My elderly pup's health was in irreversible decline, so we embarked on one last adventure - a cross-country road trip from Cali to Rochester (where we first found each other). 3,000 miles away from our vet, we turned to Stoney Pointe to help with the final stage of his journey. From the first phone call, Stoney Pointe's staff was the epitome of professionalism and empathy. They explained everything thoroughly and showed such care with my boy, giving us all the time we needed to say goodbye before and after his passing. They truly helped to ease the pain of an incredibly difficult day. While I wish we'd never had to visit them, I am grateful for their care and can attest that they are wonderful with both animals and their humans. read more

We cannot say enough about the compassion and complete support we received today at Stoney Pointe Animal Health Centre. Our vet of over 25+ years could not accommodate us when we had to have our elder cat put to sleep due to a drastic change in health over the last 3 days. My husband called and they got us right in. Our poor guy took a huge turn for the worse while we were at work today and he needed urgent care. From the minute we walked in, they took total charge of the situation with compassion and kindness. I took my perfectly healthy cat here to be boarded for a week and have her annual check up while there. When I retuned to pick her up, 2 young girls just looked at each other and blankly starred at me. I firmly believe everyone forgot my cat was there. For a week. I had to go upstairs to retrieve her as she was miserably sick and hiding. There was no vet to see her as I picked her up on a Sunday. My gorgeous blonde baby was emaciated and lethargic with reddish pink stuff running from her eyes. I asked the employees to make an appt for Monday, the next day as I knew she was seriously ill. Reminder: she was supposed to have an annual exam while there and I signed a paper telling them to call me with any concerns. No call was made. This office claims that she was given her exam and that she must've had some symptoms prior to my leaving her there. Nope. They were here Vet, they would've known. She never regained her health, was in misery and had to be put down. Almost as bad as losing my precious friend was hearing the laughter going on in the office and overhearing Dr S talk about his credit card bill while my girl was being put down. I received a bill for about $1000 for the death of my pet which I believe was 100% caused by them forgetting she was in their care and having no food or water in a hot room for 6 days. read more

If you believe your animal has a serious illness, then get a second opinion. It doesn't matter how many years experience a Vet has. A beautiful dog is dead because of arrogance. Question everything. Get second opinions and if you think more should be done, then INSIST. It may save your animal's life. I, personally would never use this vet again. RIP. You were loved and we did all we could for you with the exception of trusting this "Vet"! read more

I just moved to Rochester, and finding vet care for my much loved shelter mutt was a priority as well as a concern. Setting up my appointment was fast and easy, and the receptionist who took my call was very friendly. Arriving at the center I was pleased by how clean and open it was. The vet was very knowledgeable and understanding as we discussed my dog and her anxiety issues and made a plan to help her out. I also appreciate that they offer boarding... that could be super helpful if I need to take a short trip. The prices for services rendered seemed standard. So far I am really happy with the choice I made in going here! read more

I'm so glad I found them! They were able to get my cat in for a spaying quickly and with ease, even during a pandemic. They take safety measures like masks and owners waiting in the cars. I Boarded my dog at this vet for a long weekend as they were recommended by my vet. I thought they had good care, however my dog was injured during the boarding. I understand that a dog gets into things, but I feel that they should be responsible when I am paying them to watch my dog. They initially took responsibility for the injury with an exam and 3 days of pain medicine, but when she needed an E collar so that she would not lick the injured area, they refused to supply this. The office manager suggested that we say "no" when she was licking at the area but I have a job and cannot stay at home to watch the dog. I was not asking for much- just an $25 collar read more

Dr. Schumacher is great with all my babies and they absolutely love him! He saved my cat years ago when another vet couldn't .... I ended up transferring all my babies to his practice and never looked back! He takes the time to explain anything that is wrong and always uses a very proactive approach. Dr. Rogers is a great vet. Some experiences have been great, they push wellness visits and charges for adult dogs. If you have the money, it can be great for you. On the flip side......my recommendation is to never take your dog here unless you want to deal with a vet who doesn't give a crap about your dogs emergency situation. Yesterday 8/17/2017 is the second time in 2 days that my family has requested emergency veterinarian services, and have been pushed aside and referenced to the Emergency vet services in Henrietta. So, the first dog of 15 years has his last moments at the emergency vet, because "We have 2 clients already this evening...(clients, gee, the 3-4k we have spent in the last 6 years with you makes us not a client, thanks) call us tomorrow. The poor dog was dying that night, thanks for caring. 8/17: lunchtime - is the Dr. available for an emergency with my dog (labored breathing and can't move)....no, the Dr. is not available, try emergency pet services. If you have ever taken your loved family member, your dog, in a vehicle and are rushing to get help because they are not breathing, or are in distress, it sucks. Stoney point is 4 minutes from my house and I am relegated to a service that is 20 minutes away. She died in the front seat of my truck with no help in sight, or that Stoney point even gave a crap. If you love your animals, and don't want them to die in your vehicle or home while you search for a place who will see them in an emergency, don't use this vet. read more

I thought I had found the perfect place to board my cat. He has been boarded at this location numerous times. Unfortunately he was recently diagnosed with diabetes and now requires insulin shots twice daily. I was informed that they could no longer accommodate my cat because he needs injections and was not a patient of the clinic. For a business that touts itself as providing full service boarding with professional vets onsite, I am surprised and disappointed by their unwillingness to board my cat due to his condition. read more
