We recently moved into an 8-year old home that was very boring, all builder grade decorations/colors, and my wife wanted to do a facelift on living area, kitchen, gameroom and two bedrooms. We interviewed several interior decorators, but The Design Firm won our business due to their incredible professionalism, creativity and the attention to detail was palpable. We had a series of meetings with designer, Jenn (cant remember last name), and even Kara (the owner) participated in some of our meetings. They even created an artist rendering of what we could expect with the finished project which was icing on the cake for a husband with no vision! The total project took about 3 months and they handled everything from choosing the final colors, ordering furniture, light fixtures, and paints, completed install in a timely fashion, but always alerted us of timeline of project, including one delay due to item being on back order. My wife really wanted project complete in time for a special party and The Design Firm worked diligently to make sure project was complete in time for party, communication was outstanding and helped relieve wife's stress. I HIGHLY recommend The Design Firm to make your visions become a reality, I am now a true believer in having an outside interior decorator handle your vision, and our finished project is stunning and gets compliments from all of our guests! We are now planning a second project with The Design Firm to overhaul our outdoor patio and master bedroom/bath, and I am excited to see what their creative minds have in store for us. I had a large, approximately 5' x 7' tempered glass Solex window explode early on a Saturday evening. A different company had been making numerous excuses for not getting a replacement window. When that other company finally showed up with glass that didn't fit after waiting almost a month, I canceled them and called Century Glass & Interiors. Maybritt was so helpful on the phone and told me that Solex glass was available though the other company claimed it was no longer being made. Joe came out and took measurements the day after the other company showed up with the wrong size glass. He was very precise in taking measurements in all areas of the window. About a week later, the glass arrived and the installation went very smoothly. Joe took the time to add extra caulking and they cleaned up all the broken glass that was still in the frame. They did an absolutely excellent job and I definitely would use this business again. I highly recommend them.

They listen to the clients ideas and then make it 1000x better by their selections . When people walk in my home they truthfully say this is Brenda all the way !! I walked by Luminous Trends several times and never thought I could walk in to browse. The sales…read morepeople were very friendly. I feel comfortable shopping there. They don't look down at me as I couldn't afford to buy those fancy light fixtures displayed in the front of the store. However, I found a few affordable products that I would like to outfit my house with. The saleswoman introduced herself as Yare as she showed me the product sales specs sheet on the Alcamo LED Chandelier (model 12285.02). That was a gorgeous light fixture with 8 integrated LED to stretch to 180 inches in length and can be curled to 75.5 inches height by 55 inches wide shaped as a dome. I would need a mansion to display this light. I was intrigued with the technology on how LED can illuminate in the form of a rope. I really thought that was fiber optic. Speaking of lights through a tube, I found an LED Bath Light by Modern Forms with the light tube on both sides of fixture. This light fixture with a cinema feel could jazz up my bathroom. If I add this to my bathroom, I would need to remodel the entire house. I'll keep that in mind on my next house. Yare gave me her business card and invited me to check on their website for additional lights that are not shown in the store. So, I browsed through LuminousTrends.com and found a couple of lamps as an addition to my existing lighting. I emailed her my question and she responded very quickly. Shopping at Luminous Trends is convenient. I can shop in person and online at ease.

This is a pretty amazing lighting store located in Sugarland, offering pretty spectacular products of all sorts. So it's very shiny and glitzy and gorgeous and definitely well worth the trip, especially if you happen to be in the plaza already. I like it here and I've been here on a number of occasions now. They're right next to one of our favorite Indian restaurants so we often end up browsing here afterwards. Their selection is amazing even though prices are a little high.

She has helped me rethink some very tricky design challenges in my older home. For example, I was not liking my dining room but couldn't figure out exactly why as I liked each piece but just it just didn't look right all together somehow. Missy brilliantly suggested the light fixture was too small, unremarkable and hung too high over the table. She suggested that changing it to something more dramatic that would make more of a statement would help bring the room together. I had never thought of the light fixture as being a problem. Really I had never thought of it at all, but sure enough once I made that change it was a dramatic improvement and led the way to me changing out one of the main pieces of art, getting rid of two side chairs and a putting a different side table in that looked good with the new modern chandelier. I love my dining room now! It's my eclectic style, but it's cohesive, and I never would have gotten there without Missy's consultation. She also just has great taste and such extensive experience that she has the perfect "eye", which allows her to quickly and with great accuracy nail the paint color or tile size that will look best, or warn you away from the problems you might run into with a particular fabric or an uncomfortable chair depth or a rug that's too small for the space.. She is also extremely practical in thinking about what will work with pets and kids. Missy really knows her stuff. It is great to see her getting so many accolades and industry recognition lately.
