What a sweet little tea and coffee shop. We stayed in Nashville for 3 days on a girl's trip and stopped here 2 of the 3 days. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about their products and helped with any questions that we had. The owner was super friendly and also said she just opened a gift shop down the street and also lives in town. Her brother and one of her employees helped us the day prior and they live in town as well. They also have a coffee or tea to sample on a table in the seating area. There are a few tables to sit at and a couch and chairs in the seating area. They were 7 of us so we enjoyed many items on the menu. The highlights were vanilla chai latte (my fave), the peach tea, and the s'mores latte. There are plenty of items in the shop for purchase related to tea and coffee and you can browse for quite a while. Fantastic little tea shop tucked into a cluster of shops in Nashville right across from the Brown County Visitors Center! We arrived on the main thoroughfare in Nashville on a Monday morning around 10:30 am in October - the high season in this leaf peeping area. Having stayed at an inn just down the road, we wanted to get a hot tea to warm up before our day off walking around town. We are so glad to have found Sweetea's! We got a great parking spot in the small lot and went right in. The shop is cozy and filled with teas, tea related gifts, and some other fun Brown County & Indiana knickknacks. I tried their cherry almond tea latte with oat milk and my mom had a maple tea. We both loved our selections. Exactly what we needed to warm up before a brisk shopping adventure. There's some family style seating at two round tables up front and a couch and chairs in the back. By the time we left people were starting to file in as the shops all opened up for the day. We were able to started parked in the lot while at the visitors center and the shops in the surrounding square which was very handy. This is a great little place located in Brown county, Indiana. This is a must try place. This is adult friendly and kids friendly. They have a lot of different flavors of coffee. Lattes cold brews and they also have some great bubble drinks and tea lattes. The customer service is amazing! Definitely recommend this place. They also have cute little coffee mugs and nice reusable bags if you're interested. Their prices are affordable as well. Parking is available on the street or there are public parkings available sparsely for no payment. There are also a couple parking lots available for a small fee. read more

So, cozy warm and welcoming staff! Lots of things for you to look at and buy while you are chilling with your drink order. The added bonus is that they have tables with various table games that you can take part in! The biggest draw for me is that they gave an expansive selection of caffeine free drink options! So, if you are like me, and have been limited as to your options to consume a tasty beverage due to caffeine restrictions ... then, definitely check this place out. The only thing I might discourage someone from getting is adding boba balls to their drink...the boba balls weren't what I've experienced at other tea shops...these didn't have much flavor and they had a very weird texture when chewing them. I can't say enough positive things about this place! The owner was working the register when we came in. We were a large group and she was immediately accommodating. They had free samples of one of their cold brews and a flavored lemonade that they had that day. As each of us ordered, she was very kind and made sure that we had all of the drink accommodations that we wanted. When my friend ordered something that she hadn't tried before, the owner told her to let her know if she didn't like it and she would get her something else for free because she "wanted her to actually like what you're drinking." I think that was really thoughtful to make sure your guests know up front that you value their satisfaction. The little shop has a few tables and couches to sit at as well as a little room outside. So cute inside with a few tables as well as couch and chairs to sit and relax. Love that they have tea lattes. The lemon meringue was delightful. They also sell mixes for many of their drinks. Saw some references to it being a bakery, not sure about that. They had three store bought bars available -- lemon bar, seven layer bar and brownie. The barista was friendly and helpful and worked very quickly. Thinking the A/C must have been down cause it felt like at least 85 degrees in there, so it wasn't too comfortable for very long. read more

I've been wanting bubble tea for agessss ! As I was walking to my car in Nashville, I seen someone with a drink and seen the boba in the bottom ! I freeaaked ! Cute spot in downtown Nashville. Very cozy and has lots of charm! I ordered a hot Chai tea latte with almond milk and my sister got a milk tea with brown sugar boba. Once our orders were ready, I noticed that they accidentally made me the wrong size. The owner immediately took care of it and made me a new drink. Thank you! PROS: -Good amount of seating. -Great service. -Good menu variety. -Convenient location. -Chai latte was delicious! ---- CONS: -My sister said that the texture of the boba was slightly off. -The line was pretty long on the Saturday morning that we went, but that can be expected at most places on a Saturday morning. -A bit pricey, but didn't mind too much since I was supporting a local business. ---- Overall, fun place and would definitely visit again! Let me go ahead and make this Yelp Official -- I have found my new favorite spot in Nashville, Indiana. I seriously am in love. Love? Yes, love. We decided to go back to Sweetea's as soon as they opened again the following day before we even left the first day kind of love. The purple puffy cartoon hearts popping over my head as I type this review kind of love. Let me tell you the *many* reasons why. -- The staff. OMG, the staff. The nicest people ever. We had THE BEST service and later learned that the owner was actually the one taking care of us! You could tell that she and each one of her lovely ladies on staff truly enjoyed being there. The second day, they recognized us and each greeted us warmly. They even put a candle in my scone for my birthday. I felt the love. -- The hot TEA! So many choices! Day one I had the Peach Brulee tea. Smooth fruity awesomeness. Day two I had the Vanilla Orchid tea...and my life changed. The smell alone made me want to retire immediately and just move in. I wanted to buy my own little cool tea pot, my own warmer with the little tea light candle in it, my own tea making EVERYTHING -- just to be able to have this tea. It made me a believer. I loved tea before, but I was SERIOUS about tea after this. (Yes, I bought some loose leaf and other supplies for the road -- their retail selection is AWESOME). -- The food! We sampled some good stuff both days -- and the hubs even got the same thing twice it was so good (the club). Day 1: I had the Queen Elizabeth -- cucumber dill creamy goodness on marbled rye. So light and so fresh. Day 2: The Chicken Salad on Wheatberry. Also tasty. Danimal had the Sweetea's Club on Wheatberry - he paired it with a bottled specialty Craft Root Beer. Let me attest to the fact that the cranberry/orange crack based spread that was on his club should be illegal. SO good and really set the taste of the sandwich off. We had the home made White Chicken Chili as a side -- and I humbly admit that it is better than the version I make at home. For the sweet tooth, we got the Vanilla Chai scone with cranberry orange curd and the Lemon Muffin with lemon curd. Both were great. All very reasonably priced. -- The setting! Exposed beams, high ceilings, roomy tables, laid back atmosphere. Seating is comfy, and there is a couch in front of a fireplace for hanging out on cool days. Free Wi-fi. They even have a little "tea area" for little ones to have dress up time and tea parties! So stinkin' cute! Random -- I had never had Boba tea before this visit to Sweetea's. I know, I know. They have a huge selection of Boba to choose from here! Since it was my birthday weekend I was up for trying anything and everything new. I was educated on the various kinds of Boba -- and theirs is the popping kind as opposed to the tapioca kind at other places. I opted for the "vanilla spice cake" base with mango and peach bubbles. The hubs got the "Cake batter with caramel" base with with strawberry bubbles. When they arrived, we realized there was dairy in the base -- so I had *2* bobas to myself! I can now say that I have had them...and they were an experience. I loved the base, but the whole popping thing is probably for someone else. Don't get me wrong -- it wasn't their fault that I have a strange texture thing against bursting things. But I digress. So YES. Come here. Multiple times. The *only* thing you have to worry about here is the 'off season'. Like many businesses in Brown County, they have limited hours. Most places in Nashville use the cold season to close, restock, remodel, etc. as tourism is down in January-February. I am just thrilled that we got to have this place basically to ourselves 2 mornings in a row. I can't wait to go back! read more

I can't believe I've never left a review here. I've been a regular for years and can't recommend it enough! Favorites are a gunpowder mint sweet tea (both hot and iced!) and their Vanilla Almond tea latte. Jaime is the owner and it so kind and thoughtful in helping you find flavors you'll like -- since there's so much to choose from. If nothing else give their free samples a try, there are normally two, a latte option, and a sweetea option. If you find a favorite don't forget to look for a latte kit to take home with you. Everything is premixed, all you need to do is add the water! Even as a local, I keep them on hand at home, but you can order them from their website as well. read more

I don't usually stop for tea or coffee when I'm out and about, but I saw that this place was under new management since the start of 2018 and was hearing/reading good things. So I stopped by. There is a very relaxed atmosphere in the place. A large dining area with quite a few tables and even a few comfy places to chill if you want to stay awhile and use the wifi. There are also some racks of items for sale including packaged teas, flavor enhances for your beverages, etc. On the far left as you enter, there is an order counter with a list of menu items on boards on the wall behind the server. The owner was working when I stopped by and she was very helpful and knowledgeable about the items she made and sold. I don't usually go for lattes or fancy hot beverages, but since they had a free mini sample of a Peppermint Patty Tea Latte, I helped myself and that's all it took...I was sold! I immediately placed my order and she quickly made my drink for me. The flavor was fantastic! And the best part was that I could drink it right away. She lets the latte steep for just a brief time at 200 degrees and then lets it cool down instead of maintaining the scalding temperature that so many amateur coffee houses do. I was able to get the full minty flavor right away without having to wait or blow on the liquid just to drink it. I enjoyed it so much that I picked up one of the 1883 brand of peppermint syrup to add to my home beverages (a touch with some gin and tonic might be tasty!) This is the cutest tea shop! We were out walking around Nashville last weekend, enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon. With a slight chill in the air, we stumbled into this tea shop. We were delighted to find that (for under 6 bucks) we could choose a tea flight to enjoy with a bevy of homemade sweet pastries (try the persimmon pudding.) With the tea flight, you get your choice of 5 different teas, served with a piping hot pot of water. The selection of loose leaf teas can be overwhelming, but rest assured the staff is both pleasant and knowledgeable. I have tried every coffee shop in the Nashville, IN area and this shop is by FAR my absolute most favorite. I have sampled many of their tea lattes and they are delicious. But I go there for my specially made: large, quad, sugar free vanilla, heavy cream, light whip latte! If I am downtown, that is where I am going. The owner and shop staff are very friendly and customer focused. If you want wonderful teas or coffees or a light snack/food, this is the place to visit. We opted for a tea to share, a cinnamon roll, and some tea biscuits. The presentation was cute. As for the quality of food it wasn't the best I've ever had. But what made it fun is that we experienced it together and it was something different. What an adorable shop! The warm, cozy atmosphere with a mixture of tables seating 4-6 can accommodate different group sizes. The sofa and chair area is very comfortable and you'll find a communal bar along the back wall. There is a small, individual desk area to the right of the entrance. The soft music, the delighful aromas and friendly service makes for a lovely spot to stop for a muffin, sandwich, quiche, salad or bakery item. I ordered the large Thai Chai hot tea ($4.75) and my husband had a large, black coffee ($2.75). He noted the coffee was excellent, strong and not bitter! Mine was soooooo good. The flavor was outstanding and wasn't overly sweet. It did not disappoint. The owner was friendly and checked on every table and customer in the shop.
