I purchased a door from Dor-Win and had it installed. About a year later a yellowish goo started to seep from all around the door. It looks like it's some sort of foam insulation. Dor-Win's website says unimited life time warranty so I went to Dor-Win with my receipt in hand. I explained to the woman at the window and showed her a half dozen pictures of the stuff oozing from the door. Let me say Customer Service is not in this woman's vocabulary. She stated that all doors do this and that I should just scrap it off with a razor. I have never seen this stuff on a door before and dont believe for one minute that it's normal. Too soon to give a FULL POSITIVE review. I got less than (20) 4830 series windows, I saw a 2017 reviewer said their windows are now foggy. I just hope my 4830 series windows hold up for 20 years+. The company has been around for decades, but someone there needs to do some work on their website about the products they offer. You don't know much about the windows and you the buyer now have to read Yelp to get feedback and pictures of any failing, failed or still in good condition windows they sell. I will be revisiting YELP in the near future with additional comments and pictures on their products. I had minor issues with a few screens. With any window company check all your windows and screens and take pics of all flaws that needs attention when the job is done. I am currently waiting on some screens that were damaged out of the box and I am awaiting on the replacements. read more

Had a custom size window made, was done in less time than was stated, great quality and very reasonably priced.

Have had Dorwin Windows for three years. I cleaned the Windows and now one window will not stay open. This must be a continual problem with their windows as their website shows how to fix this problem. I tried to fix it, my son tried and two contractors I had here tried. Very professional & timely. We have a 3 season porch (block wall, not insulated but heated) that needed 8 windows. They came to install yesterday and look great!!! I will update in a year or so to let ya all know how they are doing. My hope is that since they have been a local business for over 50 years that they have to be doing something right. Dor-Win gets at a minimum of 4 Stars. I bought my windows in 1990. most windows have held up, some have leaked/ fogged up. I own a 2 family with many windows, also a very large front bay window that is about 10-foot width by 6 feet high, that never leaked after more than 30 years. If you have a repair needed after the warranty, they will fix the glazing. I am local to Dor-Win, I do not need a contractor to do the repair, Dor-Win has come to my house only twice to reglaze the sashes that have leaked. not bad for 30-year-old windows. read more

Great experience. Purchase 19 windows and 3 doors. Price was great, installation team was professional, efficient and detailed. A piece of one of the doors was damaged upon arrival and they replaced it without question. Would 100% recommend. Went here to look for exterior doors. They were not helpful at all. I was shown a door that was almost what I wanted. Next to the door was a picture of the actual door that I wanted. I was told, no we can't get it. Why would you put up a picture of something you don't sell? Don't waste your Saturday coming here. read more

Very low quality windows, the gases within the double insulated glass has leaked and I can't see thru the windows and doors.

Windows are less than a year old and a piece of the window fell out and the window will not stay open. Customer service said it was operator error and not a defect. My options were either to have someone walk me through fixing it over the phone or a $150 service charge. Rediculous! I DO NOT recommend them and will most certainly NOT use them when I redo the windows on another property I own. read more

Horrible experience. I went to get 10 new windows for a new house construction and gave the owner the correct measurement in a typed paperwork which i had from previous quotes. The owner wrote down all the measurements on the agreement and stated that these are the right measurements that i needed based on the information i gave to him. After a week i get a call that windows are ready to be delivered. I checked the measurements on the windows and they didn't fit so i went back to the store to talk to them about this issue. The owner had purposely written down all the measurement incorrectly to scam us on the windows he had in stock. I called and talked to them and all they could say that you signed the paperwork and that you are stupid that you can't read what the agreement said. I went to these store based on the nice reviews from below and trusted them to do the right thing but i was wrong. I recommend everyone to never trust these people and make sure you check everything they write because you will get screwed over as well. The customer service is out of the door since they are rude and hang up on you regardless if you are nice or frustrated. Also, they will overcharge you on windows that are not even close to Anderson silver-line quality. Stay away from this store and if you ever do a deal with them make sure you check everything you signing because they will scam you and give you cheap quality windows. Also, they don't care what you say or do because they been in business for 25 years using scams like these. read more
