I've never been to this place but I've had their sour cream donuts numerous times when a member of the family who lives in the area brings them to my side of town and OMG, they are sooo delicious! Stopped in to sample their latest offerings. Came on a Friday , so I had one of their fritters, which is good... Not quite what I remember to be once , upon a time. Also, another favorite, the red velvet is smaller than it used to be. The frosting is good but again, not like it used to be in the past. Also, I had a coffee roll and that is smaller & not quite as good as it used to be. Still a pretty good stop. I would give them four stars.. Coffey is still decent. Their donuts have consistently gone downhill over the past year or so. I remember when getting an eclair long john, you could feel the weight in it. Now it feels no different than a Dunkin' Donuts long john even though there's filling. Whatever happened to this place is just sad. It used to be one of the bragging rights of Joliet. The competition a few miles away will be taking all of their business if they haven't already. I feel like they spent all their money on trying to make the place more streamlined with TVs instead of a chalkboard. Seems like a waste of money. I used to bring a dozen donuts to my work in Chicago, right near Webers, and my coworkers would rave how much better it was than the bakery. Whoever owns this place now doesnt deserve it. Ok I'm a big fan of this place! The Saturday special truly is one of the best donuts ever in Illinois it's the maple bacon long John! Sooooooo damn good! I will say in my opinion the donuts here tend to be sweeter than home cut donuts but they're also more flavorful usually. The donuts here are so good they sell out. They really sell out and close up shop as soon as they are sold out! Get here early if possible! The great thing here the donuts are always fresh! This past Saturday morning (April 5th 2025), my fiancé and I are trying to find a new coffee shop. We used to love Dunkin Donuts coffee but over the past few months of going to different chains, the coffee just plain sucks now. Plus the donuts there, not worth it. So she mentions Donut Den and it was a little bit out of the way to Naperville from Wilmington but we were desperate to find a place. We walked in and were greeted by smiles and the smell of fresh baked donuts was overwhelming. The place is clean and the varieties??? I have never seen so many and such unique flavors! We got a dozen donuts. Strawberry filled, Crunch, French toast, sour cream cheesecake filled to name a few. The man behind the counter was very patient with us as we were trying to figure out what we wanted. The coffee was good. Not much to choose regarding flavored creams for the coffee but I am not picky. As long as it is good. We will be back again! read more

Well after years of going here for donuts, it's over. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. The donuts are good, not the absolute best but for the area they are good. The service has never been the best but today it really hit rock bottom. I always go there with my 5 year old, it is a treat for her and a good father/daughter moment for me. Today's blatant disregard for customer satisfaction deserves to be shared. My daughter's favorite donuts are the strawberry frosting with sprinkles. The teenager that was there to "help" us made this an exercise in patience. I asked if they had the strawberry donuts and the teenager taking our order just looked at me with this stoneface look, like I'd just insulted her for asking and she replied "No". I then asked if they had anymore on the way and that i didn't mind waiting, again just a cold stare and "No" as a reply. The I asked her if she could double check as they were my daughters favorite and she replied "we're all out", didn't flinch or even bother to take a look or check, just a flat out "we're all out". Am I being unreasonable here? I didn't expect a new batch to be made just for my daughter but for the love of god would a smile, a little bit of effort and some politeness kill you - and I don't know, maybe the appearance that the business is appreciated! My daughter just looked at me with disbelief and her exact words to me when we got in the car were, "Dad I don't want to come back here, next time lets just go to Dunkin Donuts" and she LOVES those donuts. I don't know and frankly don't care what drama you are going through in your day but if you are in a customer service role, such as this, you should at the very least try to be helpful. Even a 5 year old can spot Poor Service! You can say I'm ranting or being a Karen about this but this is what crushes local businesses. I searched online for a place near the training location in Chicago... I was Sticker shocked at the cost of a dozen doughnuts! Most of the times we go there the donuts are amazing. They have been short staffed for a while so I appreciate the people who work hard and get up early for us. Tip for customers: go early!
