Dose is a great local coffee shop in the Sylvan Park/West End area of Nashville. They have excellent coffee, including some flavored drinks, bagels, and pastries. My favorite offering is the pumpkin donut muffin -- it's only available in fall and large enough to split! read more

Have tried them three times now. Service is always quick and friendly, however the lattes were cold all three times and overly milky. I've tried the food each time and mostly have been disappointed. The biscuits are very dry and hard each time, especially overpriced for having so many other options in town with great breakfast options. I did try a zucchini bread and that was okay. Now, the interior is very nice. Lots of light and cheery, friendly locals too. Nice place to do a little work. read more

Uno. Dos. Tres. Me gusta cafes! There's two ways to look at this place. On the left you have the counter, which is tastefully designed. It looks like Sandra Lee is going to walk out from the back and bring me my coffee. Then the right side of the café looks like they've just moved in and are still deciding on which frames to hang up on the wall. Just a thought! Anyways, I was here for coffee. I went for a simple latte... yum! It was perfect just the way they served it (no sugar added). The friendly employee that took my order also recommended the jalapeno and goat cheese egg sandwich. It was surely spicy and the portion was more than I expected for breakfast. Overall, a great place to stop by for breakfast before heading to the office. read more

Cutest little coffee shop tucked away right off the corner of west end! ever since the coffee shop craze started a few years ago, nashville has BLOSSOMED with a bajillion hipster coffee shops trying to out hipster the other ones. and every single one in this city has its own personality and their own crowd. You can see from the menu picture posted that it has a very very simple menu. My cousin and I came in super thirsty after trekking through town trying to mural hunt (yes that is a real activity. if you dont do it yet, then ur not a real hipster). We got the SHAKERATO and a ICED WHITE PEACH TEA. the shakerato is like a combo between a latte and a foamy iced drink thing. its liquid.. it wasn't bad! if you allow the foam to settle down, it ends up tasting like an iced latte basically. the white peach tea isnt sweetened but definitely quenched my thirst unlike any sprite i've ever drank. Theres a cute mural on the side of the shop where the cars park (i will admit: thats the initial reason why we first came in). If you're lucky enough to catch no cars in front of it, u can take a cool pic! The interior was FULL of natural light and small tables for people to study. it was basically all filled up on a beautiful sunday afternoon. why were more people in this coffee shop than outside exploring? I think that gives you a sense of how awesome this coffee shop is. of personal note: im a big tibetan supporter, and i loved that they displayed pictures of tibet and scenery around the coffee shop. read more

My 2-year old and I visited Dose in east. We went on a morning date for a cortado, milk, and one of their massive cinnamon rolls. It was so cozy in their and our food/drinks were great, too. I love the option to sit in that front window! Great for people-watching. read more

Stopped in here today for the first time to kill some time and get some work done while my daughter was attending an event on Vanderbilt's campus. Good proximity to the campus and they have a private lot for parking, frequently a challenge in the area with other popular shops. It seems I always try a chai for my first drink at a new coffee shop (weird, I know!) and wasn't disappointed in Dose's chai tea latte. Good flavor, nice level of spice, but nothing too out of the ordinary or chart topper. They've got plenty of tables and counter space for setting up with your laptop and getting some work done with their free wifi offering. Internet speeds were okay (10Mbps/2Mbps). The only issue I really had was limited power plugs available, but this may be intentional to keep people from "camping" too long in the shop. A good shop to add to your list of potential remote work locations when you need to get out of the house but still work through your email or task list while you're away. read more

I'm so glad I managed to discover Dose this past summer. Not only is it much closer to where I live, but it also has a much quieter environment than many of Nashville's other popular coffeeshops (i.e. Fido's, Bongo Java, Frothy Monkey), making it much more of a go-to place in my book. Their coffee is on the stronger side, but wonderful nonetheless. The lattes, as well as the art that goes with them, are delightfully strong and rich. And if you aren't feeling coffee, they also have a wide variety of loose leaf teas. Not to mention the baristas are very approachable and friendly! Parking is usually fine here, but you can definitely face a lack of space during times where everyone is most likely to have a personal coffee day (weekends 9am-12pm). read more

Dose is a cute coffeeshop that reminded me of one I used to frequent in Houston, Texas, when I lived there. It's bright, clean, airy, and charming. Plenty of tables inside and some tables outside as well. They have pastries at the checkout, but they also have a menu of breakfast/lunch cafe food that looked very good. On this, my first visit to Dose, I had only a cappuccino. It was very good. I can see myself making another visit to Dose in the near future! read more

After a day of mural hunting and stuffing our faces, my cousin and I stopped by here to cool down with some coffee! We knew we were in hipster central as soon as we walked in. The super clean and modern interior definitely brings out good vibes whether you're studying or just hanging out with friends! The menu is very simple and filled with a bunch of coffee terminologies that I've never heard of before. With the barista's help, I was able to decide on a drink. He highly recommended the "shakerato" saying it was a fun take on coffee. The shakerato is different in that it has a foamy top layer. I thought the first sip tasted like soy sauce.... My palate was very confused... However, the coffee was a lot better after I had drank past the foam layer. I think I just wasn't that into the whole foam business. They also sell fresh pastries and food! I was really bummed that I was so full from brunch, but I would definitely want to try out their pastries next time! Great coffee. One of the best iced americanos in Nashville...but the service is sooooooooo slow. If you put an order in online they don't make it until you get there. ??? What's the point of that? That's pretty lame. Also if you order anything with cream a sweetener they tell you to just add it yourself even when you order a drink that way. If you have to be anywhere on time this is not your place. If you have 25 minutes (I'm not exaggerating) to wait for your coffee you'll be fine. read more

We were staying in Nashville for a few days, and were thrilled to find Dose! Every coffee and food item we tried was amazing! The espresso is roasted just right and the shots are pulled perfectly which makes for delicious drinks... hot lattes, iced lattes, cappuccinos, and shakeratos were the drinks we tried. The food was incredible as well! Banana chocolate chip muffins, zucchini muffins, rosemary biscuit sandwich, and the avocado toast were all an absolute treat for the senses! read more

One of my favorite coffee shops in Nashville. Always friendly baristas. Great coffee and great food. I only wish they were open later. One thing to note , they only have blue corn chips at this location even though the menu says sweet potato chips. I love Dose! Yummy, fresh and they have gluten free bread/baked goods. I usually get the chai tea latte, a couple of the GF baked goods (gotta stock up!), and one of their breakfast sandwiches. I wish I could eat here every morning. Only downside: There isn't a lot of parking and it's small inside, so it's not ideal for groups. read more

This is a great place to get some light work done or to chill for a couple of hours. The inside gets a lot of natural light which makes it comfortable to read. Unfortunately, the food and drink are overpriced. Biscuits are nice and flaky. The spinach and onion quiche is also very flavorful. The latte I've had was bland and even lukewarm. (tasted like lukewarm milk). Even though the menu items have a lovely taste and the vibe is chill, portion size is not worth the price. As a heads up, this place has a pretty tiny parking lot that's shared with a wine store so I recommend trying to street park in a neighborhood near by. This is definitely a place you could spend the whole day studying at- they have plenty of seating, WiFi, outlets, and actual food instead of your standard coffeehouse pastries. I got a vanilla iced latte and a cheddar scone. The latte was solid, nothing fancy (like most of their coffee menu) and the scone was like cornbread with cheese on top so I really enjoyed it. I've been attempting to try all of the best coffee places in Nashville while I'm visiting so if you're wanting to do the same, I would definitely stop by here! read more

Dose coffee is a bit higher priced than the other coffee establishments with in a very close proximity. When it opened it was able to warrant the price hike. Food selection is good for sweets, not so much savory and even then, not as much as you would expect. Have lived in 7 of the top 10 top ten expensive places in the country. They are surely using their location and rent prices to price their coffee and offerrings. Seating is painfully hard and the sound quality is awful. I drive past this place 2 times a day and go often for basic coffee and and to meet co workers before meetings. Also...a pokestop. - Don't judge, I have a son and... I want to really love this place, but it is one of those places of location location location. If they would get a Matcha Tea menu that is interesting, I would be their biggest cheerleader...hint hint. Not my favorite coffee place in my rotation, but will come back for reasons stated above. Service is fair, price is higher than others, location is great. read more
