Huge shout out to Mark at Cal Comfort! I called this morning & he showed up this afternoon with a mask on & he looked at my windows. I thought I might have to replace them because water was pooling in the tracks & overflowing! We talked about the "weep hole" which I never knew about. I took the screens off & he showed me where the weep holes were & voila! They had 28 years of gunk but I was able to get them clean enough while getting very wet! I had Milgard windows installed back in 2007. BTW, Milgard has lifetime warranty on the window but not the installation. Many of my windows have separated from the house. Was told by a third party that the windows were not properly installed and caulked. Alex from Cal Comfort came out to assess the situation in April of 2017. Since then have not had any call back from Cal Comfort to schedule a date for repairs. Next steps, my childhood friend from Stockton whom owns a glass company will be out onsite to repair Cal Comforts' faulty installation. Would not recommend Cal Comfort read more

Our windows are about 15 years old and were installed by a now-defunct company. I called Milgard's warranty service number and they could send someone in Nov. to determine the problem and then schedule a repair person to fix it. We really needed it fixed now and knew we would have to pay for it ourselves. I called Cal-Comfort and explained the situation. Ann (?) called Milgard who happened to have a representative in town that day who came out and solved our problem. This all took about 2 hours. We are amazed and thrilled. read more

I called Cal Comfort to get an estimate on windows and sliding door. They came down measured my windows and door and said they would send me an estimate over an email. I received the email and after reviewing it I decided to go with them. I called to see when they could start the job but Bob wasn't in the receptionist said she would give him the message so he could give me a call back it's been a couple weeks and I've called back twice since then I have never received a return call. read more

I was very impressed with Cal Comfort crew the two men Kevin and Victor that installed my sliding glass door they were great. Each day after they finished they made sure everything was cleaned up and put back in place. After the sliding door was all finished Kevin cleaned the glass inside and out and any finger prints he made sure the whole door was clean. After several estimates Cal Comfort came in the lowest. About 17k lower than Home Depot. Andy came out for our estimate and was so much more knowledgeable than anyone else. He took the time to explain exactly why or why not each type of window or door would work. He also found ways for me to save costs. The crew who came out for the install was amazing. Finished all 36 windows/doors in 4 1/2 days. They were very friendly and thorough. They cleaned each window and even offered to order a new one that had arrived with a small scratch in the vinyl that I couldn't even see. I could not be more pleased and absolutely love the new look and energy savings. I would recommend to anyone. read more

This is the worst experience that I have ever had with them. I purchased a brand new patio door and they charged me for 2400. They gave me a defeat one and could never cloth the door. They are refused to replace a new one. Don't ever go there, they are really bad ! I am going to take them to the court. read more

My excellent experience with Cal Comfort Insulating Windows: I had read some good online reviews for Cal Comfort Windows, so I went to the showroom to see what they had. I met Diane there and she showed me PlyGem windows. They looked very nice and the latches were solid. I had come prepared with a list of the windows in my house from ordering blinds a couple of years earlier. We went over the list, discussing which way the windows should open or if they were stationary (picture window) and she said she would get a budget to me asap. She called within an hour of when I left the showroom. Another local window shop took several days to get back to me. Later I made an appointment with Andy (the owner) to come out to the house to look at our widows and take frame measurements. We went over which glass package to use on which windows. I decided to get decorative grids in the windows and also upgraded to the sound control package. During the process I applied for the HERO program financing, but the interest rate was too high, especially with the added fees. I would also not have been able to get the sound control package with the HERO program because not all sizes of windows and pane thickness are tested for energy efficiency, to qualify for the HERO program. The sound insulating windows are about 0.1% less energy efficient, so I decided the sound control would be worth it. (A no brainer) A few weeks later, it was time for the installation to start. Andy estimated it would take 4 or 5 days to install the windows. He was right on. The crew installed 24 windows in my two story house and most of the interior trim in 4 days. The 5th day they installed a patio sliding door to match and completed the trim. They had to cut some stucco out of the rough opening, but stapled plastic to the wall to keep the dust out of the house. The door fit perfect and looks great. So to sum it up, I couldn't be happier. read more

Recently had a problem with my sliding glass door. I called Cal Comfort, the installers, and they suggested that I send a work request on line to Milgard. Thank you Cal Comfort, very helpful folks I highly recommend them. Now, back to Milgard, they set an appoint w/me to come out and replace the rollers because as I described it, they felt that this would be the fix. Two gentlemen arrived at the appointed time, both were very personable and professional. They came in and within 20 to 30 minutes were through. They spread drop cloths down, vacuumed the tracks, removed the door, replaced the track as well as the rollers, and lubricated the track and rollers, and were done in less than 30 minutes. Thank you Milgard and to the two gentlemen workers. Highly recommend. Oh and did I mention that with Milgard's lifetime warranty, this was done at no charge. Again, thank you! To start, it's a long standing family own business, combined with incredible employee retention. Experience is very important, and I actually inquired on their years of service. Next, Bob walked me through the maze of window offerings and we selected the perfect design while considering my budget. Cal-Comfort installed 13 windows, 2 large fixed patio windows. 66'' x 87'' and 5 sliding glass doors. Many were custom sized. The results were unbelievable, a perfect installation. This is a second home. I live in Los Angeles, so managing the project was another important element in selecting the right company. I asked for few pictures and updates during installation and Bob exceeded my expectations. They provided a start and completion date and held to their word, even after finding dry rot in one of the large window frames.
