We have found plumbing with water streaming down the pipes between the kitchen and garage wall. My husband had to cut out a section of the garage wall to get to the problem and replace the plumbing. By the time it was discovered the kitchen cabinets had soaked up so much water we could squeeze them like a sponge. The brick steps were built around a literal mound of dirt instead of the cinder blocks that they should have been bricked around. We found that when we had a concrete patio poured and that contractor had busted out the lower step. The linoleum in both bathrooms was cut out around the toilet base then caulk filled in all around it instead of having the circle cut out for the toilet seal and the toilet then set over it, the linoleum in the foyer was put in shoddily and when my husband confronted them about it they would only put another piece of linoleum over it. Baseboards were cut incorrectly. The air conditioning system was too small for the house so it burned up and had to be replaced. When we started finding the problems beginning with the plumbing and called we were told it had been a year so basically too bad so sad. We tell anyone that we know who is looking to build a house Do Not use this company. They tried to blame the contractor but I find it hard to believe they have no idea that the people they hire are not worth what people work hard for and pay for their homes.

Apart from him seeming rather shady and on the dishonest side my garage now sits on a concrete foundation that over the past decade has started to feel like chalk and is cracking severely in in some places. Being that I work on cars in this garage I needed it fixed I had a concrete contractor look at it a few days ago. He said my concrete is severely "dusting" and the cause was insufficient mixing before pouring. One section is going to have to be repaired and now I'm looking at having to spend around $2500 to have it fixed! Thank you Mr. Jackson. Sorry, but I do not recommend S.S. Steele!

We worked with them through the Strengthen Alabama Homes Grant Program and have no doubt we chose the right contractor to complete our new roof. Chase came out and walked us through the current issues we were facing and then described step by step what would be next if we chose to move forward with them. He was respectful and detail oriented with us and made sure we understood the full picture of what needed to be mitigated. Once we decided to move forward with them, we were on the schedule within a week and a half and the work itself was completed in a little over one day. The team that did the installation was courteous and respectful of our home, taking care of our property as if it was theirs. Horrible!! So disappointed in this company. So I decided to return to give them another chance after my old housekeeper moved away and I tried other cleaning services but never got the cleaning I was use to. It ended up just to have them keep changing cleaner again but I was giving them a chance even after all the horrible stories I heard from the cleaners about the company. One young lady came to my house in tears because how she was being treated so I sat and listened but still gave company a chance. Then I get an email yesterday asking if I can change from my normal day and I responded saying I would try to accommodate and I went and moved things around after I got home ready to let them know I could make it work to find I received an email saying they are discontinuing service to me because they can not give what I needed. I have been trying to accommodate this company for months and I even got 4 neighbors wanting to hire them then I received a very unprofessional email no explanation or anything. I had already planned on leaving in a month my old housekeeper is moving back to Pascagoula so I was atleast going to stay with them and give them a two weeks notice I was leaving but I don't get that in return. Horrible and needless to say I have shared my email communication with my neighbors and they have decided to just hire my old housekeeper. So disappointed that I gave this company another chance. The young ladies cleaned well had a few issues but always gave them a good tip it's not the young ladies fault about the office issues. Also I found out the office tax their tips so I tipped them directly because I was never told I couldn't. Update after I requested an explanation I was given an explanation why they just stopped my service. It was much better than the first email that I received. All of the cleaners who have cleaned my house know I'm preparing for a very large party in a few weeks and to be told that the cleaning service cannot handle my cleaning at the last minute after I've already been scheduled for a cleaning is just very unfortunate but I do revise my statement. I WAS LATER given an explanation by the owner. The first person that contacted me was very blunt and did not give me a reason at all, so I requested an explanation and was given one. I would've respected them more if the person that contacted me after I requested an explanation was the first one to contact me because at least she explained why even though I still find it last minute because my cleaning was to be less than a week from now, I can understand if you don't have the staff to accommodate my cleaning schedule anymore. I would have rather that email being completely open about the sudden change than the one I received at first. I hope the company can get things together because I was all for supporting woman, and as a woman I just think after everything I should have just been given a little more notice. Wishing the company nothing but the best.
