The owner of this business should be absolutely embarrassed with the way he treats his employees and customers. I was in not long ago with a friend when he began to yell in this poor woman's face telling her how to do her job, everything he mentioned she should be doing is exactly what she did. so I'm confused as to why he thought that was appropriate. This owner got in her face not once but twice. I chose to say something because what was that??? I told him he should be embarrassed with how he treats her and that he should not be speaking to someone that way. As we all sat down to enjoy our breakfast, ALL 5 of us were disgusted and disappointed. ALL the donuts taste like they were fried in the same oil as some kind of savory food!! Cute little donut shoppe. We came by here after seeing that Dunkin' Donuts was closed. The problem is the windows were so dark here, we thought they were closed too. We had to call to make sure they weren't. We ordered a dozen from the little old man behind the counter. Got home and realized the donuts weren't so fresh. They weren't bad, just old, tasted like they were from the day before. They also don't line the cardboard box with paper to soak up any grease from the donuts. Weird. The top and sides were crispy, with the standard yummyness of sugar and apple chunks, but the cakey part tasted just above yuck - bready and flavorless, like someone stuck a dinner roll inside of a nice donut -- who wants that? They need to be made thinner so every bite is sweet. Let me also state, a bad fritter is still good and I ate every bit of it. 4) Beside donuts and the usual fare, they carry Mexican breads, empanadas, sandwiches, breakfast items, and dadaDAHdah...tamales. 5) The "Donut Inn 30" staff gets extra credit for super nice service. I've stopped in at this location many times and was great, however today I stopped in and ordered 2 donut's cost 4 bucks unbelievable one of them a supposed to resemble a jelly but when I got home and started eating it there was maybe a spot of jelly the size of a penny. The donuts aren't bad but they're not exceptional and the selection could definitely be wider. I asked if one donut was raspberry; the woman helping us didn't answer but she bagged it up for me so I assumed the answer was yes. Once I got home to eat it, I found that it was instead strawberry. We went to this shop Sunday afternoon to get donuts. The attendant was cleaning the floor. When she saw us, she dropped the broom and went to the little sink to wash her hands. The problem is she didn't use any soap and barely washed her hands. Then she grabbed a small tissue to grab the donuts for us. She didn't wear gloves or used a utensils like the other places do. That was my one protection from them. I don't carry cash to save myself from donut shops and homeless people. This puts a whole new danger level on my system. I can go to this place (that's open 24 hours a day), and buy donuts whenever I want? "Danger! Will Robinson! Danger!" After my brain calmed down, I realized I was kinda in a hurry, so rather than pick and choose donuts, I just asked the lady behind the counter to surprise me with 12 donuts. I perused the case and saw giant donuts. Massive donut-cakes the size of a record. I half-jokingly asked if those were included in my donut options, and she smiled, and not jokingly told me "no". Phew! Dodged another bullet there. But seriously...open 24 hours, giant cake-donuts, and I can pay with a credit card? I starting to think I'm in some major trouble here! I grabbed the warm and friendly pink box, and gave her my debit card. She charged $5.99 (a dozen is normally 8 and change), and I walked out the door. There tamales are some of the best I have ever tasted. They are hand made and prepared daily to keep the fresh and full of taste. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and when I walked in there was no one at the counter. When I walked in there was like a doorbell sound that went off when I entered the location to notify the people working in the back that someone walked in and it made the sound but no one walked out for a good minute. Finally a Hispanic lady appeared and looked at me as if I had walked into her home unannounced. At no point in time did this lady give me a smile or a hello just a death stare. So I was the one that said hello and asked for half a dozen donuts. Showed up 10 min before the close, and they gave the donuts that were left in the display. We sat and ate the donuts at the table before they close. While we sat and ate they brought freshly made donuts in the display of all kinds. I asked the lady what time they closed and she turned to the guy and he said 9 pm. Which is odd because they just brought out all there new freshly made donuts. The guy was rude in the fact he didn't let us know there were fresh donuts coming out, and wasn't nice when we asked if we could sit and eat the donuts before they close. Simply wonderful. We went in to get a few donuts at 2:30AM && left with 2 glazed bow tie donuts (fresh & hot) 2 glazed, 1 old fashioned, a maple bar, a large cinnamon roll, 2 bottles of milk && a FREE GIANT DONUT. We just moved to the area and my 2 year old looooves donuts. The donuts are dry and stale and have a weird taste. Even my 2 year old dislike them. The coffee taste as it's been sitting for days.
