This place is the real deal, owners arrive super early to make the donuts fresh. The cronuts are out of this world, light, chewy, airy and delicious along with many other variety of fresh baked goods. The couple that owns it is very sweet and down to earth. It doesn't happen often but sometimes I just get a strong craving for a chocolate frosted donut and today was that day. I have driven past this shop many times so it was my choice based on location and the fact that I could tell it's locally owned. It's in the small shopping center at the corner of Republic Road and Scenic. We purchased 1 chocolate frosted donut, 1 glazed, 1 plain cake donut and 2 kolaches. Whenever I pop into a local donut shop in Dallas/Fort Worth area and order kolaches they always offer to heat it up first before bagging it up. The man working the counter this morning just dropped them into the bag cold. I didn't plan to eat them in the car anyway and I do have a microwave of course but I think the offer to heat them up would've been nice. When the mood hits I would definitely pop in here again for the chocolate frosted donut. That's my favorite. read more

First time getting donuts in Springfield and decided on Donut Time even though it was slightly out of the way. They didn't disappoint! Very clean donut shop, had a good amount of variety, and donuts were nice and fresh! I think I came in too early cus they didn't have the one I was looking for but I couldn't complain about the freshness of the dough though!!! I'll definitely be back for more! My wife brought some of these home the other day.. In the box; Maple Bacon, Original, Thin Mint, Chocolate, and Sour Cream cake donuts. The maple bacon was by far my favorite. Generous toppings of "real bacon" not bits like other places use. I did feel it could have used a little more maple... The sour cream cake donuts were fantastic! Flaky with a moist center; sweet yet zesty... The original was top notch as well. Possibly a little sweet for some people, but I found the taste, and texture similar to a Krispy Kream. With a little more density.... The thin mints were not really to my liking. I think when you have donuts that are sweet. Matching them with other sweet rich thing's can be quite difficult.... All in all excellent product! I love ultra sweet donuts, and am a fan of them being flaky, and gewy!... The Bacon Maple is worth 5 stars alone. All I can say is "Hello Home." read more

Just a small shop tucked in the strip of shops at the corner of Scenic & Republic Road next to China Wok. They have a great fresh selection of donuts and rolls and excellent coffee. The prices are good also compared to the chain stores. So friendly here. Good place to start the day! read more

I've passed this place without even noticing it for months and happened to stop in today... very glad I did. I'm beginning to get very very disappointed in the donut shops here in Springfield. They either suck on ice(like hurts donut and daylight donut), or are great, but don't make my favorite donut (which are crullers, especially chocolate glazed crullers ). This place is awesome, but didn't have my beloved crullers. The lady behind the counter was friendly, polite, and helpful, and very cheery. The place was clean, and they had coffee unlike Ray's Donuts. They weren't well lit outside so it was hard to tell where they were, in fact, we almost drove past them. The donuts we did get were wonderful. We may live way up on the north end of town, but this south end gem was well worth the drive, we even set an alarm on a Saturday morning just to get up in time to beat the rush. We will without a doubt be return regular customers barring the chance my San Diego area favorites make their ways to Springfield, Missouri (Winchell's, Yum yum's, and Dunkin's ), lol. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was a lack of crullers, otherwise, an awesome experience, and I highly recommend them. read more

Totally worth the extra running I'll have to do :-) These people are so nice and the donuts are fantastic, there is a really good selection. The glaze on the plain donuts and donut hole has a great buttery and maybe slightly vanilla taste. It's a little bit different from anything I've tried at other places and I really like it. The apple fritters are phenomenal, the sausage rolls were really tasty and good if you aren't in the mood for something sweet, the Bavarian cream tastes like real Bavarian cream.
