As a result of the lessons, my children now want to continue with lessons or at the very least sign up for the horse summer camp that Heidi offers. She is an excellent teacher and works with the children on their level. She even helped my son earn his horseback riding belt loop and pin for cub scouts! My only bit of advice is to get good directions before heading up to the stables. Otherwise, awesome experience!

I would not board my horse here. I had our horses there for seven months and chose to leave. The…read moremanagement is a total mess. In our short stay at Bonny Doon Equestrian/Vigne they: raised the board $100 with a month warning, started weighing the feed they gave and would ignore if a horse was loosing weight, they stopped offering grass hay (unless you buy it yourself), often forgot to blanket our horses even though we paid extra, on several occasions they didn't feed at all!...on and on. The manager strictly enforces the rules, yet ignores them herself (dogs on leash, wear a helmet,...) Warning: her "rescue dog" is often off leash and we saw it bite a horse. The barn hands (who are constantly quitting) leave at 5pm so you are on your own after that (blanketing, feeding,..) No one lives at the property, so no one will know if your horse is in distress overnight. They nickel and dime you (you can barely use the arena lights), yet they don't mind losing good customers. Top level trainers are often lured by Vigne's beautiful setting but always end up leaving due to the very poor management.

They immediately made me feel welcome and were both friendly and personable. Maria carefully reviewed my policies and suggested a few changes that could be beneficial. There was absolutely no pressure to make any adjustments, which I appreciated. She also let me know that my auto insurance rates would be decreasing, which was great news. After our meeting, she promptly followed up by email to answer questions I had about jewelry coverage and provided links to companies that specialize in insuring jewelry. Pet People was recommended to me so I checked it out. I went onto their website and omgosh they stock the food I needed! I was so relieved.
