Prices here are quite reasonable. There's a ton of dining area, but I don't see many folks sitting to eat here at all. The counter is right up front, an odd spot to have it. I grabbed a caramel, cinnamon, Boston cream and a Dutch crumb. $7 for 4 donuts. The cinnamon donut was dense and super dry. Not good. The caramel donut itself was quite dry. The caramel frosting was good. The Dutch crumb donut itself was dense and dry. The crumb wasn't too bad. The Boston cream donut was soft and billowy, as you bite into it. The Boston cream was more to one side of the donut. The Boston cream was good, as was the chocolate frosting. This was the better donut out of the 4, hands down. read more

Better than Dunkin's but not fancy. The donuts fresh and the service is great. I don't think you will be disappointed especially with the filled variety. Coffee was surprisingly excellent considering the price. Those ladies are doing a good job. First of all, the owners and their products are wonderful however, today will be the last time I ever set foot in that building. My daughter and I were arguing in the car and she wouldn't let me grab my wallet out of the council. So I got out of my car, and told her I was not going to be moving until she got out. She is only 16 and does not have a full license yet. So the worker took it upon herself, to call the cops and report abuse so thank you for that. I will never be back. read more

My husband and I were on a road trip through the UP area and love trying different donut places and Donut Connection was our first donut stop on our trip. Donut Connection is not the easiest place to find and is tucked away off the main streets in a very dated and uninviting shopping strip. The inside is reasonably sized but at the time we visited they had indoor seating closed so there is only access to the donut ordering area. We arrived around 9:30 AM on a Saturday morning and there was one other patron who also arrived at the same time but by this time there was already a very small selection of donuts left. We didn't have to wait long for service but the woman who helped us was not friendly. We ordered four donuts, some with frosting and filling and they were all stacked into a single bag. As a former bakery employee, stacking frosted donuts is an absolute NO. Unless your customer is like throw them all in a bag, you absolutely never stack frosted donuts. The donuts were mediocre at best. They weren't bad but they also weren't anything special or to write home about. They were also on the smaller side for the price. We stopped at two other donut bakeries on this trip in Michigan and both were worlds better in taste, selection, ambiance, and staff friendliness. Interesting little place in Escanaba. Not the fanciest place as the outside and inside feel a bit dated and cluttered. They had a nice selection of donuts and muffins. My wife and I were in Escanaba visiting family. Our family suggested we meet at the Donut Connection for donuts and coffee on our way out of town. We have a great donut shop in our hometown of Orland, CA, and I was sceptical about how the Donut Connection's donuts would compare. I was pleasantly surprised. They were the best donuts I have ever had, anywhere. There is a huge selection of donuts made fresh daily. But what truly sets the Donut Connection apart is the service of the proprietor, Terry (I didn't get her last name). She began working as a waitress when she was 16 years old. 37 years later she owns the place and still serves her regular customers like they were family. It's obvious that Terry loves what she does and for her donuts are more than a job - they are a way of connecting to people: I guess that's the Donut Connection! read more
