As Houston's only urban/street art gallery, Aerosol Warfare Gallery & Boutique has got a great…read morething going on and are doing wonders for the graffiti artists here in Houston. It's also more than just a gallery space but an urban wear boutique as well. Christian Azul and GONZO 247, Houston's famous and incredibly talented artists, are the down-to-Earth guys behind Aerosol Warfare and made this eclectic location home a few years ago. But they've been on the scene long before that. I love that each time you visit Aerosol, you never know how it's going to look like inside because the walls are constantly re-painted with *sick* murals in the gallery and boutique space. Clothing is mostly designed tees and some denim, with a few belts and designed bandannas in the curio. I've added a few funky shirts to my collection, one most recently is neon green with a giant jelly-fish like creature atop a head ... with a fist in its mouth. Strange, but ultra unique. You'll also find more art hanging from the designed walls, but in the back is the official gallery space. It's just a small room, but once again, always changing. For those who complain about the gallery space, you have to look at the big picture. Aerosol Warfare Gallery & Boutique is one giant piece of art itself. You never know where you're going to find the clothes laid out, the funky furniture complete with a vintage painted refrigerator and boom box, shelves of books about graffiti and art, newly designed murals, and even the splatter-painted restroom; they all uniformly come together and make Aerosol what it is ... funky, urban street art. This is also the place to pick up a copy of the hard-to-find FRANK magazine. Aerosol is also active in the community, doing live work for non-profit events and hosting events of their own. They've joined with CKC StArt Street & Urban Art and offer graffiti classes, led by GONZO247, to everyday folks like you and I who just want to learn more about technique, history and just have fun. Anyone up for a lesson? I heard they're really entertaining. If you really want to learn more about Aerosol, subscribe to their newsletter to get word about new exhibits, art openings, artist meet and greets, classes, new clothing lines and sales. Their gallery openings are a blast because you get to meet the artists, maybe check out live art, listen to a DJ, sip bevs and chat up with the owners; but swing by on a regular day to really admire the exhibit space and sift through their gear without mobs of people getting in your way. It will definitely be time well spent. As I mentioned, the owners are two of the kindest guys I've ever met. Anyone who comes to their boutique, from the high money-makin' art collector in a suit, to recently-exposed-to-art tweens--and even the neighborhood homeless dude--the Aerosol team treats welcomes all with open arms. I had been curious about Aerosol Warfare's gallery, but I always seemed to miss the openings. Plus, (begins whining) it's on the other side of Montrose/Fourth Ward/Midtown and that's faaar (NOT!--jk). Can you tell I'm sheltered? Anyhow, I talked to Christian and he couldn't be nicer, more knowledgeable, and enthusiastic on the subject of graffiti art. My personal favorite is a local artist called Ghost Town. I love finding his Pac-Man ghost tile mosaics in random places around Houston. I hope he gets a show or produces more stuff for the gallery. For the time being, I "invested" in two magnets of Pac-Man and a ghost and they now proudly occupy space on my own personal Galerie Le Frigidaire.

Amy and team were great to work with beginning to end! I am currently pregnant and needed some help…read moretransitioning my son's closet to allow for toy storage, the nursery closet into baby ready, and our master closet into a more functional space. Amy was super helpful providing multiple options for products to best utilize each space. Once she and her team arrived, they quickly got to work and created organization magic! We are absolutely loving the master closet and I feel so relieved to have the nursery closet ready for when baby arrives. Will absolutely work with them again when the need arises.

Update: The outcome of the larger project completed by Eco Modern for us was of very confusing…read morequality at best and made us question how billable hours were used by the three people at our home for nearly 8 hours. When you are paying nearly $300 per hour for organization systems to be set up, why would you want an outcome of numerous plastic grocery bags meticulously folded into triangles? That is part of the puzzling outcome we received along with nicely organized spices among other things. In other areas, top drawers were organized logically while bottom drawers were so jam packed with items that we could not open the drawers. I could go on with the questionable outcomes. We addressed them directly and politely with the owner, Amy Vance, during and after her and her team's visit. She did not seem to grasp that the work was incomplete and deflected. We followed up with a nuanced, respectful e-mail. Amy offered 30 minutes on a different day to return and try to correct the issues. Scheduling, travel, and other commitments made coordinating such a visit impossible for us, but we appreciated the gesture. We did not, however, appreciate the inappropriately emotional nature of her response. The work was helpful to an extent but in the end felt like a money grab and did not align with the quality of work done in their prior smaller projects for us by Eco Modern. Every business has bad days but this outcome was really frustrating as we are very busy. The whole experience defeated the purpose of hiring an organizer we thought was professional. We wish them well but have removed Eco Modern from our trusted vendors.

We were a large group but Alex's directions and assistance made it very easy to follow on our own.
