It was really sensitive before I came in and it's been a week since I got it fixed and I haven't had any pain since. Not only that but he was able to change the filling from metal to white. The receptionist was able to make my appointment within the week. I came in 10 minutes early and they were able take me in right away. I was so stunned because I would normally wait 20 minutes or so at other dentist offices. Overall, great dentist and staff.

My mother also went to get a basic tooth removal and they left a bit of the root there. She had to come back a few jours later to get the rest removed. It was very obvious so I don't understand I they missed the chip. A few years ago I went to get a cavity redone and it fell out within one week. Had to go back and get it filled again. They also gave me a numbing ointment every time I went to get my teeth cleaned. I don't know if it was supposed to make me comfortable or to cover up their messy work. They get a lot of passive immigrant patients and I honestly think these doctors take advantage of them. I don't know why I put up with this place for so long. Went as far as I could after getting to my senses in my late teens (a few years ago).

I started going to Dr. Perry way back in the early 2000 for my extractions. Ever since.. I've never gone anywhere else even though I moved to Waltham. It's small but clean, and he's very good to the vietnamese community of Dorchester--always interacting with his patients both young and old, and never letting the language barrier hold him back. He employs a bilingual staff for this reason. He's got a terrible memory in that he always expects to see a chatty 6 year old bambling into his office when I make an appointment. Beyond the fond memories, he is completely professional and the place is friendly and immaculate.

Now, I'm not sure of her name (just know that she's an Asian dentist) doesn't really pay attention to her patients while working on their teeth. From my personal perspective while I was have having my teeth cleaned, she seemed a bit off, and was more into gossiping with her collegue and talking rather than checking into her patients to see if they're doing well, what not. Ironically however because she wasn't paying attention, she accidentally hit one of my gums while cleaning thus making it bleed. I was very upset and not at all satisfied. This place once made me excited every time I had an appointment but I'm not sure if that excitement would stay with me for very long.

I've also grown an affinity with watching home renovation shows now because it was always on the screens when I'm in the dental chair.

When I didn't receive a call, I followed up and spoke with Miranda and the experience was incredibly frustrating. She was extremely difficult. Instead of helping, she was combative and dismissive. We went back and forth on the phone for about seven minutes over a simple request: arranging the follow-up call I had already been told to expect. I had to ask multiple times before she finally agreed to have the doctor call me directly. When I asked when I could expect the call, she told me the doctor is "busy all day, every day" and couldn't provide even a general timeframe. That response was unprofessional and unnecessary. I completely understand that doctors are busy but basic communication and courtesy should still apply. This interaction made an already stressful situation worse. I hope management addresses how patients are spoken to, because no one should have to push this hard just to receive follow-up.
