For most of the windows in my house, I would probably leave a very favorable review. The problem is the two windows that have had their seal break. The windows were bought in 2005. We noticed the seal broken, and it's been on the list of forever to try and figure out who made the windows (there is no branding on them). One of my friends, with a different brand of windows, actually just had her window with an issue replaced for free (she hadn't had them installed, the previous owner had). I ended up finding the label in the window frame that had information. I called, and was told that I had to pay a $50 fee within 30 days of buying the house (which was in 2015) to be able to assume the lifetime warranty of the windows. They consider this to be a service fee. Additionally, the warranty is ONLY the parts, per their terms and conditions. They charge an additional fee for installation. So Ideal Window Manufacturing refuses to replace windows with a lifetime warranty, charges a fee to have the warranty enforced, and charges a fee if you sell the house for someone to actually obtain the warranty that's already guaranteed with the windows? Please reach out if you are facing similar issues, I am working on putting together a class action lawsuit. read more

I spent months looking for a basement window that had a dryer vent exit imbedded in the window itself. I finally found it at IdealWindow. It's an outstanding window at a great value. I highly recommend there products. Great quality and easy to install. read more

Had all my windows replaced with what I was told is their top of the line. Well, slowly all the seals started to fail. I had to replace more than half of these windows. Of course the glass is covered under the warranty but installation isn't and it's expensive. Now I'm faced with another bill to replace the picture window when money is tight. Stay away from this company and get Marvin windows. read more

I bought a house with 14 windows in it from Ideal. They get 6" of condensation on them in the winter. I called Ideal and they said "the windows are doing what they are supposed to do" and that the humidity in my house is the problem. I installed new exhaust fans in the the kitchen and in the bathroom and I've monitored the humidity in the house and it ranges between 40 and 45%. I've had Pelle and Andersen windows in the past in a much colder climate in MN and never had this humidity problem. Ideal says that they don't sell in my state so they could not help me. It seems that they do sell to the Amish in Ohio and they likely sell to the Amish in my area in WI. Ideal would not stand behind their products and would not offer a solution other than lower the humidity in my house. read more

We have ideal windows and doors throughout our house. all seals have failed. Contacted the compan. they had my husband and I jumping through hoops first to prove they were theirs. Do they keep a record? And so we were able to for some of the window. we have a sliding door that literally exploded inside. next they wanted to know the size of every window And door with the broken seals. needless to say it was impossible for us to get this information. Their product failed shouldn't they handle it and be responsible for faulty product? do not recommend ideal they do not stand behind their product read more

I had them replace the glass in an exterior window frame. It was simple job and they did it just fine.

I live on a golf course and have had a number of windows broken requiring replacement. I have always used the original window installers to replace the windows for the following reasons: they are a pleasure to deal with; Caryn LaGreca takes the orders by phone and is always so sympathetic and easy to work with and their installer, Jorge Hernandez is the most charming and conscientious person. When he says he'll be there at 8 AM, he's there at 8 AM. He is careful removing the old window and after installing the new one he cleans up leaving the area spotless. Definitely 5 star service. read more

I am so happy with my new bedroom windows manufactured by ideal! Not more noisy wind squeals and most importantly, no more wind come in through the windows. They are easy to maneuver for cleaning and gide up and down with no extra effort. The locks line up perfectly too! Installed by Simplex, I am delighted! I will make sure Simplex uses Ideal Windows when I am ready to change my front bay window. read more

SWQ REMODELING LLC I am a contractor who has installed many different window company windows , This last year 2020 I installed Ideal windows into my own house with new construction windows , The windows were put together wrong one window was under sized and that made them move 3/16 of a inch up and down when locked, yes windows need room to expand and contract with cold and hot weather but not 3/16 of inch. So here it is a year later and I am still trying to get them to make the windows right very unhappy with spending over 4000.00 in materials and then my time. VERY UNHAPPY read more

I just had my contractor install several of Ideal's windows in my house about six months ago. A friend of mind mentioned that she used Ideal Windows about ten years ago...and she could not be more please with their products. I completely agree...I am also a happy camper. We decided to go with the "double-hung windows", and then also a "bow window" in the front of our home. I have gotten loads of complements (they do look awesome), but the BESTEST part is (yes, I said BESTEST) that I have seen a significant drop in my energy bill. WOOOO HOOOOO!!!! Since I have trouble making decisions...I was debating for a really long time on whether I wanted to go with wood or vinyl...I had used Anderson in the past...but damn...vinyl RULES. BONUS: I never have to paint the damn things again. WOOT. These windows are strong, easy to operate, and also look batsh*t AMAZING. I highly recommend Ideal Windows!!!! read more

We had 17 new windows installed in March 2020. Our experience with Ideal Windows has been 5 star from beginning to end. I had already had several estimates before Ideal. This company has impressed me. The sales presentation was friendly and informative. The sample and the product guarantees sold me. Financing was simple. After David made in-house measurements, he arrived on time with his crew, a few weeks later. The guys worked as a team, and the entire install was finished in about 4 hours. My home was completely clean when they left. One window needed service, which David told me. I received a phone call for repair within a few days....then the world stood still from Corona. Today, George made the service call, right on time. He was finished in less than 30 minutes. Every person I have spoken to has been with this company for years. David for 20; George for 42!!!! Where do you find such company loyalty anymore. Caryn assisted with financing. At every stage of this process, every employee has been knowledgeable, very pleasant, on time, and kept in touch by phone. To ensure that I was providing an accurate review, I waited a full year to write this. My windows were installed last August. I had 8 windows replaced using the Ultratite Series, and I am extremely pleased. The new windows are much more energy efficient than my previous windows, and they tilt for easier cleaning (which is definitely a plus for this girl lol). My house was bought brand new construction and now less than 5 years later, all 4 windows on the second floor have defective seals resulting in condensation between the panes. When I called to get them replaced, the manufacturer (who writes the warranty) informed me 'they will honor the warranty', however the service to install them will be $642. When I voiced my issue with their warranty purposefully excluding the service, which creates an incentive for them to produce a faulty product and then profit off of the 'warranty' service calls, they stated they are 'honoring the warranty on the parts' (as if this was doing me a favor) and that they had already given me a discount. Unless you want crappy windows that are manufactured by a business that will profit off of having to replace them, I suggest you avoid these guys and go to a honest business. read more

Idea Windows produces outstanding windows. I've had my Ideal windows for about 7 years, and had a bit of a small issue. I got I touch with the company and in no time the issue was resolved. I bought windows from a local company 2 years ago. Since then they have gone out of business. I finally decided it was time to wash my windows and although I hate to admit it, I couldn't figure out how to pull the bottom one in for cleaning. I googled Ideal Windows and emailed them my dilemma. Within a half hour someone actually called me! I explained my predicament and the gentleman patiently walked me through how to open the top and bottom windows to pull in for cleaning. When I went to wash the windows I realized one lock was broken and a few others did not line up well to lock. I emailed Ideal again and received an email from Caryn in the customer service department. She was amazing and said someone would call me to set up an appointment. Now Ideal is located in Bayonne and I live in Freehold...no problem she said. The next day I received a call from the serviceman George who set up the appointment. I have a very business work schedule. He was VERY accommodating. Not only did George fix my broken lock and adjust the windows that the locks wouldn't close, but he also gave me an education on my windows. I now know how and why every part of them works and how to treat them properly. In this day and age of lousy customer service, Ideal Windows was an incredible company to work with. read more
