My garage door puller was grinding when I open the door. The door pully on the right side lost tension, cable unwounded off the pulley, two rollers jumped the track. The door looks so bad because it was unlevel and I had to push the door up to get my truck out. My car was parked in the driveway. This was Thursday night at 6:00pm. I researched online the service companies near Chamblee. I choose, Liberty garage services, scheduled an appointment for 9:30am Friday. The tech arrived at 9:15am. He explained what will need to be done and gave me a good estimate. He fixed, adjusted and leveled door in 1 hr. Very professional. He did a great job and greased the cable also. I don't know if this guy is an Eagle Scout, but if a Boy Scout ran a garage door repair service, this is what it would be like. Mr. Spencer was clear and quick in his communication; he educated us one multiple options to deal with our problem without particularly trying to sell us on anyone in particular; he found the most economical but also worthwhile fix to our problem. In the course of the scheduled repair, he discovered a short in our wiring and fixed it for free. He gave us the walking-out-the-door price and did not surprise us with any hidden fees. We are very satisfied with the repair; the fix happened less than 24 hours after contacting Mr. Spencer (I left a message on Sunday afternoon, and the door was fixed by 2 PM on Monday). I couldn't think of any way this guy could improve his services. Extremely reasonable prices, outstanding service, superb education, clearly-explained options, fast response, punctual arrival, great communication... what more could one ask for? I searched on Yelp for a company with good reviews and CSS popped up. They were swift in their response and came out the same day. What I most appreciate is their willingness to explain what was going on bc I absolutely have to understand WHY and WHAT is going on...just the way I'm wired. They were able to not only educate me on the broken coil, but showed me the work they performed. Service was relatively quick. I came out my pocket a couple of hundred for a new spring/coil...and their labor, etc. My house is 10 years old and I know my garage door isn't super high end and this is the first work I had to have done on it so I found the price to be reasonable. Other than the spring repair, they discussed other "wear 'n tear" hardware that should be replaced, and also gave estimates on full door replacements (wasn't interested at this time). No high pressure sales pitch, just options to consider. They also fixed the sensors that weren't working on the other door, and installed a wireless keypad for convenience's sake.
