    Beef Birria Tacos (3)

My wife and I tried this restaurant tonight and it it definitely a keeper! The service was amazing and the food was excellent. The meals my wife and I had were very flavorful and the portions were perfect. The restaurant was very clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again and would recommend anyone in the area to as well. I almost forgot and I can't believe I did but the margaritas are amazing as well.

Unfortunately, not sure where to start, other than truly disappointed. We ordered dinner from here tonight, but can't say we'll ever do that again. My husband and I each got the steak fajitas for $24.00 per plate. First off, this is my fajita plate, I haven't even eaten yet, but as you can see, little to no meat can be seen. To make matters worse, the box in which it was sent was leaking from all 4 corners. As if that wasn't bad enough, we were sent taco sized tortillas, not fajita sized, and we were only sent 4. So between two people, there were 4 tiny tortillas to share. For $24.00, I expect to at least have an ounce or two of meat, but our boxes were filled with soggy vegetables, soggy rice, and poorly flavored minuscule bits of meat. I actually had to dig to find the meat. I understand inflation, but there's a difference between inflation and being ripped off or being dishonest about what you sell. I am embarrassed to even be writing such a negative review, but I believe restaurants need to be made aware of incidents like this so they can be addressed. It's possible this isn't their typical practice (and I would hope not); however, it is unacceptable to charge $24.00 for a steak fajita plate that looks like this. Is it because we ordered take out? Was it bad night? Was there a shortage of ingredients? I would have preferred to have been notified that my order couldn't have been fulfilled than to have been charged what we were for dinner tonight. Wish I could tell you we enjoyed our meal, but we didn't. Wish I could tell you that I look forward to visiting it in person, but we won't ever dine from there again. Only positive thing worth writing was that the guacamole was decent. Not exceptional. Not worth ordering again either. Just decent.

Got the mango and the tinja taco but thought they were just okay. Didn't like the tortilla texture but it's a vibe here. A bit loud and heard the drinks here were pretty good and strong.

If you're looking for the heartbeat of Dupont Circle, this is it. Mission is a D.C. institution for a reason--it's massive, loud, and consistently delivers exactly what you want when you're craving a margarita and a high-energy vibe. Housed in a stunning four-story converted townhouse, the space itself is impressive. Between the rustic wood beams, the huge glass atrium, and the multiple bars, it feels like a high-end saloon that never stops moving. It's the ultimate spot for a birthday, a massive group happy hour, or a rowdy weekend brunch. The Food & Drinks: The Margaritas: You can't come here and not get a marg. Whether you go classic or frozen, they are strong and well-balanced. Their Happy Hour (4-6 PM) is arguably one of the best deals in the neighborhood. Taco Trio: I usually go for the Baja Fish and Carnitas. The fish is crispy, and the tortillas actually hold up to the toppings. Chipotle Chicken Rollups: These are basically a Mission rite of passage. They're the perfect salty, savory bar snack to share with the table while you're a few rounds in. Guacamole & Queso: Solid, reliable, and comes out fast. The chorizo queso is a game-changer if you're looking to go all out. The Experience: The service is impressively fast considering how packed this place gets. Chef Erwin Rodas and the Mission Group team (who also run Mission Navy Yard and The Admiral) have this down to a science. Even when there's a line out the door, the kitchen stays consistent. Pro Tip: If you're planning on Bottomless Brunch, book your table way in advance. It gets wild in the best way possible. If you want a slightly "quieter" experience, try to snag a seat on the outdoor patio for some prime Dupont people-watching.

    Birria Breakfast Sandwhich

I've been to Mission Dupont for brunch multiple times, and it's consistently one of my favorite brunch spots in the city. The biggest draw for me is the bottomless drink package. In my opinion, it's one of the best deals in DC because you're not limited to just mimosas. You get bottomless Bloody Marys, mimosas, margaritas, and rail drinks, which gives you a lot more variety than most brunch spots offer. For a little under $30, being able to enjoy a mix of drinks throughout brunch feels like a steal. On this visit, I ordered the birria breakfast sandwhich, which came with a consommé dipping sauce. It was really good and surprisingly filling. The portion was so large that I couldn't finish it and ended up taking the rest home and eating it later that night. The staff has always been another strong point. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and keeps things moving without making you feel rushed. Great drinks, generous portions, and solid service make Mission Dupont an easy recommendation for brunch.

Mission food is very consistent- some food is really good and others can be bland. The carnitas quesadilla is amazing, and the carnitas is probably the best flavored of their meat options. The queso is not the best I've ever had but it does the job and great portion size to split with friends. The ancho aioli that comes with the quesadilla is also amazing. The birria was also pretty decent- nothing spectacular but definitely a solid Birria (kinda similar to Trader Joe's birria lol). If you can, make a reservation the day before, they're usually available for outside until a few hours before your dining time, and it's hard to get a table without a long wait otherwise. The vibes and community are wonderful so definitely recommend as a place to spend an evening outside dinner with

I had a really great time here during happy hour! We sat outside because it was a beautiful spring day. The happy hour deals were awesome- I got a Paloma for $9.50. I love that they asked what I'd like on the rim. The drink was delicious and not too sweet. For dinner I got the happy hour nachos which were only $10. As others have said it's more Tex Mex or Mexican American but good nachos are good nachos! My friend got the enchiladas which they said were amazing. Service was excellent- they were quick to bring everything and our server was really nice. It looked like rain and they were proactive about moving people inside, closing out checks, and bringing out umbrellas. We had a great time!

My sister was in town and we decided to hit the Phillips collection for the Mucha exhibit. I had seen it before but she really liked it. The museum was busy, no real surprise on a nice saturday. The weather forecast was rain but it was sunny and nice with a breeze. After the exhibit we were hungry. Compliments only had a line that was out the door and down the block. I'm glad they're busy. My sister doesn't eat meat so we had to move tom another place to grab a bite. We decided on Mission right near the train stop. With the heat and humidity inside was where we sat. Small table near a window. The place is busy inside and out. After a bit the waitress ( I think her name was Emily) came over and Erica ordered a watermelon margarita and I ordered a Pacifico. The menu is pretty big for a small restaurant. So many choices. I decide on the chicken tingo tacos x 2. She decided on the guacamole toast. The music is cranking, like on 10 for some reason. We can barely hear each other talk. My only real complaint about the lunch visit. After a bit the food arrives and the tacos are tasty. In ordered without cilantro (bothers my stomach, like throw up bother). The chicken is spicy and good. Fresh fixings for the taco toppings. Erica likes the guacamole toast, commenting the freshness of the guac plus the generous toppings. It looked small but covered the plate. The beer is cold and margarita is tasty, I had a sip. Definitely a spot to visit if you happen to be in Dupont Circle and feel like Mexican. Many options on the menu, brunch looked good with a large variety of taco choices. I believe they have happy hour during the week if you're thirsty or have some people with you and it's time to celebrate something.

Came here for happy hour and ordered the chicken roll ups. They were only $10 for happy hour and were very yummy! We sat outside and it was a good ambience surrounded by others on a beautiful day in the middle of the city. It's right across from the metro station so it was an easy trip.

First time here. We ordered chips and queso and out of the gate it is a hard Pass I ordered 2 mushroom tacos absolutely no flavor. My husband got 2 chicken Tinga tacos and dry and gross. Bottom line total MISS very generic! If I were you keep on walking!
