I happened upon Pink Bakery as my travel companions parked in the space across the door from it. They needed to go in a store for essentials. I saw a bakery and therefore an opportunity. There were a couple customers being served on a Saturday afternoon in late September before me but service was fast. The bakery case is right there and small but mighty with variety. I chose the classic chocolate chip cookie to start with (for immediate use) and a cupcake for another day. Both items were fresh and flavorful, even the cupcake the next night after it traveled some hours. I will definitely return here to try other things. Worst DoorCo cherry pie ever And the most expensive one I have purchased. One generous sized slice contained approximately 10 small cherries. The rest was an over abundance of jell. The large cherry scone had two cherries which could be seen towards the surface but none throughout the scone. When I called on a Friday to express my concern, the manager was too busy to talk to me. I offered to stop in with the pie on our way out of town, but was told no, that I could stop by on Sunday for a new pie. Why would I want a new pie if the first one was bad. I was offered the manager's phone number to call her back but decided not to bother. Not very good customer service in my opinion. The main reason we shop the Pink Bakery when we visit Door Co. is for their Cherry Danish. Their danish has a good amount of cherries but we also noticed extra jell like their pie. We have been in search of a bakery. We had eaten at another business owned by this owner so we wanted to give this a try! We walked in on a Saturday mid morning with lots of goodies available. We asked the person working what her favorite item was as we couldn't decide. She said the morning buns, we plan on getting one of these on our next visit. Our 1st trip resulted in us purchasing 3 peanut butter cookies, 1 sugar cookie with icing and sprinkles, and 2 of the caramel pecan rolls. I will dissect each of these: PB Cookie: They are thick and huge! It was the perfect crunchy edges and chewy inside. It was perfect. My husband had 2! Sugar Cookie: we have a bakery in our hometown that has the most amazing sugar cookies. I have to say that this one BEATS the ones from home. I will be taking some home for friends. Caramel Pecan Roll: this buttery, flakey, nutty, and caramel flavor meld together to make this amazing roll. My husband and I couldn't put it down it was so tasty. We will be taking these home too! We met the sweetest couple when we were in there. She said we had to get the Peanut Bar, so we will be sampling that later. It's a cute little place! What a hidden gem! Pink Bakery has a wide variety of treats, including several gluten-free baked goods. They had two varieties of GF brownies and two kinds of GF truffles, plus a GF cupcake today. I went with the GF chocolate almond truffle, and was not disappointed! My husband went for the gluten-laden caramel pecan bread pudding. They also have good espresso drinks, both regular and decaf. This is a very welcome addition to Egg Harbor! I can't wait to come back. read more

Stopped by for some New Year's Eve treats. We bought 2 cupcakes that were horribly dry and just plain weird - crumbly. The frosting was crunchy (like the sugar wasn't dissolved). Our sons ordered several doughnuts - all of which were stale. The doughnuts we hand out at the food pantry in our town aren't this bad. I ordered a cinnamon roll. The roll itself was decent, but the frosting was gross - almost like they forgot to add the sugar. read more

I walked in and was immediately unimpressed with the display of goods, so I did not purchase anything myself. I found out later a cake was bought to celebrate my birthday. I was severely disappointed and had better luck with a tiny store bought piece of cake later on. The "cake" part tasted stale and hard, the frosting was too sweet, and the lemon curd tasted very artificial. It was a terrible cake and we couldn't even finish it. A very nice, clean bakery in Door County town called Egg Harbor. The selection is so large , you have to come back and try different pastries. The server was working alone despite the long line. She was very calm but felt bad for who waited so long. Have to come back and try more choice. The hot chocolate was great. read more

We stopped into this bakery and were greeted by a kind-hearted employee named Miranda. Miranda went to the back for a second while we decided what we wanted. Another horrible, older woman came out and was very rude right away. She asked if we'd been helped and was visibly annoyed when we didn't respond right away. We told her we hadn't been helped yet and she stormed to the back, shouting at Miranda. When Miranda came back, she was in tears because of how terribly this woman had treated her. No one should ever be treated this way. Needless to say, we won't be going back as long as that lady is working there. read more

Small little place, tucked in a place not seen by many, but very small and cute. It is a very wonderful place, which is sort-of new. As I am a sweets master (I eat almost all sweets), Their cupcakes and donuts taste amazing, not as good as other places, but still pretty good. A bakery should know not to put paper ON the frosting. Expensive experience when most donuts then do not have frosting or are smooshed with another. Great baked goods (pies, brownies, cupcakes) but breakfast foods are uninspired and lack a variety of taste. Not really a good experience. read more

Passed by this bakery while perusing the Pumpkin Patch festival. They had a vendor outside, but I opted to come inside. I ordered a cutely decorated Halloween cupcake. My companions opted for a pumpkin cupcake and an M&M's and Halloween cookie. I was so excited for my first bite. The frosting was yummy, however the cake itself was dry and hard. Plus mine was topped with a whole oreo, which we all know is not a "soft" cookie. Mine happened to be that way, which lead me to suspect that I had an OLD cupcake. Ordered a cake from here for a wedding anniversary and had an EXCELLENT experience. The cake was done on time and waiting for pickup when we arrived, it was absolutely beautiful and elegantly decorated, and incredibly delicious. Everyone at the anniversary party was impressed and gave a ton of compliments on the cake. I would definitely order from here again and can't wait to try more baked goods from this place. Possibly the worst cupcake I've ever had. It was supposed to be a lemon-lime cake with orange frosting. We got in touch with Pink Bakery very last minute to cater my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary (which changed from a small event to a larger one with little notice). Kim immediately let us know we were in good hands, assured me that we'd be alright, and helped me select a menu and a cake. When the day rolled around, everything was so smooth, the food was delicious (both the options we ordered for the kids and adults were hits) and the cake was terrific. So grateful for everybody here - and would happily use them for any and all events in Door County in the future! read more

$48 dollar 8 inch cake. I always try to support local. I used to take my kids to the gas station in Bailey's Harbor that carries donuts from Pinks and frequent their bakery. I ordered my daughter's 8 inch birthday cake there. I looked online and saw the "regular cakes" were $18 and "specialty cakes" were $30. This price menu has now been taken down. I ordered an 8 inch cake with a Nike symbol. Not hard. I was not told the price of my cake. I picked it up and was blown away that it was $48. Buttercream-up charge. Filling-up charge. Nike symbol-style fee up charge. When I pointed the online prices out to manager he was nice but did nothing. I told him I would write a review to warn others about false advertising and hidden charges...I was only told about buttercream and he blamed it on the employee who took my order and said he just talked to her about that. Very disappointing and unprofessional especially since I bought $40 additional in other baked goods that day. They have lost a customer in me and my extended family. Rip off. Additionally, $2.50 teeny cupcakes were stale. Should have refunded cake or at least part of it. Not the way to run a small business at all. Left shocked. read more

The bakery goods are decent, nothing special, and tasted like they were from yesterday (despite having been purchased 20 minutes after the bakery opened). The woman taking our order was meh. She put our $40 of donuts and rolls in 2 cake boxes. The tissue separating each roll was on top of all of the donuts, in the frosting. I remember the exact same service last year (meh service, smooshed frosting) and wish we would have remembered. If this bakery wants to maintain a repeat customer base (not just tourists like us who come up once or twice per year) they need to invest in flat boxes. We had their pecan roll. It was really big and very good. We shared it and half was more than enough. Two negatives are the employees aren't friendly. They aren't rude but really serious. The other thing I didn't like is there are no prices. You have to ask the clerk how much things are. Can you imagine doing that when they are busy? We stopped here on our way home for some goodies. We bought a Danish, a cinnamon roll and just a plain coffee for $9. The price wasn't great- but I love bakeries and am willing to spend a little extra for the cute charm of a bakery. This however, was not worth the price. The Danish was over cooked. The cinnamon roll was disgusting. The roll itself seemed bitter and the frosting was what I can only assume was whipped cream with cream cheese mixed in.... And sat out for a long time. When we ordered, it seemed as though we were an intrusion. Not exactly rude, but clearly, they were not pleased to see customers. None-the-less, we persisted, and we took home a variety of cupcakes. The flavors were intense but the cake in each of our choices was dry and unremarkable. The CAKE should have flavor, too and covering it with a mountain of fatty frosting does not cover for the lack of flavor throughout. This place has delicious chocolate chip cookies. Seriously, they're amazing. When I'm in Door County, my family makes a point to make a few stops there to get these cookies, including a stop right before we leave, so we can enjoy them after we return home. read more
