys were on my key ring in my truck. They sent Jim, who got the replacement keys made quickly and was able to determine that the safe lock mechanism was beyond help. Very pleased with the service I received from Don's. I moved into a new house, and needed the house re-keyed. I called Don's to schedule an appointment on Thursday, and Friday by 2 the locksmith was at the house. In the interim, I discovered that one of the deadbolts was not locking. I hadn't told Don's about it, so it wasn't on the invoice when the locksmith arrived. But, he was able to fix it on short notice, no problem. Saved me from having to buy and install an entirely new lock. He re-keyed the entire house and made me 4 keys. He was very quick and professional. Also, extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend this company. I have been needing to get some keys made to a storage cabinet. I have had the key copied at two places both of which I had to turn the keys. They both recommended Dons. Due to my schedule I had not made it by. I spoke to Quinton on Saturday we had plans to meet at his shop. I ended up getting called away. The lady I spoke to on the phone with a simple question regarding re-keying two deadbolts (already keyed alike) was so incredibly rude and aggressive. I was practically in tears because of the manner in which I was spoken to. You must really not want business and you certainly won't be getting mine! I needed my two locks re-keyed. I was asked about what types of locks I have (same brand), then it was declared impossible to key them the same. They're already keyed the same?! I wanted to change the key due to some neighborhood vandals. I explained this, but she insisted it couldn't be done.
