The…read morefirst time was a month or so ago when I needed some keys made because the copies I had made at Home Depot didn't work. They made them at Roger's for half the price and they worked, and nice guys too. So last week when I needed to change out a commercial door latch for the back door of a downtown building on first Street, I went to Roger's. I had pictures of the door latch and they had exactly what I needed. They even opened up the box and showed me exactly how to install it, multiple times. He had me confident enough that when I I got back to the job, it only took about 5 minutes before I had the old latch off and the new one on. Made my job super easy. So today, same customer needed me to change out the front door keyed latch because of problems with a former employee . So I went back to Roger's, prepared to buy another door keyed latch, they asked if I had the key to the front door latch, I did and they said that I could just change the keyed cylinder instead of the whole door latch, saving me about a hundred dollars. As before, a different employee walked me thru the whole process enough that again when I got back to the job, I was able to change the cylinder out in a couple of minutes. The guys at Roger's saved me time and money!!!

He talked over me, was very condescending every time I would ask a simple question such as general lifespan / quality / brands of doorknobs. He made it all about money & installation instead of answering my questions. I understand there are a lot of options, but he was impatient and made it seem like questioning him was unacceptable. I'm sorry but if I'm paying over $100 for 2 AVERAGE doorknobs (because that's what he quoted for 2 medium quality doorknobs) I'd like to be able to know a little about them instead of accepting someone's word as law. He had me almost in tears by the time I got off the phone because I was trying to stay polite and he kept interrupting me and saying "I don't know what you want!! And I won't come out before Christmas!" I will never trust a locksmith that won't help you understand your options.

We have an over-sized/heavy door and Phillip was able to order the very large torsion springs needed (we had one break, and you don't replace just one) and get them replaced and the door fully tuned and working great again quickly and efficiently. Our door always had some issues before especially with noise, and he was able to solve that completely by replacing our old rollers and fully lubricating all door elements. It has never worked or sounded better! I love supporting him as a small independent workman with his own business, who fully stands behind and warranties his work, and is not trying to up-sell or over charge. His willingness to work on weekends and accommodate schedules is testament to his work ethic. You may have other choices, but none better.
