A week after, I received a beautiful urn of Angie's ashes. To my surprise, I also received a card from Doorbell in the mail a few weeks later for Angie and after several months, I received a letter saying Doorbell Vet had made a donation in Angie's honor. Hands-down, the best and most positive Vet experience we have ever had with our baby girl Bella! Doorbell Vet answered my multiple phone calls and messages prior to our appointment and was able to squeeze us in due to my concern for Bella's G.I. health. Doctor Turner and Joana (probably getting that wrong) are truly AMAZING! They took their time with Bella, to get her to feel comfortable and gain her trust. Our dog, unfortunately, passed away from cancer a little over a month ago. On her last day, we searched to see if anyone in the Rochester Area had a service that would allow her to pass calmly at home rather than in the stressful environment of the vet. We found Doorbell Vet and saw its outstanding reviews, so we made a call. Doorbell Vet's customer service representative told us that all vets on call that day were currently seeing other patients and that she would give us a call back within 2 hours to let us know if there was an opening or not. We never received a callback, ever. Not after 2 hours, not after 2 days. We left our name, phone number, and address. We were very clear that our situation was very serious and that our dog was in a lot of pain. Because we waited the 2 hours for a callback, our dog missed an appointment window at our regular vet and was unable to be brought in until late afternoon. She was suffering for a good six hours more before we were able to put her to rest. And we had to do so at the vet, no less. The very place we were trying to avoid by using Doorbell Vet. Despite the stressful environment, all the staff at our local vet were incredibly understanding and sensitive about the scenario. While we cannot attest to the quality of care the veterinarians of Doorbell Vet provide, we can absolutely say that their customer service is thoughtless and insensitive. If they did not have any spots open that day, we would have understood. We did call in with very short notice. But given our dire situation, Doorbell Vet could have at least called us back or left a voicemail in a timely fashion to let us know that there were no availabilities. This is absolutely unprofessional, and for this reason, we absolutely do NOT recommend Doorbell Vet. read more

My beloved big old dog Jack had to be put down and it was very very hard for us to do. The Doorbell Vet was wonderful, compassionate and patient when they came to put him to sleep. On Tuesday the 29th of 2020 my cat Harvey that has been a very strong part of my family for 18 years was at the final moments of his life. I didn't want to scare him and cause him stress by taking him to a unknown place for his final moments. They explained everything to me and made me feel better about the very difficult choice I had to make. They talked to Harvey, rubbed him and made him feel loved. The convenience, not to mention the comfort, of having exams done on your pet in your own home is absolutely the best. Add to that friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable staff, and you've hit pet care utopia. I don't think we can or will ever go back to a "traditional" vet hospital in the future after working with DBV. My only regret is that we didn't start using them sooner. I, and my 8 yr old lab-hound mix (TuckerMax) can't say enough good things about our first home visit by Dr.Dori and Kim. I was impressed with the tone they set to make sure doggie was relaxed, and with the amount of time they spent - close to an hour. They started by giving him a toy to chew the squeaker out of. Happy dog! Tucker is quite high strung, and hubs and I both grew up w large animals so our dogs were seen at home - the idea of a home vet seemed to work for us. At an office vet Tucker wld be very riled up due to the other animals, but not at all at home. Thinking he had a parasite, Tuck had a full work up - he laid in their laps in the kitchen, had blood drawn in the garage on his bed, his urine caught in a steel bowl on a wander outside, 'glands' checked in the yard. Lab work was back in 2 days and was emailed to me. If he had needed medicine it would have been mailed. All in all a great experience. They were thorough and well prepared w his medical history. The office staff that scheduled him were helpful and shuffled the schedule where needed to account for the vet's drive time and such. I have used Doorbell Vet for both of my cats. They were both sick with cancer within the past year, and we had to say our final goodbyes to them; one in February and one in September. Dr. Silberg and his tech Stephanie were so great. They were always so kind and compassionate. I can't thank them enough for the compassion and kindness they gave to us and to our beloved kitties.
