Will never come here again - their staff do not understand customer service and do not have a desire to make you feel welcome - when they are going to lose the business they cut you off even if that impacts the health of a pet. If you care for your pet - you want a Vet who will put your pet's health above all else and this place just does not seem to have that opinion. We called and they took us right away. We had to make the difficult decision to let her go. The Dr. and staff were amazing with our kitty and with us. Dr. Murphy said a beautiful prayer as our girl said goodbye. They gave us the gift of time to say goodbye and made it as supportive as possible. EVERYONE at the practice was amazing and they didn't really know us. The next day we received a beautiful floral arrangement wishing us warm memories to ease our sadness. The other places didn't have an exotic vet in the office I called everywhere even in neighboring states. My rabbit had labored breathing. I said the morning of AND when I booked the appointment. then one of the techs has the audacity to say "yeah we were wondering why she was needing a medical grooming." SO WHY DID NOBODY CALL ME??? no one asked me or explained to me what was going to happen!!! clueless, dumb, and no one is in charge of these CHILDREN that "work" there making appointments. We have been bringing our pets to this office for a couple of years, and the front desk…read morestaff--especially Bunny--has always been kind. Unfortunately, a recent situation has made us decide to move our care elsewhere. Our dog has struggled with chronic UTIs since birth, and we have worked with this office for nearly two years to try and find the cause. At the vet's recommendation, we saw a specialist, who suggested an extended 8-week course of antibiotics due to the specific bacteria involved. The vet here agreed and prescribed what was supposed to be enough medication for the full 8 weeks. We were also told to drop off a urine sample at the end of the course. When the medication ran out, I brought in the urine sample and told the front desk we had just finished the 8 weeks. Several days later (close to a week later) we were told the medication should have lasted longer, meaning we unknowingly didn't get the full course. Therefore, the UTI has since returned. The office now seems to claim this was our fault, suggesting we gave too many pills, despite us following the prescription instructions exactly. To make matters worse, while our dog is now experiencing bloody urine, the focus has shifted to blaming us and promoting Purina dog food instead of urgently addressing her immediate medical needs. We are not opposed to considering a diet change--we've even tried in the past--but Purina alone will do little to stop the bleeding compared to completing a full, specialist-recommended 8-week course of antibiotics. I have since called the office three times after noticing we were shorted antibiotics and all the vet tech keeps bringing up is Purina dog food. . . All the while, my dog is bleeding profusely. This is a real shame, because we truly liked coming here. But based on our experience and other reviews, mistakes here seem to be met with blame-shifting rather than accountability. Thankfully, we're moving soon, and the new area has some great, well-reviewed vets. We're hopeful our dog will finally get the thorough, compassionate care she needs.

On August 12th, 2019, Doctor Lynda Wright killed our beloved cat Thomas…read more The preceding day, a Sunday, we noticed that Thomas wasn't feeling well, he seemed to have a cough, which is something we've seen in him before over the years. Preferring not to have to go to the emergency hospital in Henrietta, we opted to wait and see if we could get him into Phelps Veterinary Hospital on Monday. The next day Thomas was noticeably better, but we still wanted him to be seen. Although in the past we have had a difficult time securing "same day" appointments at PVH we called and were thrilled that they could get us in later that afternoon. We brought Thomas in for his appointment, and at first everything was going as expected. We waited anxiously in the waiting room entirely unsure of which staff doctor would be seeing Thomas this visit. When the door opened we were initially excited to see Doctor Wright who treated another cat previously. As Doctor Wright examined Thomas physically, it became apparent that she was completely unfamiliar with his background. She had no idea that he was seen at PVH just two weeks previously as a follow up to an ear infection that was treated by the emergency hospital and then Canandaigua Animal Hospital (because we could not get into PVH!). She seemed entirely uninterested in the short video my wife had made of Thomas coughing the day before. It should be noted that at this time our cat was walking, meowing, purring, rubbing up against us, Doctor Wright and the techs. They even remarked that he was purring so loudly. Doctor Write told us she wanted to do an X-ray and we agreed. She called us in the back to review the X-ray with us and she said that Thomas has fluid around his lungs. She told us this was "serious" but that she "had seen much worse"; her words. She told us she wanted to try to extract some of that fluid to determine its nature and subsequently an appropriate treatment, and to this we again agreed. Doctor Wright told us this may take some time and because we were feeling very cold in the air conditioned office, not to mention worried about our Thomas, we told her we wanted to take a few minutes outside in the fresh air. We spent maybe ten minutes out by our car, then we came back into the waiting area of the office. We waited another 20 minutes at least, with a room packed full of people and screaming dogs, and then a tech came out asking who was with Thomas. We said that's us. She instructed us to wait a moment, left, then returned shortly with our Thomas in his cat carrier. She had discharge notes and instructions from Doctor Wright and she began to go over them with us. Right away my wife and I thought it was very unusual not to get a consultation from the veterinarian. The technician continued on saying that Thomas was given an injectable steroid medication and an injectable antibiotic. At this point, my wife and I took this as a sign of relief, we sincerely both thought that Thomas wasn't in bad shape and would be just fine. We got Thomas just into our car and we immediately noticed he was not doing well. We called PVH IMMEDIATELY from our car and an incompetent teenager who answered the phone told us that we didn't have an appointment, and we'd have to go to the emergency vet hospital over 40 minutes away. My wife and I then watched in helpless horror as Thomas' throat closed up, and he died in our arms in our car in the parking lot of PVH. As this was happening, we watched as Dr. Wright left the hospital in her blue Ford Escape not even five minutes after delivering a lethal dose of whatever it was that she injected into our beloved cat. Dr. Wright and the staff at PVH treated our beloved Thomas like a flea infested feral cat they trapped out back. The lack of compassion and professionalism was deplorable to say the least, and our cat paid the ultimate price. I absolutely hate Dr. Wright, Dr. Coleman (the owner) and the staff of PVH for murdering our beautiful cat, Thomas. We will never forget what happened and the lack of compassion and care from Dr. Wright and PVH.

He gave them exams, shots, and nail clippings, nail clipping at home is almost impossible without putting them in a sling. We were very impressed, and will be going back. Highly recommend using them. The office is nice and the staff was really friendly. We look forward to our next visit!
