Blueberry cake donut, Long Johns, caramel cinnamon roll, Butterflies, Apple Critters

The best donuts in Columbus! Their cake donuts are our fav! They have great cream filled long John's. I tried the butterfly roll and loved it! The Apple critter was yummy too (I would love some more apple chunks in it but it was still really good)

This place closes at noon, so if you have free time during the day, be sure to stop here first before heading off to run your other errands. My wife and I made it just before closing and we were really glad we did! The place has a kind of drab exterior, so unless you are really looking for it, it's easy to drive right by. Fortunately, we found it and pulled into their private lot. Inside, there is an order counter to the left and lots of seating to the right. We were greeted and though the inventory had been reduced, there were still plenty of donuts to choose from. My wife got a cherry turnover which she said was light and flaky on the outside, with cherries throughout the folded pastry. I ordered a Butterfly Roll that is a chocolate iced bismark made with layers covered with cocoa so that I got chocolate flavor in every bite. Really good! The cinnamon roll we split was fine. Unlike other places that smother them in icing, this was a smaller and thinner roll with a glaze. Nice flavor balance, but not what many expect who go to mass produced bakeries. The gal behind the counter was friendly and answered all our questions about the different donuts available. If you like donuts, this is worth checking out. Just wish I had tried the coffee. Moved to Columbus in 2015 and discovered this gem. By far the best donuts I've had in Indiana. I was born and raise in Indianapolis and you may hear people blabber on about Longs and blah blah blah, that's only out of nostalgia and or they are crowd followers. Longs donut are thick bread type donuts like you'd get from Kroger. This place has the best light are airy donuts you'll find. Get here early or you'll miss out. Better yet don't get here early so that I don't have to compete for their amazing Persian roll. Everything is fantastic here but as mentioned their Persian roll is unbelievably good. It has that old small mom and pop type small town feel and I love that about this place.

Drive thru coffee and donuts on a Saturday morning are hard to beat. Friendly and family owned, unchanged since I was a kid. For selfish reasons I wish they were open on Sunday as well but that's part of the charm of family owned. Highly recommend!

Best donuts in town. Light, airy. Have to request crème filling in Long Johns but they don't get bent about the request.

Donuts are good. Love the chocolate Butterfly donuts and donut holes. The only draw back is that they seem to run out of donuts to soon.

I had anticipated my visit for a little while now but I can imagine I'd be delighted to find this spot on an adventure through the area. The vast plant nursery was also delightfully unexpected. The inside of the Farmhouse is just like a farmhouse, with the most charming interior that feels like Thanksgiving dinner with a collection of all the tables and chairs that you could find in your house to host everyone. First course, delightfully unexpected, was queso and chips! Free of charge, we were served a nice Rotel-style queso dip with multigrain chips. Yum! The tea selection is nice, it's all bagged teas that you get a small pot of. I got a salted caramel tea. Delish! Delightfully unexpected! I got the chicken salad sandwich with kettle chips. I love a chicken salad sandwich and this one hits the spot. We split a slice of peach pie for dessert that was just lovely and warmed up for us. All courses arrived pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend a stop to the Farm House on your trips to Brown County. I hope I can make more road trips in my future plans as soon as I can so I can visit again!

I ordered a grilled cheese along with a sugar pie slice and a London fog. They have other baked good options which looked good too. The grilled cheese was very small and I think cheese got into the pan because it was also cooked onto the bottom side of the sandwich. It was a very small grilled cheese. The London fog tasted quite strong and the sugar pie didn't really stand out. There were other items on the menu though that I'd love to try if I ever go back. What I think took this down to 3 stars was the service. When I went to order, I was just stared at and I thought maybe they weren't ready for me yet but they were. There was just no greeting of "Hi, welcome in" or even a "What can I get for you?" It was just a stare and silence. Now the staff were not unkind...they certainly seemed friendly but that lack of greeting didn't feel great. Additionally, they were very quiet or mumbled when calling out orders and so it seemed like many people listening never heard their order including me. I also had to ask again for the pie after having paid. I bought a bandana as well and didn't see the price tag. When I asked how much it was the staff member said it was either 12 or 15 dollars. She rang it up as 15 when later I saw the price tag and it clearly said $12. I showed the staff member and she said it was $15 and it was a handwriting issue for the price tag. I rarely write reviews less than five stars but I do think if there could be a bit more initiative from the staff and orders called out more clearly and louder for drinks so they don't spoil that would really help.

It started out awkward because the menu still said "spring" at the last of the dog days of July and several beverages on the menu were "we're out". Then the "Elderberry Fizz" drink had not one fizzy bubble! We asked and they said that despite the name, the drink is flat. Huh? The Taxman beer was nice and the carbonation was just right. On to the food ... happy to find that the grilled cheese which is on local sourdough bread and stuffed with a nice amount of spinach could be ordered without bell peppers. It came with choice of side and she chose "Indiana mustard potato salad". Since she is from Indiana thought it funny that which part was "Indiana". I ordered the fish tacos small plate. The chef came out in person to make sure that fresh ahi grade tuna was ok (!) because so many people assume that tacos would have fried fish. He also guaranteed that not a bell pepper would be in site. We were sitting outside on their extensive patio and the beautiful food came out. We could not believe our luck. The $10 tacos were gorgeous and delicious, a bit spicy. The grilled cheese was more than the ordinary. The potato salad was quite good and a little sweet. If we lived in Columbus we would want to know about this great deal - a nice different meal for a Friday night or something.
