Fantastic local spot to get hot chocolate. We went here specifically to try the spicy Mayan hot chocolate. We got an Abuela hot chocolate and the Mayan hot chocolate both are rich and creamy. Both are fantastic, and the subtle spice on the Mayan version ads a flavor kick that will make you wish you had this version before. When we were there they had Christmas gift bags with the Mayan hot chocolate mix. The owner were there and were very friendly and answered our questions drink questions, looks like a fantastic menu, and they have beer on tap too. read more

Literally stopped mid eating to write this review - that's how good it was. The atmosphere is a bit more like a restaurant than expected. We ordered the flamingo chai and Austin tacos and they were PERFECT. Everything was warm, plated beautifully and the service felt like a 5 start restaurant. Looking forward to trying everything on their menu. I wish it wasn't quite so loud and had a bit more comfortable seating, but I understand most are coming here for the food like a restaurant vs a coffee show quieter vibe. read more

We loved our breakfast here! We found this cafe thanks to yelp after finding our plan A to be closed on Sundays. We were impressed right away with the beautiful pastries and the welcoming and kind service. I had the breakfast tacos and loved them. The tortilla seemed scratch made and was the perfect consistency. The bacon was chopped so I could enjoy some in every bite. My husband loved the blueberry danish. I also enjoyed that there were a few games available. My toddler and another in the cafe kept busy playing with Jenga blocks. I didn't see a changing table, but overall it was family friendly and a comfortable experience. We will be back on our next Columbus visit! read more

We had brunch while visiting for a soccer game. The table ordered lots of breakfast favorites: pancakes, French toast, chilaquiles, and an omelet. Everyone was happy. On the way out I took a mango smoothie to go which was also fresh -and good. The food all came out at the same time and was the right temp. Employees were nice and the bathrooms clean. The only negative would be the noise level... maybe some different furniture or wall decor could dampen it a bit. read more

Desserts are not replaced so go early if you want fresh ones, otherwise will become cold and hard. Taste-wise they are pretty delectable. Servers are kind and do a good job making food, checking on you could be more frequent. Inside is very clean and sometimes subtle afro-jazz music playing in background. Place has red colored walls that give some warmth. Although with the blue lighting the walls can't give the full warmth they have, so the cozy vibe was not present in my opinion. read more

This locally-owned cafe in Columbus serves upscale breakfast and lunch with lots of fresh ingredients. I stopped in the try one of their beautiful pastries. The clerks are super friendly and genuinely happy as they work. You order at the counter then have a seat. I selected a chocolate-filled croissant from the case and the clerk warmed it up and put it in a plate. The croissant was as light and flakey and the chocolate filling was warm and melted. It was delicious. Breakfasts that were brought for others, looked amazing with fresh avocado, strawberries and other fruits. I was wishing I had tried the avocado toast. We were traveling through Columbus and found this wonderful quaint coffee shop along the way. We stopped in for an early breakfast and coffee before continuing our travels. The staff were very friendly and they have a full menu of great breakfast choices. We enjoyed Huevos Rancheros and a breakfast croissant. Both were fantastic! From the menu I sort of assumed that there would be table service, so I was a bit thrown off when I saw that you have to order at the counter. I got over it though and luckily I had perused the menu beforehand. I tend to get overwhelmed when I am staring at some wall menu and have to make a decision while people behind me are waiting for me to complete my transaction. But that's just me. Otherwise this place turned out to be really good. The menu as stated is extensive. So many choices. I decided on the Jamaican crepes. OMG, that homemade caramel sauce that comes with it is tha bomb... It is so freaking delicious I would bathe in it. Anyways, the entire dish somewhat reminds of bananas Foster. Very good. My iced latte was also delicious. Not sure what my friend had ordered, but she loved every bite of it. She also complimented the coffee, so much so that we had to stop by later in the day to get her another coffee here. Next time I am in town, I will make sure to stop by here for sure. read more

Adorable cafe serving fusion food with a Latin flare! We loved the light and fun atmosphere with music and plenty of natural light. This is an order at the counter with table service cafe where they bring your food to you and bus tables but there is a water station on the counter to refill yourself. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was busy but we were able to find a table and the turnover was pretty fast. We will definitely visit again! So glad you're in Columbus! read more

I keep trying to reconcile the uneven wait times for food/drink at this restaurant. A half empty restaurant on Fall Break with 3 employees behind the counter plus how ever many in the kitchen: how did it take 20 minutes for one hot chocolate and an order of plain toast? I stood at the counter and watched the male make cup and cup of coffee and saw those being delivered to customers who had ordered after me, some of them getting plates of food also ordered after my hot chocolate and toast. After asking about my order, he continued to make coffees before making the hot chocolate. No possible way that orders were being fulfilled in the sequence of placement. And to is isn't a one off for Le Fernandez.... Coffee is probably the best in Columbus, food is good, fresh, innovative. Front end management seriously lacks. What may be most troublesome is that I think the male making the coffee was management..... Consumer warning: if you don't want to wait for 20-30 minutes for counter service, please go elsewhere. read more

A little pricey but worth it for the atmosphere. Great service. Their only issue is capacity and parking. But they may have been by design. If they had a lot of parking they couldn't provide good. Service is slow, prices are unreasonable and the parking situation is a total mess. People park wherever they want in the parking lot, including in the exits and entrances. Do yourself a favor and hop on over to another local coffee shop if you're wanting a good cup of joe.
