For a coupla guys with a boat and a parachute, Dos Hermanos delivered a precision, highly enjoyable trip above Puerto Vallarta's beautiful beach.
We met Roger in front of the OXXO on the beach where they were running their small operation (by the Burro Bar). His English is excellent as he lived in the states for many years and returned here to take care of his father. We were already looking to parasail, expecting to pay up to $50 each. His opening price was $35 and his approach was so genuinely friendly and pressure-free we were instantly sold!
We had immediate plans so retuned later in the afternoon to find six people in front of us. The queue went very quickly as the rides are 7-8 minutes each. We enjoyed an AMAZING margarita at the beachside bar nearby. No complaints.
The most amazing part of the experience to me was that we never touched he water or went on a boat. They lifted us off the beach with barely a jog to start, then landed us gently in the same spot with NASA-like precision. I shot 60 fps hi-def video that I'll try to upload.
Oh, and the ride was smooth, the views great, and the length felt just right. From that height things move slowly, so it seemed that much longer and I would have been ready to for the landing. Definitely just long enough to be exhilarating.
Easily worth the $35. Look for Roger on the beach near Burro Bar or in front of the OXXO! read more
