The vegetarian burrito I ordered was smaller than expected, about half of what I get at Chipotle. However, it tasted great, especially with their homemade habanero sauce! Eh. I'm missing what the hype is on this place. I'm guessing i ordered wrong but, i got the nachos. Which I'd really describe more as a salad on tortilla chips. No queso? No melted cheese? Extra charge for guac even with no meat. Next time I'll go to chipotle or bandit taco. The food was served quickly. The spot was clean. I could barely hear a word that the gals working said. Would be nice if more of the toppings were labeled, but then again, i don't see myself returning. My boyfriend got a burrito. He said it was okay. That's about it. Sometimes you just want a fast and close-to-authentic Mexican place. I have used Dos Toros for just that purpose for a while, since they opened in the building where I work. But, I have to admit, each time I eat their food, I am filled with nothing other than mediocre food. Please don't get me wrong - there are a lot of choices and they all seem fresh and enticing. However, they all lack flavor. Today, I had a chicken bowl. The ingredients were okay. But there was really no good memorable flavor at all, no spices that stood out in my mind, no preparation that was so skillful that I couldn't get it somewhere else. In short, Dor Toros does nothing to distinguish itself from other similar restaurants. Okay, so I shouldn't expect much from the slightly upscale version of Chipotle. But, if I am honest, Chipotle has better flavor than Dos Toros. The only thing that Dos Toros has going for it is a killer location right in the building where I work. So, will I never go there again??? No - I probably will go if it's raining or cold or I don't have much time. But I really cannot recommend this place to other people. read more

I placed an order on Uber Eats and when I clicked rice and beans my protein selection deleted chicken (which I only realized after my order was confirmed). I called the restaurant on a leap of faith to see if they could change it. Mareicca was extremely nice and even though they had already made my burrito she offered to re-make it for me! Dos Toros has incredible hospitality and cares for their customers. This is my first time ordering from them and I will definitely become a regular. Also - the burrito SLAPS. at this point I'm one lawsuit rumor more from being over chipotle in its entirety so Dos Toros entered my life at the right time - seeing this is a mexican joint from CA brought me immediate hope for my tastebuds endeavors - fun fact with the app you get $3 off your first purchase so my double (we talking X TWO) chicken salad was $9 - this bowl was PACKED. the salad mix was not just watery crunchy romaine core but various leafy greens axtually filling the full base - you can add up 5x each topping so I was happily eating each bite with enough salsa and pickles onions. the roasted salsa was too weak and burnt water tasting for me but the green salsa packed good flavor - the chicken was clearly just cooked and still supple. you could taste the garlic pepper and spices that shown through enough to show this place isn't mass grossly producing - I'm a huge fan. We popped in for a quick lunch today and were definitely impressed. Clean space, efficient and polite service, and delicious food. I got a bowl, hunny got a burrito. Love that they have options for every dietary preference. I know other places like chipotle and qdoba are similar but I really enjoyed the quality of the ingredients here -- especially the sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. Salsas are all also delicious and well worth trying. In terms of flavor and quality of the food hubby and I both agreed we prefer this place over chipotle if given the choice. No flavor just filler - Pinto beans seemed fresh so okay - tortilla is rubbery and wet weird!! Don't know why I added Brussels sprouts but they may be better as a side but I could smell them. That's on me. Guacamole today seems old. I understand that quac turns brown etc but it just seemed like they kept mixing it. But.. the Sauces are on point.
