Hired these guys to move me into my new house. First of all, multiple pieces of furniture was damaged in the move. Then I noticed that a box of rare baseball cards had been open. When I went to inventory them I fount hat that had stole a Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente and a Mickey Mantle worth nearly $350. When I talked to the manager Stuart Mccoy he blew it off and then refused to take my calls or respond to my emails, what a scumbag. They are liars, they are thieves and they are not to be trusted. I urge anyone looking for trustworthy movers to avoid Don's Moving at all costs. read more

They NEVER even showed up (even after confirming the day of) - they completely disappeared on me without a word. Do NOT book Don's! I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. They are HORRIBLE! They were scheduled to be there at 9 AM. At 9 AM I got a phone call saying that they wouldn't be there until 12 PM because a previous job was running late but that they would throw in a 3rd guy for free. 12:30 rolled around and I hadn't heard anything so I called and was told she wasn't sure where they were but she'd call and find out and call me right back. An hour passed and absolutely nothing. I called back and was sent to voicemail. I couldn't leave a message because the inbox was full. 3 more hours passed and I called back 5 more times and never got ahold of anyone. It's been 2 days now and I've never heard anything. They absolutely abandoned my Mom and I in the middle of a move on one of the hottest days of the summer. Don's will leave you hanging out to dry and a confirmation from them means nothing. There really should be an option for zero stars. By far worst movers ever. Best thing I can say about my experience was that they basically arrived on time (only about 15 minutes late which is actually early for most movers.) I used Don's to move only my furniture, I'm packing and moving everything else. Having just moved to the area I knew that it took my last movers 6 hours to pack and move everything I own so the 4 hour minimum would be more than enough time to move just my furniture. What I didn't realize was I was making a wild assumption that Don's Moving actually moved, when in actuality you just pay them $75 an hour to smoke in your front yard. Three men took SEVEN hours to move only the furniture out of two bedrooms, one living room, and one very small office. That's 2 beds, 2 dressers, 2 nightstands, 1 couch, 1 loveseat, 1 coffee table, 2 end tables, a sofa table, and a dorm room style desk in SEVEN HOURS. After the first hour they had taken 3 smoke breaks and moved the very small desk. It went downhill from there. At one point one mover took apart a piece of furniture (painfully slowly) while another stood over him watching and the third guy stood in the back of the truck waiting for someone to bring him something. At another point one of the mover's carried a lamp, one, from the back of my house to the truck. Seriously? He couldn't even be bothered to carry both lamps at once. And when they "carried" my bed to the truck they dragged the box springs along the concrete so that it frayed down to the wood frame. Then dragged my brand new mattress across the concrete at my new house getting dirt all over it and then argued both the box springs and mattress were like that when they got there. It was brand new. New. Not stained. Not ripped down to the wood. New. The movers also thought it was acceptable to play with my stuff while they didn't move my furniture. I walked in the kitchen to find one guy putting on a very delicate small gold watch that was sitting on the counter. I honestly don't believe he had any plans to steal it, but instead of moving my stuff he was standing around the kitchen going though the stuff on my counters. Then when they were done moving and I was writing a check for the SEVEN HOURS of work they did that should have taken 2-3, the head guy had the audacity to tell me I would need to write a separate check for their tip. This is the 3rd time I have used Don's. Much more affordable than any of the other companies. They do charge by the hour ($85 ) plus a fee for gas depending on the distance. Rob Smith, Jason & Billy were awesome. Don's has never broken anything & they wrap everything to avoid scratches. They arrived right on time & never stood around. It may depend on the crew you get, but the above mentioned men were A+. read more

While we were very excited about using Don's to move to our new home (we had them move us the last time we moved and had a tremendously positive experience), and using a local company is always top of my mind, what we experienced was anything but positive. The first warning should have been the difficulty in connecting with them, then the time lag (nearly 1.5 days) in receiving a response. The capper came when the day arrived, and the movers did not show up at the appointed time. The office could not find their crew, and after numerous attempts we had to find an alternative moving company... needless to say, we were put out, put off, and paid more... If I were able to put 5 negative marks on this company I would. This has been the worst moving experience we have ever had - we've lived in NWA for 27 years and moved 4 times. I'm not sure I could list all my issues with this move. Let's see - one of these men was responsible for nicking several pieces of furniture; scratching several walls with furniture; slowing work down so that it took 12 hours to move only furniture (in the same neighborhood!); evidently took some type of prescription medication at lunch - and could NOT function properly for the next 7 hours; insulted the new home buyer, my wife and myself - with profanity and other inappropriate comments (and trust me I am not a prude); and more. The only redeeming item is they did reduce the time to only 9 hours (even though the new home buyer hired another company to move her across town- and did it in less than 7 hours total). Do yourself a favor- spend less $$ and less time with another moving company! read more

We hired Don's Moving after another company didn't show up. We had read some pretty negative reviews online and were a little skeptical but desperate. They showed up the next day, EARLY! Our move proved to be a difficult one with a lot of stairs at our new house. Rob and Shawn worked so hard. They had to make two trips with the truck, and I know by the end of the move both guys were running on empty. They remained cheerful throughout the entire move. One highlight was that they made a point to place pads around our brand new banisters on our staircase, as well as around the points of entry to protect the walls and trim from getting damaged. I was beyond satisfied and would definitely recommend them to others. read more

Been 2 weeks since I was moved.. If I had left a review the same day I would have this page filled with very foul language and I am not completely ANGRY anymore because will not do any good. My movers were Eric and Bobby. Eric looked like he was just picked up from the DUMP! Bobby was more squared away. The Movers had absolutely NO EXPERIENCE handled my furniture like it was Garbage. I wanted to tell them to take my stuff off the truck and back into my house but they said I would have to pay for the time they were already there. I let them finish. my Leather couch Scratched, Broke a Kitchen Table Leg tore hole in my futon. dragged my King size mattress on the ground I asked them to wrap it in something before they carried it out they said it will be alright. they scratched my refrigerator door. I told them the last movers had to take the doors off. They said they could get it do not worry. Their boss Never returned my calls. JUST a NIGHTMARE moving company. read more

Movers did not show up on time, tried to change contact in front of me, and tried to say we did not pay them. We hired Don's moving in January to move us from Centerton, Arkansas to Prairie Grove, Arkansas. I have several documented emails with Stephanie at Don's Moving. Stating that we had a 4 bedroom house that we needed move and some of the items were heavy. Stephanie in the office set us up to move on February 15th at 1:00 p.m. The movers did not show up until 2:30 p.m., in which they did not even call to say they were going to be late. When they arrived they tried to change the contract start time from 2:30 p.m. when they arrived to 12:30 p.m. My fiancee than made them change the start time. When we started to move the items into the truck which was clearly no big enough, we were told they forgot their tools (which Stephanie in the office stated on the phone and in email) that they would have tools to take apart our furniture. So in the middle of loading the trailer we had to go purchase tools ourselves. Not even 1/4 of the way into loading the truck one of the two movers (not the driver but his partner) could not even lift over 5 pounds. So my fiancee and his friend had to start moving stuff into the truck. The driver stated that his co worker was to weak to carry heavy stuff so he would have to call in a third guy. Which we told them that was not going to happen, we were not paying for a third mover since they did not bring the help they were suppose to, and that also we were moving over 3/4 of the stuff for them because they were to slow and one of the workers could not lift. When we got to the new house we unloaded again 3/4 of the items for them because they were to weak to move. I paid the movers in cash which I have 5 witnesses (one of them if the fire chief for the town) who saw I paid them exactly $415.00. I told them I do not agree with paying them the full amount because we had to move 3/4 of the items ourselves. 30-45 minutes after the movers left I got a call from Don's Moving stating the movers said I did not pay them in full, when I counted the money in front of the movers and the other people so that this would not happen. I told the lady on the phone that I paid them in full and they were not getting another dime out of me. The lady said than that we cussed at the movers when we were moving and we never ever did. And again we have witnesses to even sign affidavits if need be. I feel that I should be paid back for half of the moving since we literally did over 3/4 of the unloading, loading stuff ourselves. I used Don's Moving to move my grandmother's antiques and they did an wonderful job. This meant the world to me since my grandmother has recently passed away. They were on time, very courteous and professional. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks guys!! read more

We had two movers to only load us, Well, actually only one did most of the work, the other talked on his cell phone 90% of the time and flirted with a Cox saleswoman who came to our house (her husband later came and we thought a fight was going to happen).also, this same guy approached me wanting one of beers and even came to me at our ice box saying "I know you have one, give me one of those". What was to take up to 3 hours to load took 7 hours. Both men took many, many, smoke breaks. After complaining to John about this, he did only charge us for 3 hours. After getting to our destination we found A LOT of our furniture had been damaged. Our dressers were loaded upside down and sideways with contents still inside, My washer had dented all around the front, all of our wood furniture was scratched, dented and also looked like sandpaper had been taken to them.(after being rubbed continuously for being loaded facing the wrong way in the truck). Some boxes were not packed right and had fell open and contents spilling out into truck. After calling John and asking for some kind of reimbursement for our expensive damaged furniture, he only tried to justify it by saying he only charged us for only 3 hours. Now we sit in our new home with all damaged furniture. I would not recommend using these guys. read more

If I could do negative stars I would. This company is not at all professional. I spoke with John a week in advance to schedule a move for our daughter. I confirmed the morning of and called back two hours before the appointment and confirmed the address. I spoke with Stephanie both times - she assured me they would be there. The scheduled time came and went with no one showing up. After repeated attempts to call them with no answer, my daughter went to their office, aka home?, and was met by Stephanie. One would have to wonder why they would employ such a person. She said the trucks were still at another appointment and would be there shortly. 6 hours later a no show and no phone call. This kind of practice makes one wonder how they got an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau? Not only did they inconvenience us, but their lack of concern as to how they left us stranded was truly unimaginable. In this day and age it is hard to believe that people conduct business this way. I will never, ever consider using them again and will make sure I write a review on every post I can find in addition to the complaint I am making with the BBB. Disgusting practices. read more
